The Escher String Quartet performs Franz Schubert’s String Quartet in D minor, D. 810, “Death and the Maiden.” This performance took place on Parlance Chamber Concerts at West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood, New Jersey, on March 6, 2016.

these are my dream quartet. I was lucky enough to hear them in Bath some years ago. The drama in the first movement is intoxicating. I am performing this next week, so it is v inspiring.Thankyou.Love Brook's playing forever.

Fantastic interpretation!!!!
I like this performance. It is not so full of testosterone as some of the others. The playing is sweet and you can hear each instrument making its own statement. There is one section where there are four distinct individuals.
