sorry to be so offtopic but does anyone know a way to log back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the login password. I love any tips you can offer me
This lighting breakdown is exactly what I'm looking for... so many videos telling you to bounce light here, diffuse there and fill whatever else but no one actually breaking it down in specific examples and showing you why it is done one way and the problem solving that would go about if the circumstances were different... A+ and I look forward to watching more of your content #Subscribed
Your channel is the most consistently educational and no-fuss guide to cinematography I've ever seen. Thank you so much for providing this value, you're the best.
I understand that shot of Cindy Crawford was ridiculously expensive to pull off but by God is it worth it. Could easily be a poster, it looks drawn by hand.
Love these videos. Just a note on that final shot - looking at the shadow under her chin, it looks like the bounce must be up high - several metres in the air.
I noticed behind camera light, probably an HMI, 4k? Filling shadows, probably along with an overhead bounce. You can see the highlight in her eyes and the shadow on her shirt behind her hand. Kind of a photography thing, fill your shadows with a light behind camera.
you are amazing will be utilising some of these techniques on wedensday, for an outdoor shoot (more of a "guerilla style" low budget thing, but i'm gonna make it happen) don't stop doing this stuff, PLEASE
Mate these break downs are awesome. So much value from each one without the fuss and some absolutely golden humour. Had a bit of a chuckle at the project name as well 😅
It's hard to tell if he's joking but it's still hilarious every podcast. Remember when he said the big bang definitely didn't happen? The only thing we can say he knows for sure is The Framework. Everything else is auxiliary.
I mean breaking down defense against Kylie was a great place to focus to be honest. If he tried to actually guard him he probably WOULD have gone on the fake haha 😆
I've been watching your videos for a while and u keep mentioning "the framework" I have no idea what this is, I kept searching all your videos for an answer but nothing, so if you talked about this framework thing before could u tell me?
So I guess the "I am not sure who this woman is" was a subtle joke, because later you called her "Cindy". Which was my guess ( Cindy Crawford ). Some of the rest of that commercial would be great to see the breakdown as well.
hey , cool stuff as always 👍🏽👊🏽. I am not sure how yo respond to people requesting videos... so no need to take this in a wrong way., Would be cool if you made a video about diffusers, flags, muslin, half grids, cine foil , ect... Just a suggestion..
I was told that cinematographers use one fixed aperture for an entire movie. If it's true then a rule to follow would be to adjust light intensity instead? I appreciate your advice.
You know you're passionate about lighting when you recognize the grip equipment out of frame before you recognize Cindy Crawford in the ad.
jajaja! yes man!!
hahahaha

I can't adequately express just how valuable your content is. This is how it's done. Sheesh, so good!!
Well said!
Honestly with Covid times, I am High Key all day. No chances on dark contrast stylistic right now. Gotta pay the rent
I feel you...

I love your breakdowns but I adore those jokes you just trow in the space and go away. Wonderful content.
there's nothing better than new episode after a hard working editing MF day.

You've got some of the best Cinematography info on UA-cam. Seriously I've learned so much from your breakdowns. Always great stuff.

You were right about that defense. My man pretty much dived on the ground.
Okay, Cindy Crowford Bro! and i am Congolese living in South Africa.Very insightful video still.
you are amazing

Is there any way to keep all this bounce and diffusion in place without spelding a small fortune on c stands and grip arms? Any suggestions?

yep, good one, nothing surprising here:) keep going mate, we need it!:)
Damn, so much value in these videos.
Holy f*** this looks incredible
Would using a mirror board through diffusion be better than white bounce for this situation?
4:53 so he knows who Cindy is, right? Or is she just some Cindy to him that the narrator referred to? 😂
Amazing content!

Where can we see the full video?
Great Breakdown! Lots of light bouncing off places we can't see.
What camera do you use to film your UA-cam videos?
Awesome, thank you!
Great Video...Thank You
I know we are all grown ups here but how he made the "talent" circle at 4:10 two times around her breast just caught me off guard hahaha

Very good!
You can see the bounce fill reflected in the car window..

Ha! Nice troll.. I really was thinking dude I’m old. Way to light up the comment section LOL
thanks :)
This is the best fucking content on this fucking platform. fuck.
Did anyone else notice the huge white board in the car window reflection? I think sun is bounced from the camera right.
I think what you are referring to is just the driver's side window.
@@tallguytrav yea, that could be. not 100% sure though.
@@dathofilms you can take a better look at 2:41 when she gets out of the car
yup. its more sandwiched than talked about in this video
❤❤
