Thanks man for this. I'm buying an ilx today, and just have been on the fence. . This video helped me make a confident decision. I'm going to go ahead and pull the trigger. I really appreciate you taking time to make this video. You just got a new subscriber! I'll find your main channel too.
@ChabbysExtras the deal fell through. I called the dealer and told them I could only afford 500 or less for my car note.. I was at that dealership for 6 hours. The last document I signed was my payment per month... 813$ a month for a 23,995$ car ?! I had to refuse. I feel good about not buying a car from such a scum bag
Bought my 2021 ILX Premium A-Spec white back in Jan with 25k miles, like new. Love this car. A-spec adds some nice trim and body kit. The shark grey wheels alone make the car look set, add the micro black spoiler and the dark chrome trim on the front of the car and it looks tuff. Quick easy upgrade to wireless android auto, I bought a $42 adapter on Amazon, just plugs into the USB and can be mounted to the inside of the console with supplied double sided tape. Works pretty much seamlessly and flawlessly with the factory audio system / android auto on my phone and no more wires. Keep in mind, spare tire was an option, mine did not come with one so I bought the tire and the kit from the dealership at around $450 tax and mount. I hit a bad pothole in the road (construction zone going slow) and blew a tire about a month after I got the spare, I was so glad I had it.
4 year old car fresh off lease 25k miles ok. When new 27 to 28 thousand. This one is listed as used 2021 asking price 25 grand. Hello. Lol. Used car prices are ridiculous that makes no business sense. I worked in the car business before covid used luxury cars always lost the most value. Id say before covid this wouldve lost 40% of value. So its like a 14 to 20 thousand dollar car at most. The person that leased this easily with down payment and monthly lease 12 to 15 grand for those 3 years. Lol
Have you shopped cars then and now? Huge difference, things have changed a lot. There's no such thing as a $5k used car anymore unless you buy a junker that wont last with 200k+ miles on it that 5 to10 owners have gngbngd. You are going to pay $10k-$15k for a just "OK" used car car that may have 100k-150k miles and then $18k-$30k for a close to new car with 25k-85k miles depending on make. It ain't pretty out there and people do not take care of their cars anymore, sad.
I got my ilx, identical to the one in the vid, one owner lease vehicle clean carfax for 20 grand flat, and it was cpo with a crazy 100k warranty and 27k miles. I spent nearly a year looking for a car, but as the other comment said, you gotta spend that 18-30k to get something new or really low miles. Anything cheaper is gonna have 6 digit miles almost always esp if it’s a Honda or Toyota. Trust
The ILX is a wonderful car. Better build quality than the Integra. I own both, The ILX is a better car.
