The transformer gun is a Walther P-38. That's what Megatron, the leader of the Decepticons, transformed into from his robot form.

Wow. You’ve brought back so many good memories. I was born in 1971. I had most of the guns you mentioned. I used to go out with my friends with real looking machine guns and play war in the woods in our neighborhood. If kids today played with toys like we had back then they’d get shot

There was a goldmine of awesome, realistic cap guns in the 80s and 90s. Most of them used plastic strip caps. They were like the ring caps, but in a straight line. These were definitely the kinds of guns that could get people in trouble. But damn, they were great looking toys.

Picked up a butterfly knife at the flea market while with my grandmother. My dad made me a throwing star out of a piece of rusty sheet metal. Long live 80's parenting. I loved the motorized water gun. Played the hell out of it until it broke.

I had one of those Entertech guns. I think they didn't last long because they never shot the water as far as advertised. Mine with fresh battteries would do 10 feet tops when the commercials said 30 feet. The one gun every kid wanted (and some had) from the 80s on down was a Daisy BB gun that you had to pump so many times before firing it. Some who had parents with money would get the CO2-powered pellet gun that did more damage.

9:18 I had that pistol with the silencer. It was called the Lionmatic (you can see a lion head on the grip) and you could put strip caps in the removable magazine. There were several other guns in this line including one my friend had called the Jaguarmatic. Great quality for the time!

I had just about all of these toy guns. The cap gun with the suppressor was the Luger, Megatron was the Walther P38. I had the Luger cap gun, and the A-Team M24…. You put the caps in the magazine of the
Luger. The ‘80’s were the best

I remember having have a gun that shot little yellow balls. I also had a toy shot gun (that had a metal barrel) and when you pulled the trigger there was a finned wheel inside that would make a "whirl like" sound, although that may have been from the 70's.

  • @afoolandhismoneychannel
    @afoolandhismoneychannel Рік тому +1

I had a cool sub-machine gun toy as a kid in the 80s... it had a part that stuck out of the right side that you'd pull back to cock the weapon, then it would make loud "rat-a-tat-a-tat" sounds when you pulled the trigger as the lever-thing ratcheted back to its resting position. The red "silencer" thing that stuck out of the barrel would move during the firing sequence. Man I wasted TONS of my friends in the creek behind my house with that gun! I was the best armed kid in my neighbourhood! I also had a black metal Luger cap-gun, a plastic M-14 Carbine, a blow-moulded sword, the Spock helmet... OK, no Spock helmet but damn I needed one! 😁

Remember going to this kids birthday party in 1st or 2nd grade? He got one of the suction cup dart guns, his older sister grabbed it away from him and disgustedly threw away the suction cups and told him you are supposed to shot pencils with it. Fast forward, we ended up playing in the crawl space under the house shooting each other with pencils, I came home filthy dirty with about 5 bleeding pencil wounds, mom wasn't happy.

Awesome video Junkman. My favorite toy gun to play with when I was kid was Megatron. And he shot little plastic pellets. I can't remember the toy army line they were very tiny figures but the playsets were weapons like a machete a grenade and all other military items that a soldier would carry with them in combat. I think they were called Army I think. Great stuff Junkman thank you for taking the time to make these videos for us to enjoy with you. Have a great day my friend and may the force be with you always.

wow, that sword at 1:45, i had the one on the right. never thought i'd see that again, haven't thought about that in almost 40 years. growing up in the '80s we definitely had the coolest toy guns ever made. the Entertech water guns were amazing quality for what they were (besides the fact that they didn't shoot worth a damn) and looked/felt so "real". i remember exactly when they started using the orange barrel plugs/ends and then painting them in neon colors. i knew things would never be the same after that. '90s and later toys were so lame, but thankfully i had aged out by that point. born in '76 there was no better time for toys as when i was a kid, ever. i consider myself lucky in a lot of ways, so many things i would have missed out on if i were born a few years earlier or later. toys, music, movies, video games... so much.

I envy the kids who got that version.
My dad got me a cooler version (I did not think that back then) where the helmet had feathers in different colors and the sheild, made out of extremely thin blue plastic, hade a super cool crest depicting a knight and a dragon, instead of the more sturdy grey version with a cross on it.

Hey Junkman! The toy gun with the silencer is a Walther P38. I had this one and the Colt 45 semiautomatic as a kid. These were cap guns whose magazines released like their real life counterparts. You would load them with 10 or 12 shot red cap strips similar to those in the toy revolver. I loved those things. I think the line of handguns was 4 or 5 different types. Boy, you ran the gamut of toy guns. Disc guns, paper cap guns, circle cap revolvers, enter tech battery water guns (the BEST), the keychain cap guns. All were awesome to run around and play army with. Hell, I was awesome at high crawling in basic training due to years of doing it as a kid while we played army at night in the summer time (what I thought of as low crawling was not low enough for the military, you are pretty much dragging your face, weapon, and body along the ground while low crawling). Super soakers were pretty awesome in teen years. Get a bunch of people together and we would have teams running around my friend’s apple orchard (I picked apples in the fall there part time, so I knew where good hiding spots were and where the best tasting apples were in the fall). As we got older and did the super soaker wars, alcohol and girls were added, as well as two beat up battery powered golf carts. To be a kid again….

I had the usual revolving door of cheap guns, pop gun rifles where you'd cut the cork off the string and lose it, cap pistols and water pistols, and then the King of Guns; the Johnny 7 OMA! Never had one myself, but a kid down the street did. Haven't seen him in over 45 years and if I saw him now, I'd kick his head in. Still got the 2 Star Wars guns, Blaster Pistol and Rifle ( it was a Stormtrooper Blaster, not a wimpy Luke one!).
Later on I had a ping pong ball firing Blake's 7 federation rifle (bet that got your attention JM!) and the James Bond Moonraker die cast cap firing laser rifle. All I've got now is a BB gun.And a couple of pistol crossbows. That'll do!😁👍👍

@That Junkman Yes, that was made to represent a ''Walther P38''. That gun has a really interesting history! The (Walther P.38) is a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol. It was one of many pistols developed by ''Carl Walther'' himself. And was meant to replace the more comparatively complex and expensive to produce, (Luger P08). Although the Philippines is often cited as being the birthplace of ''Butterfly Knive'' (Balisong) is really a more appropriate term. Legend has it that the ''Balisong knife'' originated around 800 AD. This style of knife could be opened quickly with one hand and easily be used for quick kills. The ''M24'' is actually the (military and police) version of the ''Remington Model 700 rifle''. M24 is the model name that was assigned by the United States Army. After it had been adoption as the U.S Army's standard Sniper Rifle in 1988. I really do miss the old days... When Toy Guns didn't have those Damn fluorescent pink barrels! 😖

Aw, man... The video cut out before Junkman got to _laser tag_ (okay, it wasn't in the video, but it should've been!).
Anyway, I had a Rambo M16 auto water gun, not the M60. And let me tell you... it was near impossible to run that thing out of water! It had like a gallon-size container (or maybe it was a half a gallon). You could squirt people with it all day and only have to refill it maybe twice. Lot's of fun!
And the other gun I remember most was a pump rifle that made a noise when you fired it. Hard to describe the sound, but it kind of sounded like a siren/star wars laser (?). I don't know! It wasn't the sound a rifle made, but it was still the first toy gun I had that made sound, so I really liked it!

You are forgetting about the ones (although it could have been the 70s too) that had the little yellow rubbery bbs. You could load a bunch into the little chamber and have plenty of shots and if you were lucky enough to get a pretty good one they had just enough strength to feel a little sting when hit with them but not really enough to hurt you unless of course you got one in the eye or close to it. But those were fun as hell. And one other one but this one was from the 70s the one that came in the KISS Love Gun album it was card board and paper and you tucked the paper part inside the cardboard gun and when you snapped your wrist the paper shot out that said BANG on it

I had a couple of those in the late 80s. The ones I had were orange and yellow, but it wasn’t anything a can of silver or black spray paint couldn’t fix (and yeah, back in ‘87 a 10-year-old could walk into Target unsupervised and buy spray paint)

My little brother shoved those yellow bb's up his nose and instead of telling Mom what he had done, this 4 year old genius shoved them up so far that they spent 5 hours in the ER getting them out with some type of forceps.
