I have met Ihsahn twice and he is one of the nicest people I have met in my life. Regardless of his music and being a fan etc, he is just a kind, friendly, humble man. Samoth is a cool and friendly fellow as well. I would happily have them as friends. True people, never fake.
@@RaytheGrayt I don't necessarily like all their records, and while Anthem is considered by many to be their best, their last two are my favorites. They were very progressive and just had a unique atmosphere, IX Equilibrium in particular is a journey.
I don’t respect him at all. The guy welcomes back Faust into Emperor. Faust is a convicted murderer and a violent homophobe who killed someone just for being gay. Everyone in the metal community gets angry that why is Tim Lambesis of as I lay dying allowed back in the band due to attempted murder charges. Yet no one says a thing about Faust who is an actual murderer. He hasn’t even apologised or expressed remorse. He’s pretended as if nothing happened. Fuck Emperor and fuck black metal.

I know why they only have done one song off of Prometheus.... Those songs are insanely hard to pull off, Empty being possibly the most difficult to play. Plus, Samoth doesn't play 7s and most of the songs would require 3 guitarists. That's my view on it.

It's emperors most complex album. If you can't hear the darkness in it, perhaps you're at fault?
Prometheus is fantastic, just like their best one IX Equilibrium, in my opinion.
Prometheus is a huge grower, you need to invest time in it, and you will be rewarded with a great album.
