I was at Disneyland Monday in 90 degree weather and I saw SO many newborn-4month olds and I’m like how 😢 I was dying in the heat I can’t imagine a little baby who can’t regulate their own body temps!!
Yes to hibernating after your baby is born. You’ll need time to recover from birth and getting adjusted to this new phase of life. Plus cold and flu season will slowly be making its way back so no need to be completely out and about right away. We had our firstborn end of September and I loved that it was in the cozy season of Autumn.
I never took a child to a concert until 12 yrs old (and it was her birthday present), but hibernating is usually only a luxury with a first baby. With all the others, you have kids you have to take places, responsibilities, so staying home hibernating is not an option. I like the new painting. I love the colors.

Their immune systems are so vulnerable when they’re young so staying home for a while is a good parenting decision. No baby needs Taylor Swift blasted in their ear. Smh.

Doctors suggest keeping baby away from crowds and such until they're old enough for their vaccinations. That's about 2 months old. But you'll probably feel like staying home anyways for awhile after baby comes. It's so scary when they get sick!!😢 that's the hardest part of parenting!!
My hot take is that I wish I had brought my baby out to do more stuff because now she’s a toddler and everything is a struggle. Bringing an immobile baby that only needs milk is the easiest thing ever

Joint pain is common during pregnancy because of the hormone changes that allow your hips and pelvis to widen in preparation for birth but can affect other joints as well. Normal but would definitely bring up to your doctor!

Yes to the photo books for your boy! I printed off pics of our boy every three months into an album and from his fourth month when he started sitting up and crawling (I didn't get to have my "baby" for long 😢) those were the books he would go for! He loved looking at his pix and I made ones with family members with him . Finally I made the cheap Walgreens albums for him to have all his own cause his little grabby hands were over using the nicer photo albums.😂 Walgreens albums were $4.99 for I think 20 or 25 pictures in a little booklet. He still looks at these and he's 2.5. I have continued to make them every few months. And bonus it keeps us off the phone looking at the pix all the time.
Duvet hack : turn the duvet cover inside out, lay it out flat, place the duvet on top and then roll them up. Once you get to the end, fold the opening over the roll and just unroll it. I hope that helps if you try it! It was a game changer for me lol
The picture of the baby at the concert is crazy! What?! We stay in with the baby and we don’t allow people to kiss the baby (so many people want to), that includes family. People really differ in this, do what you are comfortable with. Our 20 month old seems HUGE now that we have a newborn. They really are so teeeeny.
My baby boy Oaklen is 2 months now ❤ but when I was pregnant for the last few months I swelled so bad, my legs and feet & ankles and it hurt so much to walk. It was a good month postpartum when It finally started going down! And when they say your baby will have a lot of hair if you have heart burn, that wasn’t the case for my baby lol he barely had any hair! I’m so excited for you and Zach to have your little guy ❤
Your life doesn’t end because you have a baby. People usually realize this after having kids (I have 2) plus you both are blessed to have your parents close so I’m sure they won’t mind baby sitting if you guys wanna go do something that you don’t want to take the baby to. My advice, don’t stress.. you will make mistakes as you go and you learn from them but your baby will be perfectly fine!

hey there, loved your video. You may want to look on UA-cam for easier ways to fill your duvet cover. The best way is to turn your duvet cover inside out and then lay your comforter over it and then basically flip it back right side out I learned this along time ago on, UA-cam channel.

My son was a free me 5 and a 1/2 weeks early. We were so careful, but somehow he got R. SV and was in the hospital for 2 weeks. If I could have had another child, I would have stayed in unhibernated much longer. He was born the end of November.
Clancy, make sure the pages/plastic sleeves of the photo album are acid-free. The acid otherwise begins to affect the photos and after a couple of years, the color begins to fade or the photos get an orange tinge which is such a pity for the effort, time and money invested. Acid-free albums tend to be more expensive but are very worthwhile as your baby will have the photos to enjoy for many, many years to come.

I think staying home with your newborn sounds like a good decision. This doesn’t mean you have to keep in the house. If the weather isn’t too cold, you can take him to places, probably after he’s 1 to 2 months old. My sister did this. She waited until after her baby girl was a month old to take her out of the house finally, she was just mindful of where she was taking her baby to. In your case, you’re going to have your parents there, especially if you and Zac need a night out! lol
When push came to shove, I picked the name for our first, my husband picked the name for our second and we agreed together for our third. It wasn't easy but in the end, everything worked out and we were both happy.

When my son was born my husband and and I created a shared album on our iPhones so that we both could share alllll the pictures we take. Every month I would go through the album and print off the best pictures and tuck them away in a photo box. He’s two now and it’s still the best thing ever when my husband adds pictures of our son and vice versa. Highly recommend the shared album!
If you use the duvet cover inside and spread it for the duvet and used your hands holding the cover and duvet at same time, you will be done in 5 minutes. Check youtube video how to pit your duvet cover on you will see.

Agreed regarding taking very young babies to concerts and ball games and that sort of thing but I think people are just so proud to show them off so I get why they do it. If they are someplace where they can come into contact (the ends) with other batteries, they can ignite a fire. Other batteries aren't capable of making this happen:) You may want to do your own research on this but that is my understanding. You look gorgeous in your photos!!

See the thing is, doing stuff with a newborn/small baby is SOOOOO easy compared to an older baby/toddler. Baby wearing is the best thing ever and you can bring them to a lot of places in the carrier. But I do get not wanting to expose them to germs but after the vaccines, it’s so fun to get out and about 😊

Yes! Lately I’ve been doing 4-5 classes a week at burn boot camp and then I walk every day as well! (And at burn the exercises change based on what day it is!)
It took us months to figure out what to name our son! Bennett is what we decided on and many people didn’t like it but I didn’t care because the name clicked and that’s what I decided on.

Yes! Lately I’ve been doing 4-5 classes a week at burn boot camp and then I walk every day as well! (And at burn the exercises change based on what day it is!)
It took us months to figure out what to name our son! Bennett is what we decided on and many people didn’t like it but I didn’t care because the name clicked and that’s what I decided on.
