I feel like this is Royal’s continuation of Beneath the Mask, if I’m being honest. It feels like an extension on the themes presented in Beneath the Mask.
mega man I actually prefer this over the original too. Not saying the other one is bad, but this cover makes me feel like I’m at a jazz concert instead of a jazz club. It feels more complete. There’s more instruments in the back (and some new elements in the cover too), and the lyrics are clearer (still love Lyn though) But I will say that if the track was made like this, it would ruin the jazz club vibes.
After listening to the lyrics i feel like this song contains references to both p3 and p4. P3-"Someone once Said to burn my dread" P4-"what fills up my soul is passionate music that makes me want to sing" While the p4 can be stretch if you think about it it can be reference to nanako and the junes theme
