I’ve got a couple budget friendly razors that shave like pricier razors. The Parker Injector is a very nice razor, for just under $35. I think it shaves just as well as the vintage Schick injectors and the Supply SE. The RazoRock ECO is quite nice also. Although I do recommend putting a heavier handle on it. It’s all aluminum, and without a weightier handle it’s much too light for my taste.
@@GregTardif my blockers are still pretty active. I do have some back pain and the nerve pain is pretty intense! I’ve been relaxing and trying to heal today. Thanks for thinking about me buddy!
only 7 months into DE shaving and I'm starting to notice that I do get irritation depending on the brand of blade (bought a 120 blade sample pack - mostly 5 and 10 blades per brand)..although if a blade gives me irritation I will try on a few razors and can usually find one that works better than others i.e. Big Ben = irritation on FatHandle but less/no irritation of Henson or Parker Adjustable (probably because I turned it waaay down to like 1.5!)
Have you ever tried a Parker closed comb razor like the 56r or 64s? Those are pretty nice. The 64s has a heavier stainless handle with deeper knurling. The head is mildish but borderline aggressive. The 56r has the same head so similar experience but the handle makes it feel different.
@@GregTardif Oh and I also bought a Rockwell T2 in Gunmetal based on your review of it. Got the wife to buy it as a birthday present 😎. Also got a 20% discount on the Rockwell website.
I've got the Zomchi version of this (I have some lady and non-binary friends who were asking if there were any not "made for men", and they have it in a bunch of colours and it's a bit cheaper than the Plow 2.0). I like it. It's mild but aggressive enough for me to get a perfectly close shave, and the comb helps give be visual feedback so I know I'm not pressing too hard.
Good points. I don’t shave my legs or arm pits, but from what I’ve seen it’s not a huge deal which razor you use for other body hair…maybe skip the straight razor in the southern region though 😂
My neck grows in a circular pattern so no matter what I end up shaving g against the grain for parts of it and I get terrible burn and some nicks. Currently using a disposable l, but I ordered a Henson mild that should be here Monday
My Rex Konsul XL was delivered yesterday. I plan on using it Monday morning before work. The only other de razor I’ve used is the Merkur 34C, it will be interesting to see if there’s any difference.
@@GregTardif It definitely is more defined than the 34c! I just have to figure out what blade I want to use with it, I’ve been using the feather blades.
Can anyone tell which is more mild between Manscaped and Parker 78r ? I have Parker 78r but I am looking for a little more mild razor in around 30$ for daily shave. Thank You.
Have you seen this Henson razor. Henson AL13 this thing is sexy! I’m about to pull on it here soon. Lifetime warranty if they stick around. They are saying it don’t clog 🤷♂️ but it’s sexy!
I’ve heard of them and everyone that owns one loves them. The weight kinda turns me off of picking one up. But who knows 🤷 one day I might have to pick it up
I agree you need try the Henson AL13 razor. It is one of my razors in my rotation. I found the lightness not a big problem the razor give a great shave.
@@Mike19663 thanks for the great review Mike. Not a huge fan of a light razor myself but definitely going to have to pick it up now. Glad I’m not the only one shaving with a beard 😂
I wouldn’t buy this razor with the “Manscaped” branding on the head. The whole manscaped shaving your b@lls thing is really weird to me. Maybe a generational thing. Looks like a DE89 head. Thanks for the video!
Thanks David. I understand where you are coming from. It’s definitely not a practice for everyone. It does have a similar look to the de89 head. A bit more blade reveal on this razor, however

Howdy Greg! I’ll never complain about seeing more and more gateway DE’s. If it grows the community, more power to them! 👊🏼🤠
Thanks for watching!! I concur
Now we need a review of the Manscaped Lawn Mower. With video of its use! 😬😬
😂😂😂
I'm digging for single edge content! looking forward to your thoughts on the twig/thorn!

Not a bad looking razor. 😁👍🏼

Yeah it’s totally trial and error with blades and different with every person and every razor
Thanks for the review Greg!

Shave slowly and carefully and don't go against the grain, just do 2 passes with the grain and use a preshave

I had the original Plow and it chewed me up. Am thinking of trying the Western Razor item. It seems to offer a better safety edge to avoid cuts.
