Yeah, the 12's were pretty good, used to get compared to the International 440's that could do several strokes a minute more but whatever. That's in NZ anyway, hay is no longer a big thing here like it used to be, I used to help my dad pick up 1000 -2000 bales on a 120 acre farm back in the day.
Appreciate you sharing your experiences! Thanks for watching
Getting up 12,000 bales in a summer, he was a hard worker.
It would have been a job, especially mowing with a sickle! Thanks for watching!
I normally put my NH ground drive rake on the back draw bar of my baker from field to field transport.
That’s a good idea! Thanks for sharing and have a great day!
Around here in the 70’s 1 tractor pulled the cutter and Tedder and another tractor pulled the square baler, 🚜🪵👍🏼🇱🇷
After buying the 245 he started baling with it and used the 135 for the rest! Thanks for watching!
Good morning Sir, that is exactly the same set up we were using when I was working on farms the tractor was also a 135 Massey too very popular in the Saint Laurence Valley for farmers 💪👍😊 Great video Sir and keep up your great videos Cheers 🍻👍😊
Hey that’s awesome! The 135 as well as a #12 Massey baler were very popular world wide. I enjoy this old equipment. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend!

MF 135’s and Ford 3000’s ruled around here on the 70’s. Still a lot of them around and going strong.
Yes they were the two most popular tractors around at the time. Both very dependable. Thanks!
That is a neat setup! Wow 12000 bales in one season, that’s unreal!
Yeah I’ve always thought that was impressive for around our region especially! Thanks buddy!
I got a 135-MF and it has been a good tractor. I also have the 65-MF (recently restored) row crop model. As well, I have the all gray Ferguson-30, you don't have enough money to buy my toys...i am truly a Ferguson fan!
My personal favorites are the 200 series tractors. Thanks for watching
I've been looking at 4x4 Massey 135 tractors on UA-cam. Rare, but they exist. Would be awesome to have. Great video - family history/memories are awesome!
Yes I’ve seen those too! I’d like to find a good 4 speed 135 with power steering. Thanks for watching!
I knew a man that made a 3 point hitch for the front of his tractor and he put one of those rakes on the front with the wheels turned backwards and it would rake the wind row to the side and it would go perfectly into the baler pick up and his brother would be on the wagon on the back behind the baler stacking so they did it all in one pass
I’ve seen pictures of those type setups! That would be very nice in a big field! Thanks for watching!
A Vicon Lely hay turner/rake had them in Ireland sixty years ago still can do a days work if called upon
I still use this one some. Thanks
Too much talk, not enough raking and baling action.
This video wasn’t about raking and baling it was about talking. I’ve released a couple weeks worth of hay videos recently if that’s what you want.
U definitely can’t beat them 135s my great-grandfathers was a 50s model and it’s still used today what model is yours I think his was a 55-56 somewhere in there
I think the first year for a 135 was 1964. Prior to that it was a 35. Not sure the exact year of mine. Very good tractors! Thanks buddy!
I have a lot of memories walking behind that baler with hay hooks and throwing bales. Thanks
These old Massey baler were a step above anything else for the time period. Thanks for sharing your experiences. Have a wonderful weekend!
I just picked up my first tractor, a 135 with a bush hog. I'm excited to see what all I can do with it.
Best of luck with it, they are great tractors! Appreciate you watching!
That's a really neat setup. That's a lot of hay! When's the demonstration? Take care
I’ve been working on the baler some, I wanting to try using it some this year. Thanks for watching!

Very neat brother and great idea, what motor does your road tractor have?
If your talking about the IH it has a 6.9 diesel. Thanks for watching!
Is it the ford 6.9?
@@joeydalia2572 international 6.9. Basically the same version as the Fords had, just a few differences.
Sweet I assuming it’s a non turbo
