Dimebag was murdered here.
@Rosemarie McKinley no he wasnt. This is in reading, pa
I know at least one of those murders was actually in the parking lot. The parking lot was known to be really bad. I grew up hearing stories about this place and know a lot of people who have been there.
Just subscribed to him, been meaning to check out his channel for a while now. Thanks to Jay for telling you about this gem.
@@chadstoudt2580 When did Reading get so bad? Was watching a hiking channel & he was up by the Pagoda & you could hear audible gun shots! When we were kids in the 70’s my parents would hit those outlets. WTH happened?
This channel is so niche yet SO entertaining. I really appreciate that you care about the history of the places you go, and preserving it. Happy Thursday man
Never thought id see a mobile instinct video start off with CKY. I love CKY!
Yessssss
Great band!
They suck
Right 👏👏
Me too ❤
There used to be a huge rock club just outside Hartford that went by many different names during its lifetime, the West Hartford Agora being the most commonly known one. Over the years it hosted many big-time performers such as Santana, Elvis Costello, The Ramones, Jerry Garcia, Peter Gabriel, many others. It closed in 1990 after a group of vandals, no one knows how many as they were never caught, broke in at night and completely destroyed the interior with chainsaws.
Typical for disgusting Hartford
@@bernielomaxsmustache7204 It was a short distance over the line into West Hartford, which is much nicer.
Growing up in NJ during the 70-80’s there were lots of big clubs like this. Saw lots of 80’s bands
I knew the owner of that club. He used to own the Night Owl in Wolcott. I remember seeing Cyndi Lauper, 38 Special and many more. The owner lived next store to me in Wolcott. My brother used to park the cars at Night Owl. Last time I saw him he was living up by Storrs and UCONN. So many great memories of my childhood. That club was called Agora Ballroom
@@TugIronChief Buuuut...the 90s rock was still on top. Why not just sell the damn thing?
Looks cleaner than a lot of bars that are still open!
If you’re near NY, Letchworth Village was an insane asylum that was closed many many years ago. I grew up near there and we spent many nights as teenagers exploring the buildings.
Scary, did you feel the wretched energy of the forgotten souls?
@@guynorth3277 I’ve been everywhere in that place and I’ve never felt anything bad. It’s supposedly haunted because tons of people died and there are a bunch of secret rooms with medical equipment where they did experimentations on the patients, but I’ve never experienced anything.
@@cerena; I just wondered if a focussed, receptive person who was interested might pick up some old energy, not that such things should even exist, just mildly curious.
@@guynorth3277 And it does not exist. You can stop searching.
@@schumifannreins295; Little that you know!
There are so many shootings in and around nightclubs, that it takes time to find mention of those more than a decade ago. Usually only the "Pulse" attack is mentioned. Then there are arson attacks against nightclubs which are so numerous that one has to be more specific to find information about one.
First one that comes to mind for me is always Dimebag Darrel’s murder
Night clubs should be banned then.......
@@michaelvoorhees5978 Are you really that dense?
@@Alongfortheride693 yep I own 9 and 6 have burned for this reason in the last 3 years
All of that equipment hanging from the trusses attached to the ceiling is worth a ridiculous amount of money and I'm super surprised it's still hanging up there. Also a lot of the controllers, amps, speakers, etc.. I think that now that this video is out someone will see those and they will be gone very quickly. That's the downside of stuff like this. Is that the locations that have been so far untouched don't last long after videos are made of them, but it is what it is. The people that owned it just left them there for some stupid reason, so it's on them for not putting them in a safe location or selling them themselves. Awesome video though, thanks for sharing it with us!
Wow it’s amazing how intact this place still is after being closed for a decade. I read up on it and it seemed like all of the shootings and homicide took place in the parking lot after the club let out. But the place had a lot of well known performers like Faith No More, French Montana, CKY, and more. The place is huge looking.
The DA closed it down for being a nuisance bar, and it looks like they’ve done the same with other bars/clubs in the state as well. I mean, I don’t blame them - one shooting is bad enough.. but two? Yikes. The owner tried to defend that because it took place in the parking lot, they had no control over what people did once they left the club.
For a while in the early 2000s, they made traditional tube tv’s with a flat screen, but they weren’t actual flat screens as we know them now. That’s probably what those were
How is this place in such good shape still being abandoned that long. There's like barely any vandalism at all. That's crazy to see in an abandoned building for sure.
For real. The place looks like it was abandoned yesterday. Crazy.
💯💯💯
Those convoluted, confusing club layouts always make me shudder since it led to so many fatalities in the Station club fire.
Was that the one Great White played at? That was so horrible man!!
Looks like it was a cool place back in the day. Stay safe.
Chris, I appreciate all your videos. Whether it is hot or cold I enjoy watching all your videos.
Thanks!
Whoa, Ramones played there? Hallowed ground!
it is amazing how much you find that was left behind, it would haunt me to leave so much undone
3:55. Rake Yohn's worst nightmare right there.
Haha! That and period blood!
It's in Reading, 2017 Bernville Rd, in case anyone else cares to visit
Seen this video and got excited! Thought you were visiting the Alrosa villa in Columbus where Dimebag Darrel was killed! It was permanently closed a couple years ago!
That sounds like it would be cool to check out
Same :(
The Alrosa villa was demolished on December 8, 2021.
The fridge , the goonies 😂😂 my favourite movie 🎥
Thanks for the series in Hawaii
Chris! 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Jay!
Feel so bad for him. Hawaii to Reading at 10 degrees poor baby
I used to go to this club back in the mid 90s and 2000s. Yes there was violence. Yes there were drugs. Hell, I did some there. There was also great music. At the time Reading didn't have as many options for music venues and this place fit the need. The last time i was there was new years eve 2011.
What was the name of this place?
Come to Florida, it is in the 80’s during the day here, too. Love your videos. Keep up the great work.
Glad to see that Chris perhaps took my-and others'--suggestion about the Ramones who we used to see in Dover, NJ. Sad to say, the Dunes of Somers Point NJ was the go-to place to see late-night fights that often resulted in homicide back in the late 1970s. And yet so many Jersey clubs kept the lid on all the ugly stuff and remained fun venues.
Remember Mothers in Wayne & Joint in the Woods in Parsippany
That was awesome. It is so preserved. Glad to know you are back safe off the island. I wouldn't want to come after going. Or plan to be back in May. Thanks for the cool video.
Cool trip down memory lane with this one. Loads of good bands used to come thru this place back in the day. Also really enjoyed a bunch of your other videos, cheers!
Yes finally back to the kind of videos I enjoy from you mobile!
i would love to your take on the hopewell furnace in struthers ohio. it can be accessed from whetmore st following yellow creek. dont miss the wind blown sandstone formation and the stone bridge used for a giant water pipe feeding the steel mils.
I can't believe someone left that car there. What a shame!
Thanks for sharing. I can always count on this channel for interesting & quality content. Keep up the great wrk!
Thank you! Always love your videos ❤️
That's so cool Chris. I don't remember hearing about that place in the news.
Thank you for sharing the history of the places you visit
Lol, I was just listening to CKY this morning!
I saw Clutch and Viking Skull (and another band that's slipping my mind atm) here in probably 2009/10.
I never heard about this club until now. I always learn something new with your videos Chris, keep up the great work.
IAN HERE!! I hope you had lots of fun back at the Hawaiian Islands my friend. Anyways, I did NOT want to know about this nightclub having dark histories about violence!!! Man!! I wonder what's next on your list man. Anyways, take care my friend.
Looks like a badass venue.
WELCOME BACK CHRIS..glad your cold but safe..exploring...i'm in Florida..Gainesville..come on down for a few degrees warmer....and now i shall go look up some "WINK"!!
I used to live there
Sad seeing all these places that were once full of live reduced to this.
Another great video Chris greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪
Sounds like a typical bar in my neighborhood or the Southside where I'm from. Gotta love PA shit gets crazy here.
That place looks like it was a disaster waiting to happen. With so many twists and turns and miscellaneous rooms, if fire ever had broken out, escape would have been difficult if not impossible. Where in PA is this? Just curious as I'm from PA myself.
Me too. I wonder where this club was!. I'm from PA and was a musician myself for a while, but closer to Pittsburgh than Philly.
Not sure if he wants the location to be known. It could lead to more vandalism. I was able to figure it out though and I’m not even from the area.
Yes
I recently read Trial by Fire about the 2003 Rhode Island nightclub fire where 100 people died. It was far more horrifying than any horror fiction ever written.
It’s in Reading. I grew up about 45 mins from here. It was a dangerous place for sure!
Hi Chris, what a shame, you could make that into a really nice place again although the clientele would have to go up a notch lol.
I loved the sound effect of the soda fizzing in the outro, awesome. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx ❤
Outkast....ms. Jackson. Great song
Great vid , but one things for sure...you guys need a LOT better lighting jf you're gonna keep going thru these dark places- BE SAFE!!!
Place is so huge it just sucks up the light.

Welcome back to cold. Goonies is one of the best movies ever made next to Indiana Jones. Keep Exploring.
My parents had that model cadillac when I was little. It ran like it was brand new when my parents got from my grandparents.
Enjoyed this Chris. Many thanks 👍👊🇬🇧🇺🇸
A-ha! Researched and just found out what venue this is. I forgot about this place. I was never here, but I remember hearing radio ads for upcoming shows here. Damn; didn't know this happened and that the place is closed. A lot of big acts came through this place. Wheatus --- "Teenage Dirtbag', right?
Great find.... After seeing those vinyl 12's you viewed, I had to go and hear what Wink - Sixth Sense sounds like... 2009 and ermmm... we'll leave it there !
wow you back from warm hawaii, now PENN, now so cold, crazy story. thankyou, abandoned places again, cool beans, stay warm.
Two kinds of mustard? Pretty fancy.
Always, Guldens & Frenches
I always look forward to your videos. Thank you
Just found out the name of this place and where it is. After reading an article on it, I'm not surprised at all it was shut down. Should have been shut down even earlier. Definitely a fire hazard and poorly designed.
Lucky there weren’t more deaths
Creepy dark place with evil vibes. Stay toasty. 🙀
Someone should save the old car. I wonder why it was just left there?
Great Video as always, Sir. 👍🏻.
Hold up? Lol this place looks familiar. I used to dj in Pennsylvania way back from 94-2000. If this is in reading outside of Kutztown, I think I spun here before once. That’s nuts… it’s been so long. But it really looks familiar
You can almost hear the noise in that place.
Can you imagine the smell of cigs & stall beer ugh
Great video. I have been there and watched CKY play. Cool stuff
I was at that CKY CONCERT!!. Got drunk with Bam Margera and his Dad.
Where is this club? In Westchester?

Happy u made back love u n your videos 😍😀💚💜💙
I saw Whratus a few years ago (2018/19?) with Mike Doughty. They had label issues and lineup changes but still exist.
I bet this place ROCKED! 🤟
Someone should do a video on the White House when it was rebuilt in 1948 -1952 would be a good video
Casting couch 😂😂 it’s probably full of “happy tracks “ too. 😉
Bam his mother and father are on stage pretty cool
A Valencia sticker. My friends loved them in 2005. Cky… ahh I love Philly I love PA.
surprising scappers havent taken everything
That was a nearly video ... someone aught to sequester that caddy and file for a lost title. Great walk through.
Would you ever come to Kansas to check things out?
You’re little way of advertising your merch is adorable.😉
What club is this? Everything in the description almost sounds like Crocodile Rock Cafe in Allentown, which closed around that time. Saw many concerts there, including Great White one week prior (2/13/2003) to the Station nightclub fire, which was 2/20/2003. Although I believe Croc Rock is now demolished. I always knew CKY was from around this area.
No it's not Crocodile Rock
No it's not Crocodile Rock
CKY is from Westchester PA
Crazy, you're so close to where i live!
The mountain drink@ 6:30 is probably still good.
Wow your channel is doing really well!
Generic soda??? Just to imagine what they sell to people in bars
True definition of a time capsule
Those TVs looked like the DLP projection type of TV.
That place looks like a death trap
Another gem!
Creepy in there,guys
Looks like a very evil place and good thing it was shut down.
My man said FAT JOE. "I'm not the man with sensitivity
The name is Fat Joe, the label's Relativity, huh"
Where in PA is this, near Westchester? Only ask because of the CKY
Some of those rooms were pool table rooms you could rent them by the hour.
Be careful in haunts like this!!!!-- Crackhead’s still occasionally hang in those places! Mr. Ruger’ is a good companion to take along 🇺🇸
Not a nice place, but nowhere near as bad as the place in Ohio where Dimebag Darrell was blown away on stage by a demented lunatic, and then himself pulverized by a cop with a shotgun..life is very sad.
Just watched the video and relized what this place was.
What was the name of the club and where in PA was it?
Very cool.
That is an awesome place
You need to dub in low volume Disco music to the background... 🤣
7:14 You edited this part, did you walk on car to get to the front? 😃 there’s literally no room to get there!
Love your video, definitely better than someone else that did this video.
OK will someone name the town and what this place was called in its heyday for those of us who aren’t from wherever this is?? Please?!
Looks like a great hang out though
I bet that place so was entertaining back when banda play. Now it’s like sad because it’s not used and a lot of those band’s members are gone.
Love this channel and I love CKY
