I'm in love with a British... Sorry, Irish star singer....
Listening to this album for the first time... I am completely blown away by these melodies and vocals. Some albums take a few listens to click, but this is love at first listen for me. Even still, I know I'll be enjoying coming back to this in the near future and letting it fully digest. It's a shame these guys split up so soon after dropping this, they were quite a forward-thinking band in the original post punk wave
Hey, I deeply appreciate your words. It was a hard time for us, the lads in charge at the time weren't too happy to keep on paying us us to keep making music. But don't worry, I for one am making music to this day.
Thank you so much for posting this album Eric! I agree that it's still a great record, despite the critical mauling it received. 'White Lies' remains a favourite of mine. Best wishes from the Ribble Valley
Thank you for posting this. This album is very hard to find, and I only have a worn out vinyl copy from back in the day. Haven't played it for 35 years at least but I can still remember every single track. :-)
The title track and Jump For Joy are among The Passions best songs. It’s a long, but pleasant haul between. Africa Mine really should’ve been in this album.
Thank you for posting this amazing album from this fantastic band, which disappeared after reaching its top with it. It's curious that I've always known the album with a different track order. I got the dutch LP press where Sanctuary and Cars Driven Fast are in a swapped order. The B side opens with the title track and the album ends with the other song, in a track sequence more logical which makes the whole album sound even better.
@@barbaragogan9909 Yes remember you playing - was their a number called - "Hey Mister, I cold be your Sister......"? Wonder who the hearse belonged too - can still picture it parked up :)
It’s weird this was negatively received when absolute garbage made by other bands/performers made it big, especially later on in the mid eighties. Love is Essential is probably my favorite from this album.

Merci, Laurent, pour vos gentils mots.

The Passions = 3 brilliant albums
I fell in love with The Passions way back in 1981, and the love just grows stronger over time 😊❤️🥰🙏
En France on aime aussi the Passions depuis 40 ans.
Je confirme !!
Je confirme également ! Du bon son! Je possède deux vinyls de l'époque. Réjouissant !
BEST ALBUM, !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS BAND
Love this album - super underrated.
Quite agree, by far the best of their 3. I rank them Sanctuary, 30,00 Feet then Michael and Miranda. Way Overlooked!
Love those haunting chords!
I hate that this isnt on any streaming services
Great album, reminds me of Siouxsie and the Banshees.
Their best album, underrated masterpiece !
Bought this on vinyl..still treasure it..one of the most underrated 80 bands...love Barbara's voice and those jangling guitars
I guess Im quite randomly asking but do anybody know a good site to watch newly released movies online?
@Augustine Marcos Flixportal xD
@Zakai Jalen thank you, signed up and it seems like a nice service :D Appreciate it !
@Augustine Marcos Happy to help =)
I just love The Passions. They are part of a 'memory' of a very specific moment in my life when I was so in love.... with a German Film Star.... :)
This album is so good!
i love small talk & into the night😭😭😭
They're very good

What a good number. I came here after I'am in love with a German film star.
Passions : Classic group New wave
Thrilled to have snagged the rerelease from a short bit ago! Great album, great band!
You’ve got fantastic taste in music and equally great bass ability . Keep going .
Thanks a lot. I'll try my best!
Prachtig Album, alle nummers zijn weergaloos... Cars driven fast is my favorite.
Finally released on CD by Rubellan Remasters in 2019
Brilliant album. Regret never seeing them live.
I agree with those that believe this is truly something else..

Into Night is a hidden gem
Beautifull! thank you Eric!! i have found tracks of this album that I did not hear from more then 30 years!
I really like it a lot, thanks. Curious about the other, more "successful" albums now.
I'm glad you like it. Whenever I listen to The Passions, this is the one I find myself coming back to the most.

The bass!!
THIS IS SO UP MY ALLEY. I wish someone had told me about this ten years ago
Thank you! Thank you for sharing this!
Michael & Miranda was tough to follow...one of my most played albums..
Brilliant. Thanks for sharing.
Love is essential...nice one
First time I've listened to this album, way better than thirty thousand feet over china though in my humble opinion
Very underrated band. I think maybe the Banshees were inspired by these guys.
nice guitar from kevin amstrong
🖤🖤🖤
Utada has an English and Japanese version of the same song. Japanese is called Passion. English is called Sanctuary. Coincidence??
Sounds a lot like Soda Stereo from Argentina. Great album by the way.
soda stereo sounds like Passions
agree
My passion is not DEAD elle est pas belle la vie bordel 🤔🤔🎵🎶🎵🎶🥁🥁
Not cluttered or scrappy - seminal Indy album
Is this band connected with a band called The Derelicts who played Stonehenge Festie in 1976?
Yes. Members from The Derelicts splintered into two separate groups, This and pragvec.
@@ericrhodes5174 - any Derelicts recordings? Remember they playing Stonehenge in 1976 - did they have an old hearse?
@@janthompson2855 Yes, we did play Stonehenge in 76. But we had a good van that could hold our PA, lights, gear and us. No hearse, lol.
@@barbaragogan9909 Yes remember you playing - was their a number called - "Hey Mister, I cold be your Sister......"? Wonder who the hearse belonged too - can still picture it parked up :)
Anyone have a song list they can plug in here?
It's in the video description.
man, track 6 reminds me of Bjork or something, its fucking wild
this album should had have i feel cheap

Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories SoundtrCk brought me here…. German Film Star 🤌🤌🤌🤌
Cause Spotify sux
"Weak songwriting with cluttered production ... But it's my favourite of their three albums." lmao so true
Loving something means understanding that the thing you love is flawed. Warts and all.
