- You guys, we've had such a crazy week! We decided to join a #sorority at Baylor, and #recruitment week was super INTENSE! In this recruitment video, you'll see EXACTLY what joining a sorority was like for us from Day 1, to #BidDay. Would y’all ever join a sorority??

We couldn't film the entire recruitment process, obviously, because some of the meetings contained private and super special traditions that are confidential to each sorority. So out of respect to them all, we filmed the activities surrounding the week to give you a sneak peek into what recruitment is like, including Bid Day!
At #Baylor University, there are several rules during recruitment week that everyone takes very seriously. One of the main ones being that you can't talk to anyone (even your friends) who have already gone through recruitment, or are already in a sorority. This is so that your experience with each sorority is as unbiased and organic as possible, with everyone ultimately choosing the one that feels the most right for them.
There are different activities going on each day of the recruitment week, and each day is PACKED with things to do! It was so much fun, but seriously very exhausting! 😅 Throughout the week, you basically meet with every different sorority and narrow down to which groups you click with the most. Each day, the sororities decide if they want to invite you back for the next day to get to know your further, and you also personally decide which sororities you want to move forward with, eliminating those you aren't interested in. Combining those two lists will determine your meetings for the next day.
You guys, this process was SO difficult! We loved so many things about each of the sororities, so making cuts each day was seriously tough. You really just have to go with your gut when it comes to this, otherwise you’ll just never be able to make a decision! 🙈
Bailey & I decided to not tell each other which sororities we liked and disliked throughout the week, because we wanted to each choose what felt right to us (even if it meant ending up in different sororities). This was the hardest part of the week BY FAR, because we always tell each other everything!
Some of the sororities we met with were as follows:
Alpha Delta Pi (A D Pi)
Alpha Chi Omega (A Chi O)
Chi Omega (Chi O)
Delta Delta Delta (Tri Delta)
Kappa Alpha Theta (Theta)
Kappa Kappa Gamma (Kappa)
Pi Beta Phi (Pi Phi)
Zeta Tau Alpha (Zeta)
Bid Day was SUPER nerve-racking, but Bailey & I are SO happy with our decision!! We both received and accepted bids from our own individual top sorority choices, and we are over the moon about it!
This was one of the most exhausting weeks of our lives, but also one of the most fun and memorable. I can’t wait to make tons of new memories with my new sorority sisters! Gurls, love the sisterhood! But first… time for a nap. 😴

How they talk about sorority reminds me about the movie “Sidney white”!!!😂😂
Same! I love that movie
That was filmed at my college! My sister was actually an extra in it, she was on screen multiple times! Cool to know people are still watching it!
that was such a great movie omg
me & my sister ended up joining the same sorority too😂 we weren’t telling eachother during recruitment which one we liked, and ended up on at the same one
I love how they didn’t know it at the time but they liked the same ones during the video haha if that makes sense
Great video! I’ve been following y’all since the beginning so so proud!!
I have watched A LOT of sorority recruitment videos and this is the best one I've seen!! So detailed and so fun
Congratulations sisters! Go Chi O!
I love your COLLEGE videos, love you girls so much 💗💕🤗🇵🇱
i'm always interested in videos about recruitment at state schools/schools with a more traditional "American college" experience, because i was in a Panhellenic sorority at GW but GW is a very liberal, rich kid, city school and our Greek life is soooo different from Greek life at like, for example, Arizona State lol. no regrets for me! congrats guys!
This was crazy how they picked the same exact things!
Aw congrats guys! so exciting
This is the exact sorority that I want to join at my school and I’m so excited.
Where's the notification squad ?
P.s I'm a youtuber 💜👍😊
This video is twin telepathy being confirmed
OMG really?!?! Do you really think that they didnt talked about it between them.
@@kksigurn I'm pretty sure they didn't, they even said they wouldn't talk about it with each other until bid day.
I also have a twin sister and it’s actually hard to keep things secret, even if we agree to not tell each other
twin telapathy!!!
Also the fact that they grew up in the same environment and do almost everything together. They have a lot of same preferences
Ahh we are sorority sisters!! Congrats in joining Chi O! I'm in Chi Omega at University of Oregon LICO ♥️

I love u kiara
Love you queen
Wtf u ruined it your comment was so high I saw it even though I didn’t want too
omg this is so exciting !! I'm in Chi Omega at UC Berkeley :)
It’s so weird how they can’t call you by your name it almost seems rude
It's a weird rule. That didn't exist at the University I went to. We used names.
It definitely is strange. That was not a rule at my university. But my university was so small that you probably knew some of the girls in the different sororities anyway. Also the whole no talking to any affiliated girls is definitely odd. During recruitment we were told that you cannot give potential new members advice on which sorority they pick or express opinions about the other sororities.
It’s probably hard for them to keep up with all of those girls
I had never heard that at any other colleges or from any of the girls I was in college with. I would be interested to know why that rule would exist, or whether these girls misunderstood what they were told about differentiating themselves from others with their outfits. I have noticed different rules throughout a lot of these videos. For instance, between parties, most girls will go back to their room or do whatever they want, while at one school the girl mentioned they all had to go to one building and sit in silence until all the parties were done.
It’s not true, I go to the same school and a lot of rumors go around before recruitment so they were just saying something false, every sorority has slideshows with your picture and name on it😂
Can we take a moment to appreciate Bailey’s hair??!!

Joseph Kiernan definitely
That’s so exciting! I actually know a few of the girls in your sorority because they were my camp counselors and my brother goes to baylor!! I know Anna Joy and Kat!!
I was thinking the SAME THING!!!
Anyone else still confused on how this works?

some sororities are actually international and have chapters in the UK, Canada, or probably other countries throughout Europe.
My sorority experience in college was bad, so please stay true to yourselves and stay friends with girls not in your sorority as well!
Hannah McCullough I’m British what’s a sorority? I’ve watched this entire vid and still don’t have a clue 😂
@@charlottehill2590 a sorority is basically a group of college women that do events like charity and sisterhood. it's basically a way to make friends except you have to be chosen and pay for it. Can you guys do a video explaining what a sorority really does? We dont have that where i love. Thank you!!
Natalia da Silva yeah I don’t know what it is
Natalia da Silva search it on google
Same! I’m clueless...
Yea, I don’t understand what a sorority is lol
I'm not from the US but I hope you understand my way of explaining it without really living this reality. So, a Sorority is kind of a family of girls who meet in college. In a university there are lots of sororities, and they are represented by the letters of the greek alphabet. In a person's freshman year in college, girls can rush for a sorority, and boys for a fraternity (it's optional), and once they get into their desired sorority or fraternity, they become a big happy old "family" (this has been a thing for centuries in the US now). It's kind of an interesting concept, except for when of course the person doesn't get in the one they want. But sorry, I'm curious, where are you from? "Da Silva" is a portuguese last name very common here in Brazil.
Congrats!! I just wanted to put here that bid day is not always a happy experience for everyone and a lot of people experience a lot of disappointment- and that’s okay! I know this video makes it seem like it’s all happy and it’s okay if that’s not how you feel, but you can still love where you end up even if it wasn’t your top choice 💕
Kathryn Mueller does every girl at least get a bid from somewhere?
Kaitlin Donmoyer yes if they follow the rules, but that doesn’t mean you’ll end up in the one you liked best
Kaitlin Donmoyer not necessarily. Even if they follow the rules, some girls do get cut from recruitment and don't get a bid at all. It happened to me my freshmen year and got cut before the 3rd round. I tried again my sophomore year and found my home. It can be pretty cutthroat and competitive sometimes.
Ilana Pinsky it depends on your school! Like Kathryn said above, my school and a lot of schools guarantee a bid from one if you follow the rules. But it just depends where you go
@@jofunk8392 Where did you go to school? I am very curious because there are always women from other small non SEC schools that still don't get bids regardless. That's great if a bid is always guaranteed, but I have just never heard that happening before.
I attend university in england. We study and aim for good grades. That's it.
Hi, so actually, if you knew anything about Greek life at all, you would know it's everything about sisterhood and women supporting women and finding success and achieving your goals with the support of every one of your sisters right there behind you. Academics and character are such a huge part of being in a sorority! So please educate yourself before you speak so lowly about something you know nothing about! Thanks 😊😊
ah ah ah ah
How boring. We study, make good grades, build connections with alumni across the Greek community to help with job offers AND have a great time at college
Victoria Parkinson most sane people do this in the states to, this video shouldn’t accurately depict all American students, I’m in college and my experience definitely is not as shallow as this video shows
Lucky happy Hi, so actually, no I don't know anything about it, never mentioned it in my comment so there was no "speaking lowly" about it. Thanks
That’s some insane twin telepathy...good luck this semester you guys 💕
haha twin telepathy confirmed
Am I the only one that doesn’t know what a sorority is?
Eva Be I’m not quite sure but I think it a popular college club thing
Ella’s World It’s a group of girls who live together and do activities together at some American universities. The male version is a fraternity.
You pay an outrageous amount of money usually somewhere around 10 thousand dollars per year to make friends basically. They have events and that sort of thing. It's really a waste of money. You can make friends and go to parties, events, help with charitable organizations etc without being in a sorority.
violetrae TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS?!!! Wow those friends better be good

Who else was anxious for Brooklyn and Bailey the whole video??? 😣🥵🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️
This is a genuinely dumb process i live in the U.S. My older sister is apart of a sorority and she had to get permission to come to my 16th birthday and our grandmothers funeral...
elisa oof
Fair warning. The sorority process is not all smiles and giggles. It can be hard looking at how “happy” girls who rush and join are. At least it’s hard for me. It can fool you into thinking “hey. Those girls look happy. I want to be that happy. So maybe i should join a sorority like them and i can be happy too”. It doesn’t always workout like that. The rush process is stressful and can hype you up to a let down. The most common example is your favorite house dropping you which leads you to question yourself and wonder “why am i not good enough to get into XYZ sorority” which brings you down a path of tearing yourself apart. Then there’s sorority rankings which can sway your decision. Idk. Just fair warning. The sorority process is a rollercoaster. Don’t expect “all good times all the time”
I agree. This video brought up a lot of memories and emotions for me. Rush is exciting and fun, but also can really tear you down. They were probably heavily recruited due to being somewhat famous UA-camrs.
Basically my process when I was at Baylor. The sororities I made the most connections with didn’t even pick me in the final rounds and the ones where I barely knew anyone did. I ended up not being able to join a sorority for financial reasons that occurred that year because the bid was too expensive for my family but I did other organizations instead. You don’t have to be in a sorority or fraternity to be happy at Baylor or at any university for that matter.
@@andsings13 what do you mean by bid being to expensive? you have to pay to be in a sorority?
@@winonadaphne6445 Oh yeah, you have to pay a lot. Particularly with this council (governing body over the sororities) where housing can be included in your overall fees if you move into the sorority house. It could cost at least $2000 to start out. At least, I feel that is a lot. Next to the tuition at Baylor, it may be a drop in the bucket for some.
Jasmin Gentry Baylor doesn’t do sorority or fraternity housing but the costs are still expensive
Dang Bailey's fashion sense is insane!

glen coco rush is incredibly hard. Both mentally and physically on both sides of recruitment. I remember when I rushed as a sophomore and how hard it was, I was one of few sophomores rushing that year. But at the end of the hardest week of my life, I found my home in gamma phi.

“Wow this is dumb at my college we actually learn” I’m sure I’m not the first person to say this but it’s not impossible to focus on school and a club at the same time. Sorority women have some of the highest GPAs at their schools because of the academic requirements they have. And I promise not every sorority woman is shallow and dumb. If that’s all you know, you know the wrong women. Just let other people enjoy themselves. I don’t even know who they are I just clicked on the video bc I was curious which one they joined 🤷🏼♀️

Esther Petit Frere no I’m pretty sure she’s meaning all the other comments of people saying that sororities are just for shallow people.
yikes choosing your sorority is "the most difficult choice of your life"
eva Your point?? How lucky are they for that!? That’s not a bad thing .
To be completely honest it is a difficult choice because you only pick once and these are going to be some of the closest friends in your life.
Yes but you’d think that other choices may be more important like choosing a college
What the benefits for joining a sorority?
@@usamarafieck1715 The benefits of joining an organization is experience, teamwork, leadership, and networking. You can definitely use an organization as experience such as Vice president or President of a organization looks good on a resume. At the end of the day a greek organization is a business and needs money to operate so being able to practice that during college is very helpful in your career. Again practicing leadership and greek organizations usually have a conference or something along the lines where you can learn about leadership skills. Finally networking, networking is just as important as a degree these days and knowing the right people can start your career and help you get experience before you leave college.
Please do a video about explaining what a sorority is.

For everyone asking what a sorority is, it is basically a large organization that raises money for a specific philanthropy (or charity). I am not sure what Chi Omega's is, but I will use mine for example. I was a Delta Gamma and our philanthropy is Service for Sight. So, any women who is a Delta Gamma helped raise money to help those who had visual impairments (blind, glasses, etc.). Although our main purpose is to raise money for our philanthropy, there were a lot of other fun aspects to being in a sorority. We had socials (with fraternities), date parties and formals (like college prom or homecoming). We could hold leadership positions (which helped us gain experience in a leadership role). If you are a female you can join a sorority and if you are a male you can join a fraternity (all together you guys are called Greek Life). Although being in a sorority isn't for everyone, there are a lot of great benefits from it. Hopefully this helps! Feel free to ask any further questions about it
I was a Delta Gamma too! ITB Sister
Can you mix girls and boys in one "group"? And also does each person in the group has to go through what they call "hazing". And how long do you have to stay in the group? If for example, you don't want to be in the sorority anymore, is it easy to leave or do you have to go A process? I grew up knowing that fraternities/sororities are bad, but I also wonder why are they mostly held at school grounds. I apologize for the many questions.
had no clue but i totally get it now
chase nicole Girls can only get into sororities and boys can only get into fraternities, but they can “come together” at things called socials/mixers where one sorority will have a party with a fraternity. As for hazing, almost all universities now have a zero tolerance policy on hazing. Unfortunately, it does still happen however. It happened a lot with the fraternities at my school. However, there are also a lot of sororities/fraternities that take the zero tolerance policy very seriously and don’t haze at all. And, you can leave your sorority or fraternity whenever you want/need to. I’m not sure of the process at every sorority, but I think you just have to sign some papers and let your organization know you want to drop out of it.
Mica miczful And, don’t apologize! I’m happy to answer any question. I was in my sorority for 4 years and learned a lot. A lot of media platforms portray Greek life in a negative way and while sometimes that’s true, it is not always that way

Anyone else from Greece who struggles to hear them miss pronouncing Greek letters?
Heliana V. Same
Hahaha yesss
Some sororities fraternities pronounce their letters like ancient Greeks would because that's what it's based on, but sometimes it depends on the school or chapter too
Katie Shanks Yep honey we do ancient Greek in school and that's again a wrong way to pronounce it. Anyway modern Greek characters are read exactly the same as the ancient characters do. So again it doesn't make sense. Also they keep telling that Σ is like E but that's a whole different letter and it's not even a vowel. Mad late lol but many universities have a lot of different sororities / frats . The “white” sororities are just part of it. There’s also D9 and multicultural.

Joyti Nath they are
that is exactly wat it is
They are...
Joyti Nath they are. You join so you can go to all the parties.
Joyti Nath I mean some of them are it I’m being honest
As someone in a multicultural sorority, all Greek life is amazing, it’s what you make out of it. Definitely out of respect to all organizations it’s important to learn the Greek alphabet so you don’t mispronounce anyone’s letters and have mutual respect for one another. Definitely make friends from different councils, don’t be afraid to go to other sororities events to go and support other councils. Your grades always come first! Always put academics before sorority stuff, something people in Greek get lost is the idea that you’re there to get a degree first, your sorority won’t give you that degree. Don’t be afraid to speak up if you see something wrong or something makes you uncomfortable. But most importantly be safe and have, and definitely stay true to yourselves.

Yeah, I was so touching
The whole Greek thing is such a foreign concept to me. Can someone explain what the point of it all is? No hate, just confused. I live in New Zealand and we don't have anything like this at University.
sororities are basically all-female groups that raise money for specific organizations as well as hosts social events. for example, i was in Phi Sigma Sigma and we raised money for Kids In Need, to provide school supplies to impoverished children. our social events included crush parties (you can anonymously or not anonymously "crush" someone, basically you'd write down the contact info for a guy you want to bring to the party, and the social chair of our sorority sent the invites out to everyone who was "crushed"), semi-formal and formal (more formal parties, once during fall and once during spring semester), and just regular themed parties at clubs in the city or in our sorority house (we had a 90s themed one, a Shipwrecked theme, a Top Gun theme, etc). and we have a week dedicated to raising money for our philanthropy, though we volunteer individually throughout the year. we also have Greek Week, meaning groups from every social sorority and fraternity create skits that we perform. Greek life can be Panhellenic (girls)/Inter-Fraternity Council (guys), business/professional, and even race-oriented (like Asian-interest sororities).
@@jewel7784 Wow I had no idea they raise money for charity, the only exposure I've had to all that is in movies and it just looks like all they do is drink and sleep around and be bitchy to each other. And obviously Brooklyn and Bailey aren't like that so I wondered why they wanted to be in a sorority. Thanks for explaining.
@@jessielarking5909 yeah, but to be completely honest, sororities tend to emphasize the social aspect of membership though. philanthropy should be the main focus, but often sorority members get caught up in the benefits of being able to go to exclusive parties, date or befriend fraternity men, and just be part of the "prestige," if you will. a lot of it is pretty clique-y and annoying. i got lucky because my sorority had a reputation on campus for having the most genuine girls and sisterhood. i felt like i had a really great group of friends and still had other not-so-close girls in my sorority i knew i could count on if i needed them. a lot of us never even prioritized dating, and definitely didn't feel like we needed to sleep around or date exclusively fraternity guys. we did a lot of sisterhood events and hangouts with just us girls, and did all our philanthropy events together. movies tend to rely on the "party all day, drunk all night" stereotype of Greek life, and i can't say they're not wrong, but it really differs from school to school and from sorority to sorority. no worries! i'm always happy to explain further.
@@jewel7784 This was SO HELPFUL. Thank you for explaining!! I finally fully understand everything 🙂
@@jessielarking5909 it is just for looks most people dont care about raising money.
I swear to God before the video even started I thought you guys would join Chi-O! I don't even go to the same university, but just based on the Chi-O's I know, I knew you'd fit in so well there!!
I felt the same way! I was a Chi O in college and I had a feeling they would fit right in.
Sororities are cults too me 🤷🏼♀️
You apparently don't know what a cult is.
@@TickleMeElmo55 Yeah cults are way worse.
Do you know what a cult is? they are not like cults.
Ricky M I think she meant they display cult like behavior. For example Greek rituals such as “bible study” (hazing) is seen as a way to recruit people to a group.

OMG OMG I cant believe it! Im a Chi Omega at NCSU!! I am so happy for you. You are going to have the best time of your life and find your life long sisters! LICO
Y’all always have the cutest outfits!! 💕💕
So true!!!
3:30 I was so happy that they both said 🔺🔺🔺
This must be scary for a person of color
You don’t have to always pay attention to race. People won’t notice
claire keef this is the second comment I’ve seen from you, and yeah you’re clearly just a clueless white girl who has never been affected by racism or discrimination BYE🙄🤦🏾♀️ stop being so ignorant with your comments
I'm not white but you sound stupid stop making everything about race
omg bailey looks STUNNING with her hair and makeup like that
little piece of advice... KNOW THAT SORORITIES ARE A CONTRACT. I joined and signed whatever they threw at me. Now when I am being unfairly fined $25+ for not signing an agreement because I was on a special leave, they tell me I must pay it because it was in my contract. if i don't pay i go to collections. READ EVERYTHING make sure you understand the liabilities you have.
I've been waiting for this video!!!
Same!!!!!!
Did you know that you can’t smile and breathe at the same time?
just wanted you to smile :)
Awh I fell for this thank you!
I didn’t do it bc I knew it was a joke 😂
When they showed the stadium. It was literally all blonde heads. You have to be rich to enjoy college to the fullest or to even join college at all.
They’re at Baylor, which is in Texas. Pretty much anyone who lives in Texas is blonde lmao.
I live in Texas. Im not blonde nor white lol
Baylor is in Waco Texas, which the majority is white and the surrounding suburbs are white. But Texas is very diverse, just depending on where are. Also Greek life has the stereotype of being "privileged, basic white white girls".😂😂😂
You don't have to be rich to enjoy college to the fullest since there are many things to get involved in besides Greek life.
@@LeiaIsANerd South Texas: am i a joke to you?
AND YOU GUYS ALMOST DIDN'T EVEN GO TO THE SAME COLLEGE
CARDINAL AND STRAW LOOK SO GOOD ON YA'LL!
LICO from a Chi Omega at UNC Charlotte 💕
lmfao I go to college in America and this still feels like a whole separate world to me
Just the thought of going to university in a few years makes me so anxious but you guys make it look so easy and casual and every video calms me! This must be what having older sisters is like!! Thank you!! Xxxx
I’m a Baylor Zeta alum, graduated last May! It’s so crazy to see y’all come to our school and go through the same process I did 5 years ago. So many mems. Your mom taught me to braid when I was in junior high and now here I am watching you join a sisterhood at the college I just graduated from. Congrats ladies and sic em bears 🐻
Hi everyone! Not all sorority recruitments are like this. I go to a small state university and our sorority recruitments are much more laid back. So don’t get discouraged while watching recruitment videos! Every school is different. :)
Who is here after Alabama rush tiktok
Love that they were getting ready at 6:30 meanwhile the actives (at least in my sorority) had to be dressed and ready to go in the chapter room by 6:30 😂😂
