The guy was never questioned cause he said the right things and donated to the right causes and of course politicians. He played the culture and scammed tons of people.

Well said Saylor but it's high time people should start learning the difference between cryto and stock.Well with the economy and stocks at where it is now, I'd be disappointed if people weren't making any error on their portfolio at this time, it was much easier to navigate during the bullrun, regardless I still see and read articles of people pulling over $225k by the weeks in trades, how come?

All of these coins do nothing but allow people to take out fradulent loans and debt backed by literally nothing. All the loans and leverage to push bitcoin and eth to these prices literally have no cash flow or assets that could ever be paid back unless the price just goes up forever.
As long as you continue to think all coins are coins, you will miss out on the benefits of bitcoin.

Saylor advocating regulation means he has already been cut in by the regulators. Decentralization is already dead.
He means exchanges need to be regulated. BTC cannot be regulated by anyone, it's trustless, it separate from any entity. That's the whole point, government abuses money, BTC cures that.

But your average person is not tech savvy enough to write their own transactions or aquire BTC without these shady, already willingly regulated exchanges. Plus there's no point-of-sale system in place for daily purchases (of any crypto). Without this we are still at the mercy of corporations and governments to allow us to occasionally conduct high fee, tax reportable transactions. That's hardly decentralization.
It means he is only invested in what does not need regulation in the first place. And that everything else that does detracts from his own investment and ruins the reputation of the market he hopes to profit from and whose success would truly help people around the world and into the future. If you are saying decentralization is dead, you don't know anything about either crypto or bitcoin, probably fiat, and might be mixing them up together.

Only the computer nerds can use crypto to its true potential. And they are a tiny speck of the economy. I am disappointed but the fiat powers that be have won and squashed decentralization. Greedy exchanges didn't help.
Unless a simple to use point of sale system for decentralized PoW crypto is adopted by the greater economy, we will end up with CBDCs. I don't see any other realistic hope at this point (though I desperately want to).
Saylor invested heavily in Bitcoin at $31,000. How has he avoided bankruptcy? He was out there convincing all who would listen to invest heavily in Bitcoin when it was over $60,000. People have lost a very large amount of money following his advice.
A friend invested heavily in Bitcoin using FTX following advice given by this guy. He said don’t worry, I can claim a loss on his tax. Only to discover that he has insufficient transactions history to substantiate his purchases and subsequent loss.
Saylor invested heavily in Bitcoin sub $10,000 coins. His company micro strategy invested in the highs. Micro strategy would go bankrupt before Saylor himself would. And, I doubt that either of those bankruptcy’s come to fruition. I was always told “it’s only a loss if you sell”. And, I don’t think Saylor has any intention of selling BTC. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him add to his BTC holdings by years end.
Gripping multi - figures in crypto is possible with the right approach . no doubt crypto is volatile but we still have committed investors that are making passive income weekly and more monthly just trade with the right traders ...

The only people who need to trust Saylor are micro strategy investors. He is just one of many BTC maxis. Saylor could go bankrupt tomorrow (extremely unlikely) and it wouldn’t change the way maxis view BTC.

@@markpetty9206 Right now none of the exchanges are safe due to cascading side effects of multiple cryptocurrency companies and exchanges failing.
Self-custody for Bitcoin is much easier and safer than it used to be. Hardware wallets like BitBox02, and the steel plate seed backups will outlast even a nuclear war, just like how the Internet was designed to be.
A ledger would do the job if you don't need the convenience that comes with exchanges

I remember when I just got into crypto back in 2017 but later in 2018 I ended up selling it because I was dumb and I didn't understand it. I studied and learned and now I know how it works. Got back into crypto early in 2021 and looks like we have the same mentality, I admit that seeing a -50% hurts but it's not a realized loss until you sell. This has nothing to do with crypto. Because the exchange in question (and every other one) isn't decentralized. The issue here is how funds are managed and regulated.

I just watched a movie-documentary on Netflix called "Trust No One: The Hunt for The Crypto King", it's about a Canadian Crypto exchange called "QuadrigaCX" and it's founder Gerald Cotten (also knows as Jerry Cotten). This guy is just as bad as SBF, and there many parallels between Jerry Cotten (now supposedly deceased) and SBF. It's like SBF actually took the playbook of Jerry Cotten and made some tweaks. SBF's fraud was just on a much larger scale.

The exchanges have tried. Every exchange that has walked into the SEC has walked out with fines and lawsuits with no path forward for legal registration. I think the SEC was working with FTX to blow up the crypto market. Gary Gensler worked with a few people associated with FTX. The CFO of FTX used to work under Gary Gensler. The CEO of Alameda Research is the daughter of Gary's boss when he was at MIT.
