I love how they had her in a cameo role in the first film, and then made her the main villain in the second.
The main villian of Madagascar 2 is makunga
It is because the Audience loved her.
And in Madagascar 3 they go against her daughter. The nana dynasty is the antagonistic force of the trilogy.
Makunga is actually the main villain because I searched it up and it shows the main villain is Makunga but if they made her the main villain instead it would’ve been cooler and also Nana is the secondary antagonist
On the 2nd she is like an anti villain (only for Alex is a villain), the true is Makunga and at the end she defeat him (and help Alex and Zuba with that).
On order:
Madagascar 1: Alex's madness before recovering, but the true villain were the Foosa.
Madagascar 2: Nana anti villain and Makunga the true. At first she just taught the boys how to defend themselves in the jungle and they wanted to eat Alex and his father just out of hunger (who wouldn't in those conditions?)
Madagascar 3: Dubois, probably the most ruthless villain in the trilogy, without a shadow of a doubt.

@@MinMin-rr4nm Not technically, they ARE a cat species. Panthera leo. Panthera are all the big cats; leopards, jaguars, tigers, lions and snow leopards. Black panther can mean any one of those but with melanism. Cats like cheetahs and cougars/pumas/mountain lions are not big cats, and are more closely related to house cats.

When I was younger, my mother and I used to watch Stargate SG-1 starring Richard Dean Anderson all the time. Every time the MGM logo would appeared, we would look at each other and say together, “your a bad kitty!”
I think nana treats alex more likes a delinquent while she treats makunga more like a naughty child.
She beats up Alex in a serious fight, and when she says "you bad kitty", she looked really mad.
However, when makungo was tricked by alex into stealing her purse, she looked really shocked when she said "you bad kitty". That could have been the last straw and she treated him like a naughty grandson
