Figured you'd get gatelady to test the scale but then realized next video we would be watching a grave being dug with the digger along the ditch.... :)
Great video, great to see you back at it, with the bulls I’d put some green mesh, sheeting boards up as they would constantly be on wet bedding or have the bad weather constantly hitting them
@@CrawfordsFarm1 cool, where I work at, we had the same kind of pens just with gates not a pole running horizontal , we eventually boarded up to about 8ft just to keep some of the weather off them and to stop bedding up so often
I think you should get a green sheet and hang it down and make it so you can pull it up when you need to bed at the bulls because all the snow will ruin the bedding really quick and will keep the bulls dry and also keep the shed nice and dry not wet all the time hope this helps thanks
I wonder if you could fit some galebreaker to the end of the bull pens and side of the handling system. Keep some of that snow out and a bit less tempting for them to jump that wall.
You should be rightly proud of your new shed (apart from those water troughs) your life is going to be so much simpler (cattle wise) from now on 👍👏👏👏👏👏
Love the new shed as for the troughs might be worth looking at flexible or quick release baynet conection. Welcome back to normality. Just one thing axel stand would not put there high risk of slipping. And cracking the disk better on the chassis. No chance of slipping.
New shed is great, certainly better idea to finish it before putting stock in. Did you design it so that bale shredder and mixing wagon can be used in the future? Gate lady doing a great job, has potential as a stockwoman.
Hi Crawford farm 1 thing I did when I put my handling crush and raceways was a slatted tank under it so I could wash it all down between groups when TB testing etc. I worked in other people’s set ups and found it a real mess when we had finished TB testing and a pain to clean .Now with my set up it takes no time to clean the raceways down just wash into slats and suck out with slurry tanker easy.Cost more but time cleaning was halved so over a few years kinda paid for itself. I know it’s to late for you now, cheers😮
Dont have a tanker and dont really want one. Also we dont have to do any Tb testing so thats 2 less messy passes in the crush. But i get your point, would be handy
Fantastic shed Crawford all the best with it.

Can’t believe how chilled Euro is in the new shed. Couldn’t have imagined him like that when you first got him!

Aye might do something there, although thats north facing so doesn’t often get the weather. See how it is over the next month

Great video Crawford. New shed is going to make handling easier. 👍🏼👍🏼. Enjoyed watching
Looking good for the bull area. Can't wait to see the cattle enter there area
😁 soon
Love the safety of always having a lashed gate between you and the bulls at any given time, they can be gentle giants, but never trusted.
Impressive handling set up
Great video Crawford aye you won’t know your self with this new shed it will make handling cattle so much easier 💪👌
Loved the purse while climbing through gates in the barn. The lass has her priorities straight!

Nice job moving the bulls in.
Think about putting a second lower rail on the bull pens

Class shed tho😊
I dare you to try the scale with gate lady.
Great video Crawford ❤😂
😂The only reason they aren't going through that gap is because they can't be bothered... Its huge!
Camera makes it look bigger :)
Flipping great the way you can swing the gates round for the bull pens, no way you would of been able to manage on your own otherwise
Did I see a ring on the Gate Lady??
Thats being there a few months now . He has been asked that question before but hasn't answered it yet 😅
@@sammorton4576 A quick Google has answered the question. ;-)
@@DannyReaganNYC and what was the answer 😁
@@sammorton4576 Put it this way, if you want to keep things secret, don't make public online engagement announcements. lol
Wow just wow ❤ b safe x
Think your needing some space boarding or vented sheets on that shed or your going to have some wet bedding when it snows
Mantap bos
