Police in the UK would probably move a big group of people on (dispersing them) if they were to sing in a public place. The charge would be "disturbance of the peace" if they don't obey the order.
In many ways, China has far more freedom than the West. The Chinese people are happy people, living a good and enjoyable life. In the UK, many old people are poor, sick and lonely. No one looks after them. The lucky ones are those who are well off, or have relatives living nearby. But generally, there are not many outdoor activities that they can participate, especially activities that are free of charge. I have watched many UA-cam videos about China and compare life in China with that in the West. Arguably, the quality of life in China is better. Some Western friends of mine do not like socialist or communist countries. But they have never visited them to form an unbiased view. All they hear and see in their media about China is fake news, or with a negative slant on the reporting.

Thanks for your comprehensive comment. I understand your friends may say that, but is it possible the UK may be more communist than China? remember its only the government (who cant be trusted) are the ones whom tell us the UK is democratic. Just a thought.

despite China is a one-party ruling country, unlike those so-called democratic countries who have more than 1 parties, China is never lack of people of overturning tyrannies, you can know it from the Chinese history, one dynasty after another; CPC knows people will kick them out if they don't do their job properly, of course, China is not a perfect country, no such thing will exist at all; those democratic countries, if they are lucky enough, they can elect a good one, but 99% are elect one bad from 2 or more bads, they always keep their hope to next election

A lots of western people are strong willed. Those people like to see the world being changed in their ways. Just like a lot of Karens doing nowadays. The political freedom is their basic needs or rights. This is the root cause of the democracy. It has long history that could tracing back to about 2400 years in the ancient Greek philosophies. Chinese culture is different. Chinese believes that the first things one needs to do if he wants to change the world, it to change himself. If you can't even change yourself, how could you change the world. I think this is the biggest different between Western and China.
