@BiologySimplifiedTamil ::: Clause 17.I d) of prospectus reads “ Not Choice Locking any college in a Category will lead to OPT OUT of colleges in that particular category in Round 2 of counselling” in bold letters. It should mean that suppose if we choice-lock one category B college in Round 1 , we can choice-lock any one , many or all Category B colleges in Round 2.
In other words , it is required to choice-lock any one college in any one category in round 1 to make the option of choice locking available in all colleges in that category in round 2.
Sir does that mean that even if I choose atleast one college in self financing in 1st round do I get to choose other colleges in that category?

Sir, according to the point number 'd' if a candidate misses even ONE college in any category in round 1, he/she will not be allowed to choose ANY college from that category.

No, he actually says that if in a particular category, say one fills only a few colleges (filling only 30 GMC), only the 30 colleges will be shown in Round 2 also for choice filling. The rest of the 6 colleges will not be shown.

@@76531it reads about choice locking ANY college and not about choice locking ANY ONE college in a particular category. So there is a lot of difference. Any means that one has left all the colleges in a particular category due to which the whole category of colleges gets opted out. But if any one college or a few colleges are opted out, one still has a choice to fill the rest of the colleges they had previously chosen in that category.

If i am allotted in a college in first round eg.trichy, but i want another college eg. Coimbatore, so i participate in round 2 for getting coimbatore. But if i am allotted any other college than coimbatore, can i still retain my trichy seat allotted to me in 1st round?

First you have to join your allotted college in 1st round(Trichy). If you want Upgradation in 2nd round (Coimbatore) you have to fill choice only coimbatore. If it is allotted you can join or you can retain 1st round seat.
