  • Hey guys if any of you own a 2007 to 2013 Chevy or GMC this video will probably help you. The buttons on the interior of these cars are notorious for flaking. I know you can find stickers on ebay/amazon to fix this but in my opinion, they just aren't up to the task - especially at night when the backlight shines through the sticker. If you want the fix it right you can get a refurbished unit from Summit racing or the like and swap it for your old one.

Thanks for the info. Need to replace mine too (2010 Burb). I also had cracked dash when I bought it but dealer replaced it, I guess it’s a regular occurrence...what the heck is with GMC designers?

Glad I could help. I also had a cracked dash (happened after I owned it about 4 years) ended up replacing it after buying a new dash from the dealer. ua-cam.com/video/n4wre5Wf88Y/v-deo.html

Maybe im lucky but i didnt have to take off the bottom panels to take the face plate off. they arent clipped to the other panels as far as i know.

If I recall it's not 100 percent necessary to remove the bottom panels but it makes removing the plastic surround bezel (at the bottom) way easier. For me the bottom panels weren't that difficult to take out having just done it the prior week to swap the dash pad so I did it again on the AC unit.

The OEM part number is 25869948. There is currently a unit on JEGs part number 010-65501921NOA that replaces it.

That would vary depending on the specific part number for your vehicle. I believe I spent about 180 for mine

It's aftermarket. The oem screens at the time (6 years ago) from the ltz models were close to 2 grand. This one i got for $800 and is called the carshow by Rosen. Not sure if it's still available but here's a link. www.amazon.com/CarShow-CS-GM1210-Factory-Look-Navigation-System/dp/B00DRMSKUU

If you’re referring to the radio I can’t recall. I bought the truck in 2013 and the radio in 2014. I doubt the unit as I bought it is still available.
