    Thanks for the video.....I have enjoyed your FMQ videos.....every time I watch I get encouraged to try .....I have a growing stack of quilt tops that really need to be turned into usable quilts! 😂 This design looks fairly simple.....although I like the circles....I probably would not do the fills....i think I have decided I don’t like quilts that are too busy with quilting.......for me less is more! ❤️

    I noticed that some of the white batting was coming up in places on your quilt sample piece. Do they make dark colored batting for quilts? If not you should consider getting it ordered and sell it!! LOL I have never considered quilting on black, just the texture alone makes it an art piece. The ideas are spinning in my brain! Wonderful tutorial once again!

    Maybe , pretty please could you do a video on how to stay comfy and not have the tension in your body. I'm tall with a bad lower back, I need glasses too , so it feels like my sewing machine days are behind me. I noticed you kept saying breath which I found helpful . Thanks in advance

      I get back pain when my table is too low, a higher table and a height adjustable office chair may help a lot

      It helps if your not stressed out. Turn on soothing music, relaxing body while you’re sitting there. Take breaks.

      Do what makes you comfortable with your own circumstances. I'm tall, too, with rods in my spine so I can't even bend, I have a tall table that I can stand over and pull an adjustable stool over when I get too sore. Every so often take some deep breaths, stretch your body, and assess where you're at in your project and figure out what you can do next based on how you feel.

    Hey, Rob! Love your videos! Say, do you have a video about managing a larger quilt while free motion quilting? How do you roll a big ol' bed quilt up and still manage the piece under the needle? And Why do you pin instead of using a spray baste product?

    I love your you tubes! However my order arrived from the missouri quilt company and items are missing. For those who order items from them, please be careful and check all items. Measure all the fabric should you order any.

    Hi Rob, the way you can pull your bobbin thread up through the bottom of the fabric when starting out, is that a feature of your specific machine or is it just a technique that could work on any machine? Thanks!

    • @faitharrowood8001
      @faitharrowood8001 6 років тому +1

      Lauren Taber It works on other machines, I've done it on my modern Brother and my antique Singer. Rob shows it more slowly and clearly in some of his other free motion skills and drills videos and he walks Jenny through the techinique in another.

    I have been trying to machine quilt my queen size quilts, my machine is doing okay but moving /managing all that fabric and batting is tough. My shoulder get tired from just holding all that bulk, and then it becomes frustrating.

    • @renealee
      @renealee 6 років тому +1

      Bize Althtime, I had that same problem until I "built" a quilt suspension system. I just used a garment rack ($15 at Walmart), 3 bungee cords and 3 large clamps. All total everything was a little under $30. I clamp the bulk of the queen into the clamps in front of me and it is so much lighter. Depending upon what you're quilting, you could be doing a lot of shifting the quilt on those clamps but it does help with managing the weight and helping my shoulders. I hope this helps.

    With something like this pattern fmq does it matter if you do all the arches first . Cut the thread and then do infill , or is the idea to only have one start and stop point?

    Sue Patten has a video that gives you a few more options ua-cam.com/video/qahu5BGoFgA/v-deo.html&feature=em-subs_digest. For the grids, you can learn to make your own from Debbie Brown in this video ua-cam.com/video/916nfeYMdtU/v-deo.html. Start at 20.20.
