Battambang is a province of Cambodia in the far northwest of the country. The northern and southern extremes of the province's western boundaries form part of the international border with Thailand.
Battambang City is the capital of Battambang Province.
The province is subdivided into 13 districts: Banan, Thma Koul, Bavel, Aek Phnom, Moung Ruessei, Rotanak Mondol, Sangkae, Samlout, Sampov Loun, Phnum Proek, Kamrieng, Koas Krala, Rukhak Kiri. and 1 municipality Battambang.
Total area: 11,702 km2.
Population (2019): 997,169.
Population density: 85/km2
-Currency in Cambodia: US dollars and Cambodian riel is also allowed to pay. At the ATM, you have the option of withdrawing USD or Riel.
-Battambang Market is located in Battambang City, Cambodia.
