Looks like axle box carriers on the back of that truck. A bearing block sits in the square bit there will be powerful springs between the bearing and the carrier.

From Scorpion Audits video, learned National Rail is also responsible for constructing and maintaining many pedestrian bridges and crossings. They provide contact details to report rubbish so it can be cleaned up. If litter is reported to a local Council, they don't report it on to Network Rail nor inform the person to contact Network Rail.

As i said on yesterdays comments, due to DJ's popularity, he will get pestered by smaller channels to do co-labs, like having a dodgy work colleague that you don't really want to work with, but you can't keep not turning up for work lol... I feel for DJ, he must be in a really awkward position, there are plenty of clout chasers out there. Marty did it with Charles Veitch too. Won't stop me watching tho, they don't often co-lab 👍🏻

When I used to visit Holgate, the staff and security guys at were always amongst the most pleasant, effective and professional I'd come across.

Always enjoy your videos, especially when trains are involved. Interesting to hear different terminology, they called it a transverser but usually here in the US it is called a transfer table (similar to the turntable you mentioned).
Trains and track are endlessly fascinating. 😊
Thinking about it DJ, this video is a collectors item as there are only about two passenger trains a day go along that section of track (only Lumo), nearly all passenger trains go through York station.

Hi DJ. the rails are used for a moving deck called a traverser which will move the trains along to the different workshops you can see. so the train will move onto the deck. then the traverser will move to the set of tracks to go in the next workshop. the items on the van are used in the breaking system
This is the only right channel to do it, keep up the good work!

Hi DJ we watch in our clubhouse here in newyork we like your channel but who,s the guy youve teamed up with seem a bit like joe biden .
A guy local to me used to post drone vids of railway developments nearby. One day somebody claiming to be from Network Rail posted in his comments very angrily about him flying over the west coast main line (he was nowhere near the wires). Network Rail guy started asking for his details and making threats about what would happen if he didn't remove the footage. Unfortunately the channel got spooked by it and deleted all of his drone vids and has never posted again. I really enjoyed them too! This is why it's important we have people like DJ sticking up for their rights.
They must think when they say your not allowed to do that.they think you will say ok and walk away.more fool them thank you DJ x

Was wondering, when does air space start, is it literally anything above the ground, for example a centimetre above the ground, is that considered airspace, or is it defined by building height or some other arbitrary measurement?
Under 249 g any height but you have to be aware of privacy laws and of course safety and respect. Most will stay roof height or above remember line of site and the pilots responsibility to not cause issues. So I reckon if it came to a court case like the farmer who took an pilot to court. It was found that below roof height was unreasonable and videoing windows to see inside was against privacy laws or something like that😊
