Thanks for the review. I just received mine. Really like it. I had a S30R Baton III which is an older light from OLight. That one has been running for years. No issues. They make king lasting lights. Take care.
Great review. For me, however, this light was a disappointment. I was buying it for EDC and for that use the beam profile is suboptimal - very tight hotspot with little spill - this is especially pronounced on Moonlight / Low / Medium. It looks to me like this light was designed to be a small tactical / S&R light, where you mostly run in in High / Turbo. Also hate the yellow-green tint on the light. I don't mind Cold White lights, but c'mon, give me CLEAN white! Me preference is to Neutral White when possible. As an alternative I can recommend Baton 3 Pro NW - much nicer colors, bigger, more diffuse, hotspot, and more spill. Does mot throw as far, but, despite specs, actually looks brighter overall at all modes (except moonlight) because of the better spill. And much nicer to use upclose. The tail button has poor tactile feel - it's hard to hit exactly that half-click on electronic button. Physical buttons have a better feel in that regard.
I absolutely agree with your last point: very poor tactile feel. The very reason why I returned several Olights. However, first generation models were responsive. Better feel. I've provided so much feedback to Olight. Full-press and half-press are so so very close. Very frustrating. How come very few tubers and people comment on this pathetic performance issue?!#@
Part-II: The built quality, body material/alloy, warranty and magnetic charging I like very much. What flashlight according to you, has the best tactile tail switch? Thanks in advance. 🙂
@@karanbantawa6236 I'm not much into tail switch lights, to be honest. I have not found an ideal one yet. FW3a - too easy to activate, Sofirn SP31 v2, Wurkkos FC12 - have same switch, a bit too stiff for my liking. But plenty of travel, though, unlike Olight.
@@karanbantawa6236 BTW, I did the emitter swap on my Warrior Mini 2 with SST40 5000K from another light - now the light quality is pretty much perfect - no ugly tints.
