Thank you for not putting music, it seems that everything is inundated by it but here, I thoroughly enjoyed the absence of if and just the pristine ambient sounds. Watching you work was mesmerizing and the steps were beautiful. The finished result was gorgeous.
This guitar is so beautiful!
I am overwhelmed! I kind of feel on the edge of crying, because of the pure beauty!
This is one of the funkiest projects i've seen in my life. Hat off sir, awesome job. Great artist.
ive watched alot of these vids, concrete, metal, glass but this one truly is beautiful in the end
I love the combo of this one! Wish I could see it in real life, its so cool!!!
Absolutely stunning. Great job!
The guitar turned out like a masterpiece!!! This could be a $3000 guitar but you can't put a price on a original. It's totally handmade and I love the olive wood!!!
Very unique spin on blending artisan wood and epoxy. Great job!👍
One of the most beautiful guitars iv ever seen. I love how you didn’t add any colour to the epoxy so as not to draw any attention away from the beauty of the olive wood.
It's beautiful, the woods are just gorgeous
This came out quite nice! Thanks for sharing! Pam
Thanks Pam.
Excellent looking axe, great craftsmanship.
The wet look is pretty awesome.
Great guitar build of 2021.
Wouaaââââhhh ! ! !
Marvelous !
I am speechless.
Bravo.
Thanks
Beautiful. Very well done.
Really nice results, I am thinking of making one of my own in the future and this is a great guide! Thank You!!
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. Good luck on your own project, the most important tip I can give you is to seal the wood to avoid bubbles, and to mix your epoxy very thoroughly
This is absolutely beautiful 😍
I Love it, You are an amazingly talented guitar builder. I loved watching you create your work of art.
Thank you very much, I appreciate the love
I was hoping you’d play it
Good shit tho came out tuff
At the time of filming I didn't have my Focusrite yet, but my next build will have some sound samples. Glad you liked this one though!
@@horsefighter_69 I totally loved it!

I love the smell olive wood gives off when your drilling/ cutting it
I love it too, it somehow smells sort of sweet, but unlike anything else I've ever smelled
That looks beautiful...a work of art...bet it sounds as good as it looks!
Thank you. It sounds a lot like a normal strat, with a little more low-end
Let me start by saying that is gorgeous. I love the look of the olive wood and the gloss finish. I think the only thing I might change would be to reorient the billet so the electronics are on the wood side, not visible through the epoxy. I'm just not a fan of seeing the wiring. That said, you've inspired me to try something similar. Now I'm keeping an eye peeled for similar pieces of wood.
That’s a lovely guitar. Very cool.
Amazing work!
Cheers
Absolutely beautiful!
Thank you
That came out wonderfully. I love the juxtaposition of the gnarly old wood with the modern clear resin.
Thank you. I appreciate the feedback
Very cool.
So cool in fact I'd almost like to try it.
Doubt my results would be as nice.
A vary dark blue epoxy, Strat, maple neck, no pickguard,
Hard tail. I never use the trem.
Thanks. I chose the hard tail too, I don't like trem systems, and it would ruin the look of this guitar
Nice wood crafting. Well done. Wonderful. Nice sharing
Thank you for watching
Looks amazing
I thought it had a picture of bob Marley on it when I fitst looked at it! I guess that’s your reflection? Great looking guitar!
Haha, I don't often get recognized as him.
@@horsefighter_69 Ik moet soms ook even 2 keer kijken hoor.
Great job! I started building kits a few years ago,it’s definitely a learning experience. Maybe one day I’ll build a body from scratch. Loved the video,I hope you make some more.
Thank you. I started in kits as well, but making bodies from scratch is way more fun, because you can make stuff that you will never find on any kit. My advice would be to start out with some MDF or plywood to try it out, that way you won't feel bad for having to throw out a nice piece if it fails.
Dylan Schuurmans thanks for the advice,I think I’ll try it
Master piece!
Very cool idea !
Beautiful!
Spectacular!
What a beauty! great job.
Thanks!
@@horsefighter_69 And smart idea to put pickups in wood.Epoxy is just fine for pots and pickups switch.
Nice work!
it ended up looking really nice ! i love it
Thanks
Crazy Skills!
Man, that's just downright cool
Thanks man
Awesome! Way to go!
Good work Dylan, You deserve more subscribers :)
You have a new friend in Warsaw - Poland
Thank you
Absolutely Gorgeous
Thank you
Waoooo.... Really nice...... Perfect Instrumente... 👍👍👍👍👍🎸🎸🎸🎸
Absolutely amazing guitar beautiful
Thanks, I appreciate it.
That's absolutely awesome , I have 11 guitars and not a one looks that cool
Thanks. You can always modify your current guitars to make em look different😉
My friend, AWESOME WORK!
Thanks man
@@horsefighter_69 welcome guitar brother!
That is gorgeous 😙👌🏻
So freaking beautiful
A real beauty!
That is a matter of opinion

Dylannn!!! I keep checking back to see if you posted more videos yet... I love seein your work!
I'm working on it, I have like 3 videos filmed but I'm struggling to find the time to edit. Thanks for checking in though, I appreciate it
@@horsefighter_69 I am so excited!!! I understand editing is a PAIN. Hope all is well!
@@jessporter8173 Thanks for the patience, I'm going to try and edit it this week and have it up next weekend
@@horsefighter_69 Mint!! Can’t wait! Take it easy Dylan : )
Uma verdadeira obra de arte !
Parabéns pelo desempenho !
Deus abençoe !
That is one hell of a lot of epoxy
Wow Amazing 😮
Awesome guitar....
Those who dislike this video is someone that know nothing about what is art
Thank you, I appreciate it. I guess some people just don't like epoxy.
@@horsefighter_69 excellent art.. Keep it up 👍👍👍
@@horsefighter_69 the truth of art is about the quality and not the quantity
beautiful guitar
Thank you
I think with parts and labour you would be looking at about £1,400 0r about 1,600 euro's....Amazing craftsman!
That sounds about right, thanks for the feedback
well done!!
a los genios ...se les dice genios ...porque lo que hacen ..lo hacen ..con amor ..bien por ti Dylan ..gracias genio...Dios te bendiga siempre...
Excellent
THIS IS FREAKING COOL AS HELL OH MY GOSH!! I don’t even play electric but hot damn I’d make one just to sign my freakin name on the neck. This is so freaking cool, great job! You went through this like it was your typical morning coffee, freakin professional dude, this is mint!
Thank you, haha. There's always some small hiccups along the way, but it's all about how you solve the problems you encounter while building it. Tbh, this was my first time working with casting epoxy, luckily it worked out.
Dylan Schuurmans you seemed to do great! Honestly not much different from the other hundreds of epoxy videos I’ve been watching lately... maybe just more sanding between the pours? Unless you just cut that bit out. But regardless, you did a great job hun! This video is definitely goin in the save folder haha
@@jessporter8173 Thank you, I appreciate the love, I did do some more sanding, but since it's kinda boring I cut a lot of it out. You really need to sand between layers of epoxy, or else it will really show
Super,super ,You are great!
Very nice!
Tu desempeño es muy bueno. Agradecemos sus explicaciones. abrazos...
my dream guitar
I think Leo Fender would've liked this. Really cool Dylan. Cheers.
Thank you.
Adorei o vídeo, meus parabéns 👏👏👏👏👏👏 🇧🇷
Amazing
very impressive !
Thank you
Amazing👍
So awesome. How did you learn how to do all of that? One of my dreams has been being able to build my own guitar. But i don't even know where to start.
There's a lot of people on UA-cam that can help you, that's how I learned. Here's some channels you should watch to get started:
-Brad Angove
-Guns and Guitars
-Crimson Custom Guitars
-Texas Toast Guitars
-Mills Custom Guitars
-Burls Art
-Modustrial Maker
-Phil McKnight
Very good job sir ..😍🤗
nice idea brow.. 👍👍
After watching this video, I am realizing that I need to do more with my guitar life!
Obra prima 👏👏👏
Man that looks sweet. I’m a little worried with that live edge that the bark wast completely removed, but it looks so good with it on there. Hope it doesn’t crack away and it lasts a long time!
Thank you, when i took it out of the mold I tried to break the edge to see how strong it was, but it really seems to be solid
Dylan Schuurmans
That’s awesome man.
Wow. Awesome ♥️💝
Hermoso. Falta la prueba de sonido. Me gustaría tener una así. Saludos desde Colombia...
Really nice build Dylan! only shame we didn't get to hear how it plays...
maybe a brief follow up 'sampling' video...? 😉
Thanks, I appreciate it! I don't think a sampling video would really show what this guitar can do, since UA-cam compressed the audio so much it would kind of defeat the purpose
Awesome
Woww....awesome
Stunning, but needs more coats of clear on the top to level out the finish. Nice job!
It would have taken a couple of precise drips of epoxy to even it out, but I kind of like the textured finish. Makes it feel more natural.
Semplicemente Meravigliosa!!!
Dankjewel.
Very very good 🤘
cool stuff, thanks very much for the video...what brand of the string-thru bridge did you use ? if you rebuild it again, maybe you will want to consider the epoxy on the upper side..? i imagine it will look even better then, if you allow me such thinking...
The string-thru bridge is unbranded, you can get them from a bunch of different places, at different price points
Excelente! Parabéns.
Fantastica
NICE. Really enjoyed this I d like to play it.
Where did you get the neck ?
It's from Asia, I'll try and find the link, they're pretty inexpensive but often need some fret crowning.
G-sus, what a beauty!
Very nice
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I really liked the frosted look of the epoxy before buffing. It has that glass feeling to it and made the guitar really stand out. Anyway, awesome work.
I really liked that too, kind of regret it, I'm actually thinking of doing something similar again but with a frosted look.
Amazing my friend 👍
from Indonesia 🙏
I like these kind of videos. a great idea and a beautiful looking guitar. how much is the weight? did you make the plexyglas pattern yourself? great job.
Thank you.Weight is not really a problem, but I'm used to playing heavier guitars anyways. The template is one I bought online. If you're looking for something similar, buy one or get a dfx file from electricherald.com, and get someone with a CNC to cut it out for you.
Great Build Dylan! One suggestion for your future builds. Never use any epoxy or clear coat in the neck joint or on the neck itself where it joins to the body, and also never use metal inserts on the neck, it should seat together only wood to wood in order to give you that complete neck through body tone. Fender makes great necks screws, available at a very reasonable price on Amazon, and can be used on all types of guitar build. Just Good advice, and again, a great build...!
I've used those Fender style screws before, but in my experience they tend to snap a lot. The metal inserts combined with the M6 bolts makes a very strong bond. Maybe I'm just buying the wrong screws, because the metal they're made from is always really low quality
@@horsefighter_69Drill pilot holes and use a good ratcheting hand screwdriver, instead of a drill.
@@TarynnElizabeth619 Even with a screwdriver they seem to snap or get stripped
Kerreennn👍
Que trabalho espetacular
