It always amazed me how these cars. would hit or sideswipe other cars but, at the end of the chase, PRESTO CHANGO they're back to being in emaculate, pristine condition. AMAZING.
Im really starting to hate these new films because of them Destroying car’s like this.Seriously there’s got to be a better way to get the shot than to destroy cars like that. that are never going to be reproduce again
@@thepropview9517 You realize that most modern films use stunt cars that are either built from reproduction sheet metal on top of a modern chassis. Like how the stunt chargers for the modern DOH movie were shells welded to crown vics. OR they use cars that could legally never be put back on the road again, and tart them up enough to look the part long enough to crash.
I bet Paul Glaser loved that shot where the Gran Torino goes airborne and the front end buckles. Because he has publicly stated that he hated that car. Which is why he kept slamming it into the curbs when they were filming the TV show in the ‘70’s.
Jumping 1/24 Model Cars in real Life is Still Fun as an Adult because of Dukes & many other Car Shows & Movies, even working on replicas in real life its not like You can go jump em haha
And this is why you cant find the grill of a 74-76 Torino, Ranchero. Or bumpers, fenders, hoods for that matter. This dumb remake wrecked so many cars that if you have one, its worth so much you cant afford to drive it. Hollywood at its finest. Wrecking culture since the 30s
Jeremy Huggins always hard to say it, but tbh the car wouldn’t be a classic if it weren’t for this movie and the tv show crashing them and getting all the awesome stunt shots. At least they didn’t treat them like the dukes of hazard treated chargers and destroyed most of the chargers in existence.
melc311 I haven’t seen more than maybe 10 since I learned of their existence that have the same specs as this one. I guess people are backstocking them somewhere
Hollywood hates classic cars.
It’s because they know how much newer cars suck.
Planned obsolescence doesn’t do them justice!
But do they get a new one yea
No it's the only thing guys watch these movies for is the vehicles and that's what sells the movies that have classic cars in them.

heat treated steel
Hollywood !
I guess you don't know the term stunt car
The MAGIC of Hollywood …
The suspension! Lord have mercy!
That jump, that's exactly like what happened to the General Lee so many times...
Classic cars are NOT designed for that kind of stunt.

@@skeletal-kc8877 None of the GL's used in The DOH movie were crown vics. They were all real Chargers.

Starsky & Hutch Police Car Is A 1976 Ford Gran Torino
Tv cars were 74 75 76
I was told PAUL HATED THAT CAR 🚗..I believe they wanted a GM product but not sure ..Paul actually wanted to wreck it every chance he got 😮
Well he showed up at an all Ford day and was doing rides so obviously doesn't hate it as much as he used to.I love the Gran Torino.
Name of this song please
Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith
If you have an iPhone, while the song is playing ask SIRI who sings this song. She will tell you the name and artist
How an A-List stunt crew fudged the J-turn amazes me . That's a basic move .
are we sure it is a 76 and not a 74?
the movie used a 76..the show started with 2 75s.. then used 74s 75s and 76s
The creepiest movie ever done.
What why wtf its a todd philips comedy
It's hilarious

😂😂😂
Terrible movie.
Dude that front end tho
I always thought the mid 70s Gran Torino's were cool looking. Regardless of the bad wrap about them.
Sure, it wasnt the prettiest gran torino, but thrashing it like that sure got me mad
Yeah, that car was not designed for jumping.
0:09 was taken on my street
Its a 74 ford Gran Torino
No it is not, thats a '76
@@moviecars8792 Starsky drove a 1974 thru 1976 Gran Torino. The pilot and 1st season was 1975. 76 wasnt out yet.

I hope those was not the real classic car hope they was made just for the show
@kris4408 They did. It was actually 10 perfectly beautiful classic Gran Torinos that the filmmakers shamelessly destroyed.
