This is so beautiful and important. Thank you! We would love to see an annual Thule reed canoe celebration - with several canoes traveling the length of the Los Angeles River all the way down to Long Beach. What a beautiful way to remind us all of how much power there is in honoring the original people of this land and their current descendants.
Love the video. I did this for school but this type of thing has always been so interesting to me. I've also been to that museum it was very cool. Thank you!!
Just visited the painted cave yesterday, I was so intrigued about the Chumash people I wanted to learn more. That’s interesting what was said towards the end. Can water be reestablished ? Can we heal?
Please take the lone woman off your video. She is not Chumash. She has been my hero since I was 10 .Her story is still being told. The Nicolonians story is tragic. That is the only picture of her and the only picture of a Nicolonian Native.😢😢😢😢
Make me cry. What a beautiful moment to make that journey again after so long. ❤️
Thank you for listening to Chumash elders and for including the history of our museum in your video. A beautifully done video. Nice job Alan!

Love this! It goes perfectly with the local geography lessons I just did with my 4th graders. Will definitely share the video in the future.
It’s so important to get these stories out
