Awesome! Never could afford a trip to Europe so seeing and learning through you has been a blessing. When I found your videos I subscribed and went back and watched them all. Thanks for all your hard work.
A fair and arcuate tourer of the museum , will be interesting to see what changes they are making to the rest of the building. For me the castle and the prison are the most interesting. historical part. As a suggestion for a future topic , the Lowestoft pottery's would be interesting, Thanks for posting.
There are more exhibits for the Royal Norfolks at the Muckleburgh Collection up at Weybourne; and for a real treasure trove of 19th century social history artifacts check out the top floor of Gressenhall Rural Life museum - everyday items used by people at the time, anybody liking the Bridewell will appreciate the actual value of such a range.
Thank you I had no clue about that next time I find myself in North Norfolk I will give it a look I am happy there is more on display and not just buried deep in some archive.
Agree with you about the reference to that idiotic television program MASH, Thank you for this video. I love this museum and visited it just before the renovation. I hope to visit again soon.
This is a very good service, you provide there. The castle looks rather peculiar to me, reminding me of a massive prison building. What you say at 14:13 is so true, but then again, people made so light of it that they started another. That's a huge mystery to me, but says a lot about human beings - and thus about history 20:33 Not a nitpick in my opinion. Genuinely bizarre!
Extortionant cost. I remember when it was 30p. It’s stopping Norfolk people going there and having something to do. I’d often go as a child with a friend. They need more info on who lived there and how it was built what went on etc. Icini bit was good. Interesting facts on the art and your enjoyment of the section. I think the regiment area should have the uniforms in date order and more about what happened and why.
I fully agree, there is a lot of protentional they seem to be missing, as for the price just how things are now sadly in fact the prices when up between me recording and finishing editing I had to redo that part.
Is the work due to finish next year ? Honestly looking forward to when its finished, last time i went the inner keep was bare of all the exhibits due to the early phase of the works
Great video. I went a there a few years ago. My feelings were mixed and I'm sad to say much appears to be the same. Broken screens, empty cabinets and such as you described. Seemed poorly curated and not well cared for. I hope things improve but I certainly won't be paying these prices.
That's fair and understandable, you do only get 1 chance at a 1st impression, I really do hope they 24 million will be spent on other parts of the museum out side of the castle, honestly even just a move round of things would help.

Thank you very much, I am glad I am able to give you a little slice of History from a bit of the wider world.
A Magnificent Castle.
You are so right about the paintings being best in person. The Munnings of theSuffolk mare and foal is mesmerising! It’s my favourite painting ever.
I can understand that for sure, and it is a shame that is makes up such a large part of the museum as a whole.
Thank you for your work. Love how you present your local history.
Lovely castle and museum. I miss it.
I love the idea theyre making the museum more accessible. Hopefully it will be finished on time :)
I hope so too
If you get a chance, visit the castle. We went some time ago. Brilliant.

Thank you, it has now been added to my list.
Thanks for another cracking vlog very interesting 🧐
Brilliant, thank you!

I cannot wait for the work to be done. I think it’s been going on for a good three years now. !

It might just be because 2 members of my family fought in the Korean War but it being reduced to a comedy show just hit me the wrong way.
I know that tiger. When I was a little girl I would stand in front of it and look it in the eyes. It was quite terrifying.
It was always the polar bear that scared me a child.
Idle thought: is the lion with the blanket-stitched bottom still there? (Edit: yep, nice video footage).

Thank you for giving respect to the things you could. I must admit, I was rather gobsmacked over the Korean War. It is such a shame.
I am glad I am not the only one who finds in strange they included that.
The taxidermy is so Victorian and not for me. I had to stop the video and exit at this point, unfortunately.
I can understand why, It is a shame that such a large part of the museum involves it.
