I just got the FSD 12.5.1 update and took the Model Y out to test it out against the Las Vegas Strip at night to see how it compares to FSD 12.5 I was very impressed!
FSD 12.5.1 still makes egregious errors, on any challenging route. 100 percent human supervision is required. 'Self Driving' remains just a dream, a fantasy.
@@Tommy88833 Drivers are not that stupid, most people drive daily for years without an accident. FSD cannot drive independently for even *one* *hour* without human assistance. On a challenging route, of course.
First time watching your channel! Good video. A couple of comments to help inform you of how FSD works. 1. The system currently dies nit submit map data updates so that construction change was from external sources not the Tesla. 2. The speed bumps are not mapped, the car is just individually reacting as it sees each one, so the speed up between is just normal activity.
Hey Tim, the interaction with the traffic control guy at 26:26 is a good edge case. The car handled it well. I'm sure it would have proceeded but you did what I would have done as well and tapped the accelerator to keep traffic flowing. You might consider adding chapter marks for the most interesting bits if you are going to post a full unedited drive. I struggle with this on my FSD videos. The drives are getting so good it's harder to find interesting cases. Feel bad for those trying to monetize FSD videos. The hope being our drives become so boring there it little reason to watch them. :)
Car did what it should have done, stop because you never know if that's an intentional move or the guy falling over or tripping. Cars can kill, better safe then sorry.
Really funny to hear your calm narrative having just watched Dr Know it All's drive with his constand almost manic babble. Just shows the difference in your driving styles. You calm and forgiving, his impatient and aggressive. Thank you for this it is magically impressive.
18:25 loved the Tesla display showing the double-semi land-train as a comically LOOONG car 🤣
Great test. Construction, lots of cars and people, odd neon lighting and even done at night. I will watch more of your Vegas test loop.
Thanks for your vids!

I’m very impressed with the 12.5.1

@@DerekDavis213 definitely always need supervision!
@@Tommy88833 People did not pay 1000's of dollars for supervised driving. That is not what Elon promised *eight* *years* *ago* .
@@DerekDavis213 People promise a lot of things! I rather have supervised driving cars due to unsupervised stupid drivers.

Good narration and good with fsd. Calm and pleasant to listen to.

You really pushed FSD hard! This is amazing to watch!!

Im like Dr Know It All when I drive with it 😂 it’s so impressive
@@blessguy5330 You think you are like him but your comment uses too few words. You need to step it up a notch, try going off on a few tangents.
Thanks for sharing. I see there is more collaboration between the route planner and FSD.

Take it to Laughlin thru the mountain passes.
26:39 FSD was great, i wouldn't count it as an intervention it was a human error
Any interventions?
@31:00 nah.. you are the rude one man...
yeah, car had clear way to turn right but didn't... bad AI..
