We just had a lockdown drill today. Didn’t know one was coming today. Happened a little after 2:30 PM in my science class UPDATE: had another one today during health class at about 8:50 am
My School make someone in the Office to go over the PA and says "Lockdown, Lockdown, Lockdown" and leaves the PA On because each classroom have a AV System Connected to the PA and it Overrides audio when the PA is On. Our School Uses Frontrow EZRoom for the Class AV System and The Frontrow Conductor IP Based system for PA, 2 way Intercom, and Bells. The Conductor Portion is Connected to Classroom AV Systems and Speakers in Hallways, Outside, Gymnasiums, etc
@@XxThegreatguyxX That’s interesting. I wonder if my high school has programmed the flashers. Last year they weren’t programmed at all so there were no flash during lockdown and shelter in place alerts when they tested it after school.
@@caltrain_928 I might go to my old elementary school to help out my 6th grade teacher for a Christmas party if I get the approval. The reason I’m telling you this is there might be a chance there’s going to be a fire drill (According to my little brother).
A lockdown drill is a type of drill where schools practice what to do if an intruder is in the school. When the alarm goes off, teachers lock doors, cover door windows and move the students out of sight and they wait for an all clear or law enforcement to open your door. I’m guessing you’re not in America

Why does the lockdown alarm sound like the Emergency Alert System tones
because a lot of people already recognize the tones as an emergency sound and know that something is wrong, so they're taking advantage of that.
It's called the attention tone for a reason

My high school’s lockdown drill won’t be until March.
I’ve also notice that the flashers do not sync with other IP clocks.

@@XxThegreatguyxX So they are going to have a fire drill during Christmas party? At my elementary school we don’t have drills during holiday parties.
