Omigosh, what a wonderful treasure box of 30s vintage. What's interesting is that puff & extreme sleeves are very in right now as is ruffles so the silhouettes look so current & of the moment in many ways. I like those hats that are more like a head band with mesh & feathers attached. I find they are more comfortable & adjustable around however you are wearing your hair (up or down) My mother always called those fancy hair nets snoods but idk if that's their proper name or not. I hope everything fits & you both enjoy wearing it 🥂💖

I don't know if you've done a video like this before, but I'd love to see how you'd style trickier/more unique garments like those transparent summer dresses. For example, would you search for a slip from that era or wear something modern. And of course other details in those outfits. Ps- I finally acquired an authentic Egyptian art piece after being inspired by your video with Vintage Egyptologist from however long ago that was and want to quickly say I appreciate how wonderful and informative and super fun your channels are to watch. But My Vintage Love does the absolute best collabs and the attention to detail is immaculate. In every aspect it's obvious you two love the pieces you display, the craftsmanship they have, the people who make or wear such beautiful items like yourselves, and that you two contribute to the community you feel kinship with. And like that's something to really admire, so always thank you for sharing

My favourite items were the vests, the black hat fascinated, the top hats, the 1930s rhinestone gown and the maroon gown. If you love rhinestone and beaded gowns, have you seen Callot Soeurs gowns from the 1910s and 1920s? My favourite of the 1920s is a teal velvet housed at the Robert and Penny Fox Historic Costume Collection at Drexel University. BTW would love to see Matthew and you in the vest at a Ascot like vintage horse racing event. Will there be a try on vlog to follow?

if you love vintage so much you shouldn't wear it. these garments are fashion history! they should be preserved and not subjected to being worn and having undo stress put on them. just my opinion as a vintage clothing collector for the last 40 years, and a costume designer. who specializes in Victorian edwardian costuming. just saying.
I hear what you're saying, but I am extremely careful with my collection and far from the only person who wears vintage clothing. There was a vintage clothing show in NYC just this past weekend where thousands of pieces of vintage were being bought and sold and worn. You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but I will continue to collect and wear my collection.

I am just stating my opinion.It stems from the realization that in the movie titanic they used and destroyed thousands of dollars worth of vintage clothing. so alot of pieces were destroyed ffg or no reason. i have no problem with wearing 30s,40,s and onward. is the Victoria and edwardian thtough the 20's that we need to be so careful with. To tell you the truth, I would prolly wear vintage myself, if I wasn't such a big guy. I am 6'5".. Do you have pieces you collect but don't wear?

I have very few pieces that are older than that and hardly ever wear them. I know how delicate they are. I really treasure my collection and have spent years building it.
