It was such a pleasure sharing our time with you!
Pilobolus y’all are amazing!
you’re an amazing company! bravo!
That growing and shrinking thing was fucken cool
This is so cool! What light do you use? I'm thinking about doing this with a small class of mine.
Love the art you create! Am wanting to recreate some of the same drama and vibe in a play. What is the light that you use to make it happen? Just looking to see what manufacturer and model of light you use?
OMG THE PART WHERE THE GIRL SHRUNK AND BECAME A PUPPEY WAS SO AMAZING JESUS. SO BEAUTIFUL
He must be the Dom and she's the SUB. J/k
Ed....ward....
I was confused at first I thought I was seeing a baby elephant

'Ruuudd-eh!'
HAHA! Well, I do it to Renee all the time too. We always finish each others sentences!
yeah he was like 👁👄👁 *w h a t*

I keep replaying that dog was so REAL even the movements at 4:14
that's my aunt! she actually taught me how to do that!!
My fav parts is the dramatic roll aways after shadow is finished
“And a corona is something that sprays outward”
You’re about 2 years too early
😆 covid and endgame reference in the same sentence

Its also a Mexican drink
Lmao
Yyyep
4:22 that was mind blowing , movement looked so realistic
There are some weird flexes here, but that's okay.
How he looks at her when she’s speaking
weird lol
2:11
That got me laughing 😂😂
ehhh I even felt awkward and i wasn't even there..
It's because of the passion of the art
Pilobolus has a really long history of... how do I say this... too many cooks in the kitchen. So when you have a lot of very *cough* vocal *cough* people who are very passionate about what they do, there's a lot of tension.
Episode 1: whoa, former chief of disguises of the CIA creating completely new identities for agents, awesome.
Episode 2: wee woo, we make shadows.
My friend, civilizations without art tend to be worthless.
@@onedaynoreason2572 not really art though. Just pretentious hipsters who like grinding on each other

Gate keeping nerds wth
Dude, I totally stopped watching that video, then I saw your comment. That was cool lol
how is this gatekeeping lol ??
my late cousin becky jung was a dancer in pilobolus. regrettably she passed away before I could get to know her super well, but I do remember her very vividly. I’m not quite sure why but this video made me feel very connected to her and this truly touched me. thank you tremendously for recognizing this incredible group of dancers. 💞
I miss Becky so much!!!!!
The challenges part was so cool! You could do a mini-series of just those for sure.
Lovely. You can feel that they love what they do.
You know being in literal underwear all the time they do more than just dance
@@Glorious_Kim_Jong_Un
If thats the case, im signing up.
That one guy at the end that made a b, then was like oh shiet and switched it to a d
I thought she meant something completely different when she said “we have Coronas just prior to creating”🍻
And today, to have Corona means something even more completely different!
sketchur lmaooo
virus
cheyenne or CORONA VIRUS 🦠 !!!
Lmao how times have changed
You can get paid to make shadows!? That's impressive
WARNING! I have 2 very attractive girlfriends and I am the greatest UA-camr ever and YOUR savior. Good bye dear harhsil

I sometimes wonder, how come people don't comment on these talented people , they deserve a lot of those along with the views and likes....true art
I used to hate dance for a reason I really don't know, but my perception and opinion of dance has completely changed after watching this!
These people are the best!
Lots noticed the way he looks at her, she also looks at him. They pay attention to each other.
Happy to see this group has lasted & grown ! I saw them perform in Mexico City, summer of 1977. Back then they used Balance to create wonderful images & movement. Cheers !
Those shadow-dancers are just badass.
matt kent's parents missed the opportunity to call their child clark kent
"Limitations are awesome for creativity" ❤
The form of creativity seems like deconstructing the soul of an object and perform elegantly and dynamically.
Did she just say “corona”...
Beautiful dance!!!
yup, look it up dumbo
I saw their show “Shadow Land” in NYC 2 years ago and it was amazing, I would definitely recommend it
5:08, “the whole thing can come cracking”
its really hard envisioning the stormtroopers head when i know its just someone butt
Let’s acknowledge the delightful nerd correctly identified the beholder.
Then dig the beholder the dancers built.
Then dig the use of the Inception note that symbolizes a world within a world.
Challenge 2 was a biblical accurate angle lmao
Absolutely brilliant I am so grateful to have lived as a human and appreciate our new ideas
1:16
He made a pig sound.
EDIT: Never mind it was the music in the background sorry lol the beat was perfectly timed when he took breath.
lol
It would be fun to see the story of Jason and the golden fleece or the labors of Hercules done as a shadow dance.
I love the skeppy horn between each challenge
This stuff is so freaking cool. First saw this style of dance in an Academy of Villains video a couple years back and it blew my damn mind. Very neat to get a peek behind the curtain!
They seem like such a fun group of people
The Corona comment baffled me haha :D The timing is impecable
this is the coolest stuff i've seen so far on youtube. blows my mind
Really?
4:17 watching this high made me higher.
This vid should have waaay more views
This is so good! Thanks Wired. Thanks Pilobolus!
Thanks for Greg Tito for sharing this on the D&D News Twitch segment! Very cool :)
I have seen them perform long time ago and want to see them again. I LOVE pilobolus
Ahhh, I love them OMG. They can to our dance studio at EKA back in 1999.
0:57 -- It's dark in here!
I don't know about you guys, but this tells me that some things don't really need to exist in order too amaze and fascinate.
9:38 The tail reminds me of the Ace Ventura rhino birth scene.
I Never knew shadows were so cool
a fellow D&D nerd among them
this channel is so underrated
Can you recommend me what type of lights do you use? Thank you.
The actual shadow portion of the "presentation" was pretty cool. I could do without the lengthy introduction though.
Look up "El Gamma Penumbra" which won Asia's Got Talent 2015. You're welcome.
Anyone else think that they need to go into AGT next year?
This is mind blowing artistic talent
was expecting more cia stuff.
Extraordinary artists!
I swear they just keep saying that if u get closer to the light you get bigger
The founding members were Robby Barnett, Alison Becker Chase, Martha Clarke, Lee Harris, Moses Pendleton, Michael Tracy, and Jonathan Wolken. Allison remained until 2006 as artistic director and her and the other founding members choreographed new works collectively. Why is Renee Jaworski rewriting history at the expense of the women who Pilobolus owes its origins to as well as the first 35 years of its existence ?
Very theatrical and quite moving!
This is so freaking cool
These people are real genius.
Wow. Truly incredible) I’d love to see this show
Props to them.
Awesome creativity and fun, they share much laughter and joy. Watching them is a delight. This one made me subscribe.
Amazing and a wonder🌟 for the eyes and thoughts. Loved it❤ Thank you 😊
"Shadow possession complete"
Guys good work you give me a lot of info thanks
coolest things I've seen all day
Dude was on something
Hope he gets better
you can just imagine Shakespeare and Leonardo messing around like this
7:45
oh hello
Wow. It’s amazing. You guys are amazing.
@10:56 - the dancer at thefar left must have been disoriented because they are clearly making a "b" rather than a "d"!
Which light have you used for the shadow to fall properly???
This is my favorite video now. It’s amazing
My grandma used to say don't play with shadows
The Star Wars request was stupid because its identifying factor is not the silhouette
I love shadows. I have a shadow tattoo. The hands on the tattoo make two rough claws but the shadow is of the a thick detailed dinosaur skull like the Jurassic Park logo. I loved seeing their dino shadow!
They are great!!
What is a good light source for this type of theater? Im guessing a projector. If so what type?
1:30 "You couldn't tell where one body started and the other one started" ???
This is so cool! Genius!!!

El gamma penumbra looks like this. Might even be better I think it was somewhere in Asia.
