Loved the video Aaron . It must be wonderful to see how people do the same type of work in different countries and different continents; quite interesting to see the differences and similarities so close-up. Thank you to the companies who invite you to come and film! It is also 'work' for them! Much appreciated!
Aaron, You've earned your success and access to the finest construction and mining equipment in the world. Keep in mind that there are many people envious of your work and what seems to be effortless success. As a person who's coached world class athletes for the last 46 I know that your kind of success did not come without hard work and personal sacrifice.
For bigger repairs, often a truck with knuckleboom is sent to site to deal with heavy parts. And here in europe nearly every bigger contractor has service contracts or strict service plans in place to prevent breakdowns as much as possible
Meanwhile here in Australia our builders chuck the chop saw in the skip bin at the end of jobs and bury the scrap…. Our building methods are shabby too, no zip sheathing or the like even available on the market. Just throw another air con at it if it’s too hot/cold. Someone save us.
The only thing more wild than the equipment is the operator being able to afford a doctor. Europe is truly amazing to my 3rd world country. Blessing from the S.E.U.S.
Healthcare is mandatory in switzerland so every one can afford even without a job... And these operators ar earning probably 7 to 10'000$ a month the team leaders even more👌🏼 im from Zurich Switzerland😉
Thank you for featuring our Egli hydraulic magnet and concrete crusher in this awesome video! Eberhard is truly on a whole different level when it comes to demolition. They are always a pleasure to work with. 😌
Great video!! You’d have to be kinda jealous of the Swiss AND Eberhand BECAUSE they’re just soo efficient AND good!! That recycling center looks sooo cool! Think I’ll apply for a job there 😂😂
G'day Aaron, Hi from Australia. I really love your channel, and many thanks to all the guys in the background who help you make these cool videos. Have you done any videos in Italy or other parts of the Old World.
@ I think they’re biggest project so far was the demolition of the coal power plant in Lünen (Germany) And for that they built the Kiesel KMC 1600S demolition excavator.
for anyone who wonders how much something like this cost just like every major corporate construction company they leverage monopoly and insider bidding for these type of jobs so it doesn't matter. for example the F1 track in las vegas who was paved by las vegas paving corporation they have people sitting in both the company and public government positions who elect the contractor.
Very sophisticated operation. I don't even want to know what it costs to have them demolish something. I love the quick connect hydraulic oil fittings, I gotta get those for my machines. Thanks Aaron I enjoyed it.
Can you show us viewers how our country does the same thing, it be an interesting comparison. Great work on your video and thanks for sharing your passion.
Every time I watch one of your videos i feel you could very easily take over dirty jobs for Mike Rowe and you would be a perfect fit. And it’s not that you remind me of him, it’s just I think you do a great job at what you do and your great in front of a camera and I think you could do it just as good as he did.
Thanks for sharing, Aaron! Would've loved to hear more about how those robots identify materials - are they using normal cameras, infrared, xray, spectral cameras, spectroscopy, or something else entirely?
I have a friend to manages a very tall hotel in South Florida, The guest regularly ask what those mountains are in the distance.... Trash, giant mountains of trash
Very nice reporting and excellent photo! Based on the infected debate among firefighters regarding helmets (traditional US versus European style).. do you have any thoughts on the different types of helmets for construction? As a European I tend to think the brimmed US helmets are cool but still like the ability to attach hearing protection and visors when needed.
I think the KASK helmets are the best because of their foam liner that provides a crumple zone instead of the traditional straps. I had a logging accident where a limb fell on my head. The straps on the helmet I wore broke and I suffered some fractures of a facial bone and the skull. I got KASK helmet afterwards.
How do we lift stuff if theses no cranes on the service truck? Well usually theses more than one machine on sight… And for smaller stuff loaders and excavators can make pretty good cranes 😅
In Switzerland many three axle dumptrucks are able to put on a hiab crane in the back if needed and also can park it up. It has a quick connection takes you about 5minutes to install and uninstall, they are often used for smaller lifting jobs.
Service Vans are great to fix all the smaller daily issues. As soon as you need a crane or heavy welding, you need specialized and trained crane operators and welders anyway, so they will come with theyr own vehicles. You are not even allowed to drive a forklift in Switzerland for any commercial application without proper forklift training and certifications.
So, are there Swiss regulations that require them to try and recycle materials? Does the government offer subsidies or some sort of tax break or other incentive for them to do it? I imagine this must be quite the costly thing to get started.
We have some landfills but it‘s way to expensive to dump everything there so you try tho sort as much as posible tho make some mony with the sorted material
Pretty sure they have storage piles outside of the recycling factory where they can quickly dump large amounts of waste from a job site as a buffer, so the robots can keep on sorting while demolition needs to stop because of the noise.
Vans are commonly used in all sorts of commercial and service work in the US as well. Trucks in the US set up for service work generally have boxes, cabinets, etc. to store things in. With the open cargo area and a crane on a service truck, you can easily lift large parts and set them on the truck for transport.

Switzerland takes recycling extremely seriously! 💪♻️
Oh yea, no single frank remains unused. Or dollar. Or Euro. Or whatever.

Could be a work doctor. ITs a doctor thats hired just for employees
Healthcare is mandatory in switzerland so every one can afford even without a job... And these operators ar earning probably 7 to 10'000$ a month the team leaders even more👌🏼 im from Zurich Switzerland😉
Well done, Aaron! We need to see more on the recycling as this is going to be a huge opportunity moving forward for the construction industry.
Welcome to my home country👊🏼 Love all the Eberhard content🚀
Nice video, Aaron. Thanks for sharing and have a great day.
thank you!
Great content on heavy machinery!
Thank you for featuring our Egli hydraulic magnet and concrete crusher in this awesome video! Eberhard is truly on a whole different level when it comes to demolition. They are always a pleasure to work with. 😌
they're great tools!!!
Greets from Bern Switzerland. Nice video with big machines
thanks for watching!

Hagedorn‘s gonna have a word with you about that title 😂😂😂
whoopsie
Hagedorn, the fullliner in industrial dismantling, demolition and recycling. Even in wind turbine building and dismantling.
@@AaronWitt So you gone visit Hagedorn? Goated company that does it all, they don't just demolish they are smart and develop their own properties too.
@ I think they’re biggest project so far was the demolition of the coal power plant in Lünen (Germany) And for that they built the Kiesel KMC 1600S demolition excavator.

That Sennebogen
Full turn around on recycling. From old to new. 👍
The last water gun guy was way better than the first guy lol
I hope you visited Aregger AG company also in Switzerland.
we did but the AREX wasn't working when we were there sadly
No the european service van's are nearly always the same size as the one in this video, the smaller van's are usually used for parts delivery.
yay Aaron is finally uploading in 4k 🎉🎉🎉
Nice work yall
Where is your Eberhard sticker on your helmet? 😂🤪
3:30 there’s nothing like it
It would be cool if you could do a video on track operations during a race at the freedom factory
Hello Aron. Have a look at the A-Rex of the
Aregger company from Switzerland. A monster demolition excavator based on the Liebherr 9800.
No, the A-Rex is a Liebherr R9150 whith Liebherr R9200 undercarriage.
@ Sorry, I made a mistake, you're right of course
@@tiger955mi66 No problem.

How about a documentation about Sennebogen? 😁 They have a NA branch too. 😉

thank you very much I appreciate that
Funny I didn’t go to Switzerland for any of those things you mentioned 🤔
Great video thanks
its cool that they recycle the metal
Pro tip:
Never tell your wife or mother you’re fabricating a blast shield for your excavator.
😁
Bro went to the doctors and came back to work. What a chad

Sometimes paperwork is the most important part of the job

Holy crap that crusher weighs as much as a cat 306!!
Isn’t Arregger a noter Swiss company?
yes
All i can say is the Excavator Driver is Albanian 🇦🇱
How do we lift stuff if theses no cranes on the service truck?
Well usually theses more than one machine on sight…
And for smaller stuff loaders and excavators can make pretty good cranes 😅
they'll call in a small crane when needed
@ obviously 😂
In Switzerland many three axle dumptrucks are able to put on a hiab crane in the back if needed and also can park it up. It has a quick connection takes you about 5minutes to install and uninstall, they are often used for smaller lifting jobs.
Right, so when one machine is down, you need to stop another machine to use it to help fix the broken one.
Service Vans are great to fix all the smaller daily issues. As soon as you need a crane or heavy welding, you need specialized and trained crane operators and welders anyway, so they will come with theyr own vehicles. they have no landfills so they have to
We have some landfills but it‘s way to expensive to dump everything there so you try tho sort as much as posible tho make some mony with the sorted material
Landfills are a very short-sided decision, in terms of a society
0:51 Switzerland and Albanian flags
I guess with construction/demolition in the USA equipment looks big & inefficient….
Great work aaron
So imagine calling a 336 a little guy. I wonder what happens to all the water they spray, carrying who knows what materials.
Amazing machinery. Imagine how they will look like in 30-40years.. Probably fully AI controled on the site, 0% human risk.
Can that facility deal with the amount of waste that the demolition of a full big building will produce ?
Those robots seemed really slow.
But they work 24/7, and the bulk of the waist is being sorted directly on site
Pretty sure they have storage piles outside of the recycling factory where they can quickly dump large amounts of waste from a job site as a buffer, so the robots can keep on sorting while demolition needs to stop because of the noise.
💪🇨🇭💪👍
These guys are working fast, they are really CRUSHING it! 😁😁😁
Knowing those 'crazy' europeans, they probably demolish from the bottom up. 😛
The crazy part if that some buildings are demolished that way. High rise buildings, in city centers... "Kajima Cut and take down method".
Vans >>> trucks. Trucks are for towing/hauling not storing stuff
Vans are commonly used in all sorts of commercial and service work in the US as well. Trucks in the US set up for service work generally have boxes, cabinets, etc. to store things in.
