Here's a look at the main bits I'm using in the jet boat,
it's pretty much the same as the surfboard but with bigger batteries,
I should be out in a couple of days to see if there's any gains in speed,
if you are thinking of having a go at building one here's some of the pieces that have worked well for me and might help you in deciding what best for you,
I have now moved the kayak into my kitchen so the work shed can now be used better for making drive-units for people, it was a bit cramped with the two of us in there, I can now focus more on taking the boat out and making jet-drives,
the boats just needs some impact pads for some of the electrics and it should be ready for taking on some ramps and taking a bash or two,,
I've a feeling this is going to get very real very soon or too real too soon :)

Nice Setup, i decided to make one for myself. Ordered the 56114 13kw 500kv 45krpm Motor , a flier 22s 240A Esc, 100mm Jet housing, Same Coupler as you and 80v 40Ah battery Pack. Can't wait to get it in my hands and what the results on my 20kg kayak are.

@@Jcslim138 Update is i dumped this because i ordered a much too big jet drive and sold it, this motor is good for about 60-70mm depending on pitch of the prop. But the 70mm jet drive puts only 25kg of thrust and i destroyed it by reving it too high without water, this gets spare parts now and then i sell it, so i decided to go with 23kw motor on 85mm jet drive and 50kg thrust, this is about to get build, when jet arrives, just need to remove the 70mm from the kayak....

Yes i have built it, but my Kajak hast was too much drag, goes about 20kmh at full throttle, the Back is a little Bit too heavy and i will Swap everything to a Pyranha ammo L Kajak in winter

Link your buckets together and run one arm from the servo to one of the buckets

Hi mate iv had the same idea for the last 10 years I bought me and my brother 2 4 stroke petrol kayaks about 7 years ago they were stupid heavy it took 2 of us to carry them to the canal i thought you could lift them like yours they were pretty slow and too cumbersome i want one like yours i can throw In back of my pick up are you in Manchester? I'm in wakefield I would like to build one myself very soon and maybe meet up odd wknd for a blast about I have a jet turbine bike on here been on years maybe you have seen it in the past brens jet bike? Ha look forward to hearing from you great video

Hi, this is sampath from India. Actually I got inspired by you and planning to build a two floater catamaran with water jet powered. There are two floaters so 2 water jets are required and the load carrying capacity should be 600Kg. Can you please help on the water jet dimensions, Motor specifications and battery specifications?
