I ask, why hasn’t this had a million views and likes!! You didn’t miss a note and played it superbly. Having just found your channel and reacquainting myself with my guitar, I’m loving it. 👍👍👍
So glad you found the channel. I've wanted to learn this ever since it came out, just never got around to it. It was more work back then when I had to spin the turntable with my finger to slow down stuff so I could hear it. With the YT player you can slow things down all the way to 1/4 speed. Really helps hearing fast licks.
I could not have learned to play this complex piece of music without a little help from the snoozedoctor. Thank you doc, you play a mean electric guitar
wow, I'm happy to be of help. That's why I do these tutorials. I don't play much electric guitar nowadays, so it's fun for me to dabble with it every now and then.
Thank you for sharing this. I’ve always loved this track, but had never attempted to try to play it. Your instruction was easy to follow, and made it possible at last! Very pleased.
He definitely had a style and sound his own. One of the most under appreciated guitarist of that era I think. Even when he wasn't soloing, his playing was incredible. The guitar parts on Passion Play are just outside my ability.
@@snoozedoctor the architecture and the sound of his riffs are ...different, superior. And they are often long and complex characterized by particular rythm and accents...and almost always unpredictable and...soooo beautiful
Thanks! I don't do many electric tutorials, come to think of it, this may be my only one. I play about 99% acoustic these days so I don't pick it up much.
Martin Barre really should be more well known. Such a great player.
Absolutely! Such an amazing and original player.
you're the best, snoozedoctor
Thanks! Cheers!

Hi there! I was just in Italy, very close to you. I agree, fantastic riff!
@@snoozedoctor Not so close, I live in Brest (Brittany) !

WOW. Just discovered your channel. So many good ones, but this is incredible! You've really got the Martin Barre tone with your guitar.
Glad you found the channel! This one is fun to play.
How have I missed this 😮. Just amazing , I'm blown away tbh......Martin Barre was amazing !
Indeed! Ian occasionally let Martin compose a section but it wasn't often enough.
Awesome, thank you 🙂
You're welcome 😊
First heard this song when I was maybe 9 years old, my mum had the Bursting Out Live album. Minstrel was my fave. Great tutorial thx for sharing.
Back in my rock days I always meant to learn this. 40 years later I got around to it.
Thank You for that great video!! One of my all time favorites! Such a powerful piece! You are truly awesome!!
Occasionally Ian would let Martin compose a part of a song. I'm glad he did here!
NAILED IT, DOC! Thanks so much, as always!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! It's a rocker!
No one other changed the game like Martin

Thanks Steven!
Can you make a video on Ian’s acoustic piece as well?
I'll check that out. I never really learned it because it's just the intro but it's kind of a song in itself.
There is a fill that Martin does haven’t been able to figure it out yet
Yeah, there's an overdub that's kind of lost in the mix. I couldn't make it out well enough to put it in.
