Nice walk in this city centre of Brighton, the street is very beautiful, with great lovely buildings, the seaside view just awesome...wish I could visit there in near future.

my how places change I grew up in Brighton as a child/teenager in the 60's used to work in western road many many years back now my how all my childhood memories/teenage memories have come to my thoughts watching this very nicely done video most enjoyable I now live in Suffolk and am 71years now so my memories go back a long way thankyou for the trip down memory lane so to speak very enjoyable .

Shame on you .”Saf end where’s that and whats there.?.Now Brighton was the epicenter of the world to me.Bars packed with national service sailors for a wild night out without the restrictions of Pompy.Lucky for me i was 6 foot tall aged 14 so mo problems about growing up quickly.I live in northern Thailand now but mention Brighton.Everyone knows where that is.
The bars,full of nostalgia.The Albion,forget it .The only thing i REALLY miss is David Shepherd,Ted Dexter,Jim Parks Kennie Suttle in full flow and not forgetting my old friend Ian Thompson

It seems as if the Melrose Restaurant is permanently closed down. That really saddens me if that is the the case. I used to love going down there when I came to Brighton to visit my late grandparents (RIP).

Born and bought up in Brighton & Hove.Have you any 0ld photos to show.My parents were both born there 1908 .I was born there 1938.It all looks a bit “posher” to my young days,so it should i bought my first house for 3,600 pounds

@@Wanderizm Brighton is an all-year-round resort, unlike many British coastal towns. Quieter than high Summer of course, but never, ever, sleepy.
Is it still 24 hrs a day train service from London Victoria to Brighton ?

I love Brighton, some years ago in the 1990s I visited shortly after they completed the beachside board walk with all the bars etc. We were sat at one of these bars, and two trans people dressed to the nines carrying two small dogs skated past us on roller skates. And I said well this is a different kind of place! And that is what makes Brighton great it’s just so open to everything.
Also so many people get fried on a trip to Brighton, facing south, long days with the sun at 50 degrees up, the sea to bounce the light up and the quartz/flint beach too, with the white buildings behind, it is a solar furnace. Take your sunscreen.
PS, you missed the large gay neighbourhood, I guess it was long enough!
It's like London by sea! I love it there because of its cosmopolitan vibe and since it has everything! Which part of Brighton is the gay neighbourhood?
This is surprisingly interesting to watch even though I live in Brighton and walk these roads every day, but it does bring to life how utterly, irredeemably meaningless all our lives are. We see row upon row upon row of oh so many repeating kind of shops, so many kabab shops and chip shops and vape shops and coffee shops and supermarkets and cloths shops and pound shops and phone shops. Who cares if we were to throw all this bullshit into the sea tomorrow? It would create only more space, beauty and therefore meaning in our lives. If we could throw the whole of civilization into the sea then we would be free, and not have the ruins of society become her funeral mask. You know who she is. I'm talking about the nameless infinite here.
Brighton was a welknown crime gangland from the 1930's to the 1950's.
