Great tip with the zip ties! I can't believe I didn't know that! - I've saved a few quads with paracord too, a half filled plastic water bottle makes a decent stand-in for an arborist's weight if you don't have a spare flying machine to carry the line.

For zip ties I use a hobby knife or tiny screwdriver to lift the ratchet tab and release the tie - no length is sacrificed :D
