- Ndemic's founder - James Vaughan, creator of both Plague Inc and Rebel Inc - challenged me to a friendly match in Rebel Inc's upcoming multiplayer mode! In multiplayer, you try to stabilize your own region while simultaneously destabilizing your opponent by controlling the insurgents!

We did play a rematch afterwards. I got absolutely destroyed. Note to self: the development director is NOT a top-tier pick in multiplayer when the enemy can drop a tunnel and insurgents right on your development team!

woah this is awesome, I would have never known Pravus went so far ahead that the devs acknowledge them.
I mean he's the most know youtuber who indulges in Plague Inc and alike Content. I personally Came across his Channel 3 Years ago when he was doing Plague Inc: custom Scenarios.
This would be a worthy battle if Pravus actually understood some of the mechanics of the game like hammers and NOT LEAVING YOUR COALITION SOLDIERS IN TOWNS

As a relatively new player i found out hostile population kept increasing when i kept coalition in urban zones so i try to keep them out as much as i can

my favourite part was when he had encircled the insurgents... then proceeded to break the encirclement by moving one of his soldiers away
The idea of this game having a VS mode got my attention, that sounds pretty cool and unusual
When I expected a Rebel Inc Vs video, I didn't expect this legendary battle!

That was surprisingly close. I have a feeling that if James had gone for a slightly stronger commander, like maybe the banker or possibly the development director, then he probably would have won, but pravus did play extremely well. All those mega brutal strategy guides and campaigns have certainly given him a great grasp of the game.

seeing that this business of counter-sponsorship has been done in the past, this could make sense

Wow, this was a really amazing concept, and it looks like it would be a lot of fun to play! I think that having it on open voice comms would make the games more fun and more friendly - I look forward to the thought of seeing more of these!

With the addition of the multiplayer, I am not certain I am simply satisfied with watching this content on UA-cam. I will likely purchase this game for myself! Thanks for showing this off!

Would be pretty cool if not for the fact you're looking at each others hand the whole time. Takes any strategy or element of surprise out of the game since you basically know all the choices you're opponent is making.
The strategy is countering what your opponent has.
So glad to see this vid come out not just to see good devs commune with the community, but to actually excplain what the hell is going on in MP. i've seena few vids and still think "how does that work?"
would be interested to see how does Co-op work aswell, somewhat like campaiogn where the more you stabilise your own region, the better assistance your bud has?
How exciting to see this! I was planning to make a self-made board game version of Rebel Inc. for private use where one player is trying to stabilize the region while the other is leading the insurgents. Rules haven’t been fully shaped out yet and seeing an official version where one can directly lead the insurgency is great! :)
Btw, was someone else sort of triggered because Pravus had lots of drone flights ready but didn’t purchase the Combat Sensors ability?

@@cottoneyejoe8285simple: most of the map starts under insurgent control, but your reputation is increased to balance the ticking reputation loss from insurgents controlling a lot of zones.
@@cottoneyejoe8285 it's finished. As my first scenario it's not very detailed, but I added a bit of flavor to "martial law" so it's slightly more interresting.
When it arrives on mobile I want to do a Salvadoran civil war one. It would be cool to descent from the mountains and forests as the rebels and capture the cities and play proto-state until you capture the whole nation
definitely my favorite part about this mode is that we can see what the other is doing

It would be cool if there was like a custom campaign or whatever like a scenario where you are the insurgents and you take care of the insurgents while trying to invade in capture the enemies region and then soon surround them and then take the HQ

I suppose all of the maps function without the extra mechanics, to make it simpler for both sides.
