What you do Mandee is leave the plastic on them until you have to take them off you need to leave the plastic on it until they put the letters and numbers and stuff on them that way they don’t get scratched

Great heat race Mike. Sounded like everytime after you set car in corner and got on it when everyone else started going forward your car sounded like it was spinning and then you would catch them in the corner. High or low. Tires? You are a smooth driver. It will come.. Great job as usual Mandee. Thank you both.

Mandee when you record super modified you never think in front of the frame the rack and pinion and then you have side bars and then you also have socks well that’s what happened on June 11 we got caught up in someone else’s mess and the front of the frame was really tweeted. But he cut it so he can fix it we’re just waiting on the shocks hopefully within the next three weeks will be back racing hopefully but when you’re doing it doing that yourself 3000. Yeah that’s very expensive if you’re just doing that by yourself and putting pieces parts back together Pieces parts back together but sometimes thank you don’t put back together you have to take baby steps to make things better we’ve only had a two race season so far because of that crash and he sat out for a whole two months now because of the crash
Mike, I watched you set fast time and win the heat at Middletown, start 3rd in the feature and back up. Now Albany, same thing fast in hot laps win the heat and back up in the feature. Your car apparently is only working when the track is tacky and has bite. You have got to get your chassis more balanced, your riding on 2-wheels most of the time. Your motor seems very good, it would have to be to set fast time at Middletown, your a better than average driver, so that leaves your chassis program that needs work. Get the car more stable, more forward bite, which would make it more driveable to your style of driving.
I had a night like that, found out later they had watered some of the track....

My dear God Mandy , your a trooper . You aren't going to a car show ,going for best of show , a scratch or two won't slow the hot wheels car down, lol . & for all in the cheap seat bleachers folks , great job , showing them crazy 💰cost💰 of modified racing 🏁 or any racing in 2022.

Adjustment to the track
Hardness is tricky
What most forget is fuel burn off along with tire wear..
So you need to back out of what felt good and allow the car to be there in the end.
Getting better in the long run..
Can't wait to get Billy the kids book having him run all year in the 24s was special can't believe he never won regular show in it he mastered the outside and was a joy to watch
Gotta do some recon work see what other cars are driving on keep it rolling
10 more heat wins like that and the new panels are paid for.
Sounds like to me you gotta check the gears if the gears are causing problems when you might need to make a taller gear or shorter gear it sounds like to me if you’re going through that then you’re gonna have to change your gears if you’re going through up and down and they’re not it might be the gears I’m gonna say that because a lot of times these guys up here that race but sometimes change the gears and they’re actually make you go either go faster go slower but you don’t want to go super fast because then you’ll be going into the wall and it wasn’t stuck throttle so check those gears and if you got a gear that has teeth missing on it or something like that I would check that part just to make it easier you know I know that you go and check everything maybe it’s a good time to start checking your transmission just in case cause I’m pretty sure if you break a lot of parts it does get costly very costly but sometimes new things do happen and well if you’re changing I sent a quick quicker and changing something like that you go from fast and then you start and you start going to the backI’m thinking the transmission might be going just a just a hard way to think
me love harbor freight...thats the difference between now and then,, the side pannels were always just a piece of sheet metal. most was fabed by the driver/team but now its all produced by a company and all fits like a puzzle....bumpers rub rails all were made in the garage .i believe theres a huge difference between how the clay is when the sun is out and the humidity level is lower then when the sun gos down .
Good heat race but the track must've changed or the tire choice was wrong and they weren't working like you hoped so keep digging and you'll hit it next week will be better
When you mention how much things cost in racing it reminds me of how niev i was when i moved my son up to mods (imca style)from 4 cyl when he was in high school. boy I had all the cost figured out i was gonna getter on the track for about 7500$ yeah right about 12000$ later i got to the track then truck was under size so had get big truck bought first set of new tires which killed me but nonetheless ran over something just scuffing them in lost two with out racing ,first heat race made it a total of half a turn took right front off 1000$ Thats when i was like what the F##k am i doing!!! But good news it's been 12 years now and still at it!lolSo been there it hurts and you move on huh!! and on a side note i've never complimented you on how good you are at making your vlogs, after watching various racing vlogs you start to appreciate well made ones! cudoz! GOOD LUCK to Mike and Billy ,go get a big one here soon maybe you could buy one new shock!!lol

Question: Why not cut and bend the panels yourself? You could get a decent sheet metal brake for what a body costs. It seems like teams all pay for their own bodies.
Time and personnel are always limiting factors.
What would the cost of sheet metal be if you weren't buying in bulk be though?

That is one thing about Dirt Track Racing. Sometimes the track as its say in who wins as it changes. Me I blame it on Ali not being there. LOL

Seems to be an issue with the long run, consider fitness, mental and physical.
It's nice to have a sharp clean race car but have been a part of hammering panels out on the ground putting whole sides on with rivets duct tape and mechanics wire and having the driver go out and kick their asses for them pretty doesn't mean fast it's nice but I have seen body panels look like a sack of potatoes and take home the money 🤑🤑🤑🤑

When it's your actual job kinda don't need it that way right some of us race for a hobby and spend 50k a year with out our partners we can't do it

it seem to me that # 27 ( Pitts ) was holding u up ,he was everywhere u wanted to be ?? Sweet heat race ,,,Like ur father-inlaw ,, Biily the Kid ..use the top side to get around them ,,,
Mike just really needs a good set up person he is a really great driver but he just seems like he aint good at making set up changes

@@dirttrackuntold does he not talk to your daddy and brother doesn't he run the same chassis and yes I know he probably like to feel the car different then them but I'm sure they can help him some and I did not mean that comment in a bad way but Mike seems to second guess himself alot on setups and I would really like to see him beatin the shit out of the 44 and the 9 car I know he is good enough as a driver but the set up just seems to fade away to often
Don't get down about a little slump keep digging and look around at what's beating you I know you have heard racing is a monkey see monkey do sport you gotta know what is beating you keep your head up you ain't done winning 👍
