- Meteor 350 is a brilliant motorcycle and has been selling in huge numbers, so it was absolutely necessary to pitch it against the segment leader Honda CB 350 RS.
We have already compared to the CB 350 hness and now it was time for it to be compared to the much sportier and completely redesigned newly launched Honda CB 350 RS.
Meteor 350 is completely new from the ground up, even in terms of the design of the engine and performance everything remains different compared to any other Royal Enfield sold in the market.
The Meteor 350 has a very smooth and refined engine and does not vibrate even at Higher RPMs now when you compare it to the CB 350 hness or the RS which is known for its refinement it just falls a little bit short.
Royal Enfield has come a long way in terms of refinement and quality. When I talk about meteor 350 versus CB350 it is more about the design, CB 350 is a city motorcycle and is very practical to ride it in the city as it feels very light and nimble to manoeuvre in the city while the Meteor 350 is designed for touring and offers relaxed cruising abilities.
The amount of colours on the Meteor 350 is also commendable as it comes with a host of colour option and customisation options to make it unique so this is one of the biggest plus points on the motorcycle. As this one is a long-stroke 350cc is the single-cylinder engine the focus is not on top speed or drag race the focus is on pulling power or torque as we call it and meteor 350 offers plenty of it.
The Meteor 350 bs6 model has a long waiting period and that is one of the biggest issues with the motorcycle that is the reason customers are moving to C B 350 as the bike is available immediately for delivery the average or mileage on meteor 350 is also very good as its a long stroke motor.
The backrest on the Meteor 350 is very useful as it is very comfortable for the pillion and it is also possible for you to change the design by going for an aftermarket fitment backrest is not available for the CB 350 RS and this is a big issue we can, however, make the design in the aftermarket as anything is possible.
The CB 350 has raspy and bassy exhaust note which will grab the attention of on goers but the same cannot be said about meteor 350 as this one has a meek and refined exhaust note but Dolphin exhaust is something which is very popular among Royal Enfield and that is something that can be installed and is already available for the Meteor 350.
So let me review both the motorcycle the Royal Enfield meteor 350 and CB 350 RS and compare them both and let you know which is the best motorcycle to buy in the sub 350 cc segment.

you missed the honda selectable torque control and the comparatively big tyres on CB350RS. that adds upto the performance and tractability. also as an owner of CB350RS, I have a problem with the mudguards. they're really small for the big tyres my bike has got. I understand that your review is completely unbiased and I appreciate that.✌
Right I ride cb350rs and I challenge anyone once he ride the cb350rs other bikes specifically any Royal Enfield is no match. As I have ride Royal Enfield comparatively for Long time.

Cb350 rs is very comfortable on loose gravel and irregular roads. Tyres don't skid due to the better engineering. Where as meteor cannot handle above mentioned terrain that great

No mention of traction control anywhere. And you're giving 2 points extra to RE for the damn windscreen? We can get the windscreen on RS but no traction control on RE.
No mention of the superior LED lights you get in RS, while the RE has the filament bulb.
So if you had complete knowledge you'd have selected RS.
Hi sorry i missed the traction control part.. Sometimes i forget to mention few points and i did not cut any points from rs for windshield. And if you would watch the video till the end you would see that I appreciated rs for being a much better bike mechanically .. Do check my other comparision videos.. Good day to you ❤️

Resale value score not justifying. Honda gets same resale value as RE. But u gave 90 vs 80. Which is not acceptable.

Very good comprehensive video. Some friends advised me that cost of service and spare parts in Honda bikes is exorbitant. Also tell me whether installation of additional lights to improve road visibility is legal.

I was going to purchase meteor but when I ride of CB 350 RS.. it was superb.. engine is dam awesome, the pickup the smoothness no vibration.. just an awesome bike
Which one did you buy...? Because I am having the same confusion between the two. The deciding factor for me is the after sale service. I heard that the Honda CB 350 service is much expensive than RE.
You should go for Honda for 2 reasons
1. Excellent Engine Smoothness
2. Less waiting period

I have both bikes believe me meteor is nothing in front of cbrs 350, only reasons to buy meteor is pillion seat comfort, looks and brand nothing else , I always take cbrs for ride but hate to go with meteor because difficult to handle in traffic you will have pain in your legs and hands and also cbrs has lot of features and gear changing feels like wow in it that clutch is so light that you feel euphoria when you change a gear in it

Sorry to say but review your own videos which can be more crisp, your 20 mins videos contain 40% content and 60% is based on your odd driving/repetition of same facts.
Also RE is definitely improving on engine but can't reach near HONDA, may be in next 2-3 years it will go past but not in near time.
And please be fair in assessment, new buyers shouldn't go for RE bikes because of weight and engine power. Any new machine takes time to understand, so does a bike. So you skewed here just like your Ronin video.
Bullshit, why buy a long stroke at all if u want a fast refined bike. Get an RE and enjoy the chill of a lovely bassy thump and any gear riding in city. Long stroke is all about low speed, not refinement. No wonder Honda in terms of cars and bikes is selling very little. U can keep ur refinement say the people. Activa is probably the only thing keeping Honda alive..
METEOR is comparatively more difficult to manoeuvre in the city's day to day traffic. Footrest itna forward-set hai ki koi bhi tired ho jayega. Otherwise sab badhiya hai.
RS looks ke maamle main kaafi aage hai.
Engine & reliability bhi Honda ke zyada better hain.

I don't think in meteor the footpegs are much forward set. I can see the footpegs are set almost 95° giving a right-angled appearance when we ride the bike.
service is the problem for highness as it can only be serviced in bigwing showroom which is very less and far away

CB350 RS all the way. Nothing comes around it. RE fan boys don’t get the difference between the engine and the mechanics that Honda delivers. CB is a completely different ride unlike anything that indian market has seen in this Cruiser/350 cc market.

It is light..
Handling is nimble..
1st gear is very smooth and tall as every other gears.. and stress free..you can ride it around 20/25kmph smoothly on heavy traffics
Riding posture is upright..and is pretty comfortable compared to RE
Clutch lever feels pretty light 💯
Suspension feels stiff at beginning ..With proper kms you will get used to it..
Braking is superb on both front and rear..

Both are good. But when you ride meteor will be slightly looking smaller. But that isn't much of an issue.
I think you'll look great on Meteor. Rs is also a good choice to have more fun riding. Meteor has a more classy feel to it.

Hello Snehasis sir, Village road rs is better because on bad roads you wont have much movement on the seat on meteor and you cant stand on footpeg.. My 100% drive is in city mostly in traffic. I done do touring nor go out of city. I love CB 350 RS Red colour. Should i go ahead with this. or do you suggest some other bike. Should i wait for Classic next gen and then take my decision.

go for CB350RS. has the best of all. classic doesn't even come close to it. trust me. I've seen one of my friends kind of regret buying classic 350 after riding my RS.
