I agree entirely, but there are a couple of reasons why we can't. One is availability of the items the other can be price. For example, King's winches are anywhere between $300 and $500 and yet, to buy a comparable Aussie winch costs up to 5 times this price. Most people will wear a higher price but not that much higher.

I believe that a large proportion of that Chinese gear is made in prisons - hardly any incentive to do good work or quality control.
