It's good to get a hurting person's perspective cause sometimes judging is easier than loving. But Jesus didn't come to judge, he came to save. I know cause the Bible says so. God Bless

I found this song a while ago because my brother showed me it.... it opened my eyes a lot and changed the way I view a lot of things.... like how you should thing about peoples backstory before you assume something.... or even reach out a helping hand to someone who is hurting and maybe even looking for answers themselves... love the song and love what it stands for even more....
I can really relate to Derek Minor's personification of a female porn star, and this song is keeping me strong in fight to break the bondage of pornography in my life.
+FisherOfMen It's not easy man, but read your bible as often as you can and pray all the time. Whenever those thoughts or that urge comes on just remember what Christ did for you so that you could escape that slavery you're in. Never stop being thankful, I'm praying for you.

Awesome song, he nipped the main problem with Christians in one song. We aren't better than someone who doesn't know God, we're just privileged enough to be shown to him by our parents or friends.

A hard song to listen to as a christian but its the truth. Just an FYI, this is a song about how some non Christians view Christians, this isn't the view of the rappers trying to justify anything. I believe the life of a christian is to be lived out not be all talk. Sometimes, people just need someone to listen to them and understand them. Its our job to tell them about Christ in a LOVING way, its God job to transform their heart. Strengthen each other and don't cut down or judge. Sounds simple but its often very hard. Yet another Banger!!! Calling out the lames who judge the fallen, thank you Mr. Minor, D1, and Crae! Listen to the lyrics brethren, pay attention to what goes on in the lives perishing in your hood or burb or palace...doesn't matter, where you're at or from...all of our hearts are tainted with sin...God saved us ALL...judge not, lest Ye be judged...
I really like the song and was touched by it bc unfortunately there are many believers who does not take time to listen to those who are "unreached" and are "lost". But I also know many who do devote their lives to reaching those who grew up in a really tough environment. I was one of them, but because someone had reached out to me, listened and believed in me, I learned who I am in Christ and the freedom it brought in my life and I am now attending the University of my dream.
this song, if you a Christian, listen up, read the lyrics, of you ain't, listen up, read the lyrics, ain't about judging, most forget to love, they wana throw you.under and judge, how about you love first, help up, lead to the cross, brush up, clean up, and correct, because its true, and only god can judge, tho he may judge through his people at times.
I love this song--and I hope a lot saints can hear this and remember to love, not judge. And for the "sinner" to hear and see that we all start somewhere; don't worry bout "church folk." Come to God as you are and He will lead you the rest of the way, if you let Him.
This is the most raw and real Christian Rap song I've ever heard. Nobody talks about stuff like this. It's sad that some people who grew up Christian realize that some of us who later accept Christ came from a dark past, where our souls were crushed and it takes time to heal and grow in God. It's even harder to heal when you come to God and are faced with years of more pain. But God is good. What was meant to destroy us God will use for good. He can restore all that the Locusts have eaten. Heal all our wounds. Forgive us for our mishaps. Shape us into what He wants us to be and not what the damaged soul inside of us thinks we still are.
both Derek and Lecrae are going to winter jam 2014 so they could sing this song together and that would make me the happiest person in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the song but I really would like to hear Mr. Christians response. I am a big fan of God's word being preached through song. I know god spent his time among the sinners in his earthly ministry and that he said that we shouldn't judge people, however we as Christians can judge an action to be either good or evil. I think a whole lot of the mainstream "Christians" think that avoiding those who live in the world of a sinner is a good practice. You cannot be infected by evil if you truly love god and we should all hope to have our feet be those beautiful feet which are dirty from walking the path of our savior. Dirt doesn't always mean sinful but it is also the trademark of a hardworking person. If we lose our selves in the work of the lord our feet may be dirty but they will be beautiful.
In this song they asked you to listen. It seems like you got offended when you listened. I heard their pain in what they went through. You heard excuses. God help you. Jesus didn't need explanations because he already knew they why's. We do not know people backgrounds and we must show compassion which is understanding. Acknowledging what happened can help people heal. How are you going to say "I don't need to hear your excuse just repent and change" that mentality is exactly the reason this song is written.
I love the songs that speak to the flaws of our humanity that hinders our effectiveness to be that light. I often wonder though what we can really do about it. We as Christians are humans and came from a sinful past as well. In my family God came in and introduced himself and then the family turned back to the world. I strive to walk with that awesome God anyway but I feel the world is trying to get us to cave and even though we realize our failure this doesn't present a solution, Great song.
Dear Mr. sinner I can not help but see, That the action that you took was not caused by me. I'm sorry that you think That I came out here to Judge, but I really want to say that there's hope in God's Love. If I can help all you have to do is ask, because God said I should help you to try and get passed. All the temptations all the pain and the sorrow, Is going to help you get so much stronger tomorrow. When you give up all the things that cause you so much pain, you will finally know the Lord and be loved once again.
I am not. But I am forgiven because I made the choice to follow Christ. As Mr. Sinner is represented in this song it sounds as though he is making excuses for the way he lives by using his circumstances as an excuses. Even Peter the most beloved of Christ's apostles took responsibility for his sinful nature and that is the difference. He took responsibility for his actions. The minute you start placing blame for your sins on others is the time when you start leaning towards the path of the adversary. The truest form of repentance is when you: 1 recognize YOU have sinned, 2 You feel sorry for having committed that sin, 3 You promise God that you will never do it again and 4 You give up that sin to Christ. Then grace kicks in but grace only works when the person receiving it changes their heart and walks in Christ's ways. When you stumble and fall you get back up and you repent and move forward. Don't hold on to the past move forward in Christ. We as Christians do not save but we can facilitate bringing other sinners to Christ who can save but they have to take responsibility for their own sinful actions.
Our mission as Christians is to help those who don't recognize their sin and help them to understand they can be forgiven. Forgiveness can only come through repentance. So we do have resposibilty to go and do not sit and stew. Like Lecrae said in "Send Me" "I'll go" to teach (not preach) those who like me sin and I will show them the way to live forever through Christ.
Change is a process faith is a journey Unconditional is the test.... Christian is our identity...... you've been on quite a journey Lecrae i cant help but feel the change in your music since rehab somethings missing the message has changed the direction has changed i know that one thing that consistent is the love of god no mater how far we wonder from the flock he always pulls us back no mater how we try to resist
From the other person's perspective, this is how MOST "Christians" sound like. MOST (not all) just blab about Christ, but don't DO anything to help. Like, for example, one can preach about love all they want; speaking about how God loves us and how He died for us. But, thing is, they didn't SHOW that love. So, this person looks at this Christian and thinks, "What a hypocrite! They say religion and God is the answer, but just look at how they act. They' be judging us by rubbing our sins in our faces!" That's the message I get out of it. Who was it? Who was it that said (and I quote): "Show everyone love; and if you absolutely need to, use words."? Not saying every Christian talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk, I'm just saying that that's probably what they were aiming at. Striving to compel us into thinking and acting and yearning to be like Jesus. 'Cause, honestly, I feel like some people think that if they pick up a Bible, learn a few verses, and do the right thing, that they automatically know God. In simplicity, read Matthew 7:21-23. -HBofAS
Anyone else out there feeling convicted after hearing this song. I bet it would be appreciated if we would "take some time to listen" when witnessing to others. So many hurt people out there need to be listened to before they will hear our message. Pray for them and for ourselves brothers and sisters.
There's a good point here, Jesus loves sinners and didn't come to judge - john 3:16,17. There is a lot of junk around even in churches, sad to admit, but what matters more is Jesus and what He did for us, to have life in Him. As long as there are people, there won't be perfection regardless of whose organization your apart of or not. That is, until Scripture is fulfilled. Peace, seek Jesus not religion.
well that's all they're doing in this song as judging others and the word religion just means to practice something I religiously brush my teeth and follow Christ the disciples use the word religion and the book of James that are not offended by it neither should we y'all some lames just following each other and not the Bible
For all those who dont understand the testamonies are speaking the ones rapping "mr Minor" "Mr Dee1" Mr Lecrae" in case your offended that theyre talking bout you... lol If you are offended then put your foolish pride aside and look at yourself in the mirror cuz every Christian could listen alot more than preaching damnation on someone they have no clue about. God didnt send you to analyze he sent you to evangalize!
Cody Burke The Bible does say for us to 'judge' each other, but in love and without bias; most people are incapable of judging each other correctly. Matthew 7:1-5 "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye."
ProudofJesus correct me if im wrong but i view judging as pointing out someone w/o owning up to ur own, and expecting that person to change to ur way of thinking, the correct way is to share the Truth in Love & be willing to point that toward the Solution which is Christ
Ive listened to this song so many times!! Love it! As Christians we should realize that looking down upon sinners and people we believe are below us is not what we are called to do. Christ calls us to love, treat, and respect those who don't know the Lord because after all we are all sinners! God bless.
Been here dealing with the worst right now. wrestling with myself.. but God just lead me to this song and these lyrics are so real. I like all of the verses so I can't say which is the best.. This song is amazing.
Dear Mr. Christian, I know your on a mission. I know you say the answer to my problem is religion. I know I'm supposed to change my way and stop sinning, but I'd appreciate if you take some time to listen.
This song, just wow!! This song is amazing! God can really work through people such as Derek Minor, Dee-1, and Lecrae. What I do when I first listen to a new song, I look up the lyrics. I read them, understand the meaning and then I go about listening to the song! All the Reach Record songs I have listened to mainly focus on how not to be a hypocritical Christian. And that's good. The thing is, I have always been a Christian, but the type of Christian that just goes to church on Sunday. Then I started listening to artists such as Lecrae and I grew so much closer to God! Thank you Lecrae! You not only helped me grow closer to God, you have helped me to grow as the person that God wants me to be. A REAL Christian. Being a true Christian means having a relationship with Jesus Christ, not going to church on Sunday and dressing up all nice. I'm not saying to NOT wear nice clothes and NOT go to church. Just when you do it, do it with an open heart, not what people tell you!
BROTHERS and SISTERS in Christ...stop the bickering and focus on God, focus on His Son Jesus, stop allowing the enemy to work through you, stop allowing your sinful nature to take control, you have power over that...we're supposed to stick together, none of us are better than the other, so stop please; in God's word he says (I'm paraphrasing a bit): "How can you say you love me, but don't love your brother(neighbor) whom you see EVERY day, but you have never seen my face....(please think about this, God bless, Jesus' isn't coming back for a bickering bride, so stay focused... #stayprayedup
Jesus he is coming back to rapture us! Look they already are making the mark of the beast, it's called the RFID chip and that's may be the whole worlds money currency and also you know the devil likes to put something good in something bad! What there gonna do is when someone doesn't follow there rules they will turn off your chip for a certain time so you can't buy nothing till then so peace will be everywhere around the world! You could believe everything you want, but I'm not here to judge you I'm here tellin you my proof bout this!
LAngeloG Llama how are you judging me?? you're cool, and I know about that too, they showed it on History Channel about almost all the Government's secrets...crazy?? I thought they were going to get in trouble about it...idk Be blessed
i struggle too but i'm realizing we'll never fully understand grace becuz it's beyond our comprehension and it's there regardless. that's what makes God's love so amazing i think. i also struggle with sharing my faith and not feeling like God is with me. We can't base our faith on finicky feelings & resting in his consistency is something we have to learn. it's ok to feel this way. remember- lean not on your own understanding. Holiness is something we must strive for daily through the spirit.
I was nine years old when daddy first touched me At 15 I ran away and never stopped running I met a man who took me in 'cause I was pretty though He said that you could make some money in my video I get high and drunk just to make it through a show And act like I'm enjoying it but really this is all a show I feel degraded, purity obliterated This is all I know and I really hate it Mr. Minor are you listening? I know that you're a Christian And got computer programs to block me from your vision And every time you watch me you say that I'm the issue Your pastor preaching about how not to let me catch you slipping But maybe I'm a victim, maybe I'm just trapped in the system And next time you pray maybe I might get a mention (please) Before you talk about me remember that I'm lost And your secret pleasure coming at a cost Dear Mr. Christian, I know you're on a mission I know you say the answer to my problem is religion I know I'm supposed to change the way I live and stop sinning But I'd appreciate it if you take some time to listen Dear Mr. Christian Man I'm on that chronic Higher than a comet Sippin' gin and tonic Drinking till I vomit Tatted on my arms, tatted on my face Pants hanging low, nina on my waist I be slanging soft, plus I got that hard Die for my hood, ride for my boulevard I got love for my dogs but never for these girls It's M.O.E. 'cause money rule the world But Mr. Dee-1, I grew up crummy Saw my pops get killed in front of me Saw my momma do dope in front of me Felt like ain't nobody love me Uniform dirty, dressing bummy Went to school they called me ugly Caught the bus they used to jump me God I just prayed to you Sunday Now it's Monday, I'm starving Sip sour milk out of the carton Talk to myself while I'm out walking should I put myself in a coffin? I don't know! All I grew up with was trouble Ain't know no role model, I knew the struggle Excuse me, I don't quite understand you Propaganda and banter and all of this empty chatter And amidst these amens, hallelujahs, and shuckin' jivin' I see a lot of hypocrites and hyper-criticizing Mr. Lecrae my momma sold me up the river for some rocks And daddy told me I was nothing but a problem Now here you come telling me I'm a low down dirty sinner And you got the nerve to wonder why I'm in these streets robbin'? Well go and get batman, and go get back man I don't need to be judged by you and all of your wack friends Ain't gluttony a sin? Why you staring at my gin? Where I'm from we don't pretend We know we ain't gettin' in Now the world don't trust me And these streets done crushed me Thought you were known for love but you just love to judge me Truth is, ironically you need me around though 'Cause otherwise you got nobody else to look down on
I remember when I felt EXACTLY the way the last verse went. I got tired of people beating me up and I felt like all "church folk" were hypocrites. I wanted nothing to do with the church after the way I was treated. But it took God leading me to a church that loved me, were transparent and treated me like family.
Wait, I don't understand what job Derek Minor was describing in the start of his verse? Picked up by a man putting him in videos and that he had to get drunk and high to get through? Male stripping? Male prostituation? I don't get it.
Chronic this song is not talking down to Christians, just to the hypocritical ones who say one thing and do another...and the religion thing is not the answer...just need a relationship with you and God...religion places man made rules and that's the issue, just like the pharisees did when Jesus was around, Did you know Jesus came to abolish religion? Did you know that in finding Him, you will do away with religion? Religion is a man-made construct of what 'man' thinks GOD wants. So then we end up with traditions of men, rituals, sacraments, etc.
This song is so true! Us as Christians do judge and look down on sinners like we have never sinned a day in our life! Don't lie and say you didn't!
Exactly people need to not be afraid to say that they've sinned, everybody sins every single day in their life
"For all have sinned and fell short at the glory of God"
Who else agrees Christian Music is the best?

Proof that you don't have to rap about violence, guns, dope, money and girls to have a banging beat. This song is off the chain!!!!
@Burger Tree Pretty sure he means gangster rap, where it's all about the drugs, chicks, and such.
Ironically, it still kinda does but in a different set of lens 💯
"And you wonder while I'm in these streets robbin'? Well, go and get Batman-"
Awesome wordplay right there.
I had to read your comment 2 or 3 times and I've heard the song a few times. I have always been a huge fan of word play and still I missed this one. Good catch.
I can't seem to get it, but I am curious, can you explain please?
If you think that was good then. Well can't think of a worthy retort
Robin is Batman's sidekick.
yeah...it was...just okay. actually the bulk of the song is good lyrically, but for me, that line was actually corny, haha.
Such a relevant message in today's society.
One of Derek's greatest tracks
It's good to get a hurting person's perspective cause sometimes judging is easier than loving. But Jesus didn't come to judge, he came to save. I know cause the Bible says so. God Bless
Rap that tells a story and is real. I've waited so long for this return!
I never took the time for the words. now it's deeper than I thought!
Am I the only one that thinks this is (one of) Dee-1's best verses?
IKR!!
After listening to his latest EP and some of his other tracks, I just don't feel like they match up to this verse. His 5 Fingers of death on Sway was decent, too, but I think the content matter in this song is really swaying my vote

Shape us into what He wants us to be and not what the damaged soul inside of us thinks we still are.
both Derek and Lecrae are going to winter jam 2014 so they could sing this song together and that would make me the happiest person
in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow. I have been missing. This is to good to not comment.. good ish 😭💪⛪
Hope we listen more and judge less. Help us pls Lord...
Man...perspective shift. Love it!
God is the way the truth and the light, but sometimes we need that relationship with god to have a real self be said or seen.
wow this song is on fire. great job D. Minor
I was wondering when Dee-1 was going to end up collaborating with Lecrae... glad he did 😁
this song.. it helped me a lot today.. made me realize how much i take my life for granted.. God works in the most amazing ways!
Dear, Mr Christian
Wow...I needed that reminder! It's easy to forget where Jesus met me and all that I was tangled in. Thanks D. Minor!
All ima say is that layout is raw. I wish i knew who did that video I would pay them good money.
I think im kinda addicted to this song. Love the message & they all went in. Praise the Lord
Dear Mr. sinner I can not help but see, That the action that you took was not caused by me.
It's ok, I think?
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
"Dear Mr. sinner"? So you are not a sinner? You are a pure christian that never sin?
In simplicity, read Matthew 7:21-23.

preach
Anyone else out there feeling convicted after hearing this song. I bet it would be appreciated if we would "take some time to listen" when witnessing to others. So many hurt people out there need to be listened to before they will hear our message. Pray for them and for ourselves brothers and sisters.
ddaaaamn.
dark song.
this song is so underrated. i’m back after 8 years.
This song give us the true definition of Christianity. Let's stop judging and LISTEN to bring the lost home!!!
Actually, we are called to do both....
Konami702 can you link me a Bible verse? I don't think I've ever heard of one, but I'd be glad to be proven wrong :)
ProudofJesus I see. Thanks :)
God bless.
dee 1!!!
Been here dealing with the worst right now. wrestling with myself.. but God just lead me to this song and these lyrics are so real. I like all of the verses so I can't say which is the best.. This song is amazing.
Dear Mr. Christian,
I know your on a mission.
Dear Mr. Christian
What I've tried to tell my fellow brothers but didn't know how to put it into words. This is spot-on. Thank you Derek Minor
I know all the words.
This song should be played out on every church out there looking down on some of us, We all equal before God mayne!
Wow thats deep! I got GooseBumps(akaTheHolySpirit)
Man. One of the best songs ever written. No lies....
Dee-1 is cool
So dope! The message is do dope! I pray many CHRISTIANS would catch this message. Love folk unconditionally! Love this!
I thought they were going to get in trouble about it...idk
Be blessed
What if we try to not let the sinful nature take control? What if we know what we are doing but anyways the temptation takes control
i struggle too but i'm realizing we'll never fully understand grace becuz it's beyond our comprehension and it's there regardless. that's what makes God's love so amazing i think. i also struggle with sharing my faith and not feeling like God is with me. We can't base our faith on finicky feelings & resting in his consistency is something we have to learn. it's ok to feel this way. remember- lean not on your own understanding. Holiness is something we must strive for daily through the spirit.
Dee needs to keep this same flow.
This song still goes so hard... holy cow. These lyrics really pierce your heart.
I was nine years old when daddy first touched me
At 15 I ran away and never stopped running
I met a man who took me in 'cause I was pretty though
He said that you could make some money in my video
I get high and drunk just to make it through a show
And act like I'm enjoying it but really this is all a show
I feel degraded, purity obliterated
This is all I know and I really hate it
Mr. Minor are you listening? I know that you're a Christian
And got computer programs to block me from your vision
And every time you watch me you say that I'm the issue
Your pastor preaching about how not to let me catch you slipping
But maybe I'm a victim, maybe I'm just trapped in the system
And next time you pray maybe I might get a mention (please)
Before you talk about me remember that I'm lost
And your secret pleasure coming at a cost
Dear Mr. Christian, I know you're on a mission
I know you say the answer to my problem is religion
I know I'm supposed to change the way I live and stop sinning
But I'd appreciate it if you take some time to listen
Dear Mr. Christian
Man I'm on that chronic
Higher than a comet
Sippin' gin and tonic
Drinking till I vomit
Tatted on my arms, tatted on my face
Pants hanging low, nina on my waist
I be slanging soft, plus I got that hard
Die for my hood, ride for my boulevard
I got love for my dogs but never for these girls
It's M.O.E. 'cause money rule the world
But Mr. Dee-1, I grew up crummy
Saw my pops get killed in front of me
Saw my momma do dope in front of me
Felt like ain't nobody love me
Uniform dirty, dressing bummy
Went to school they called me ugly
Caught the bus they used to jump me
God I just prayed to you Sunday
Now it's Monday, I'm starving
Sip sour milk out of the carton
Talk to myself while I'm out walking should I put myself in a coffin?
I don't know! All I grew up with was trouble
Ain't know no role model, I knew the struggle
Excuse me, I don't quite understand you
Propaganda and banter and all of this empty chatter
And amidst these amens, hallelujahs, and shuckin' jivin'
I see a lot of hypocrites and hyper-criticizing
Mr. Lecrae my momma sold me up the river for some rocks
And daddy told me I was nothing but a problem
Now here you come telling me I'm a low down dirty sinner
And you got the nerve to wonder why I'm in these streets robbin'?
Well go and get batman, and go get back man
I don't need to be judged by you and all of your wack friends
Ain't gluttony a sin? Why you staring at my gin?
Where I'm from we don't pretend
We know we ain't gettin' in
Now the world don't trust me
And these streets done crushed me
Thought you were known for love but you just love to judge me
Truth is, ironically you need me around though
'Cause otherwise you got nobody else to look down on
I remember when I felt EXACTLY the way the last verse went. I got tired of people beating me up and I felt like all "church folk" were hypocrites. I wanted nothing to do with the church after the way I was treated. But it took God leading me to a church that loved me, were transparent and treated me like family.
Im here because of Pandora
Pretty good isn't it
Same here bro
Love this song!!! Really gets you thinking!!!
Wait, I don't understand what job Derek Minor was describing in the start of his verse? Picked up by a man putting him in videos and that he had to get drunk and high to get through? Male stripping? Male prostituation? I don't get it.
Oh alright, makes sense. Thanks for the response, brothaa
He was talking about a female pornstar/stripper/partygoer
This song is hot. I'm feeling it. Praise God for Christian Rap!
Does dislikes got to be religious folks
Very possible there is a lot of history about our last name, I'll save you the story but at the end of the day we are all related.
They say this song is talking down to Christians but its true as I've learned first hand
ZombIX138 Amen!
You cannot stop sinning but through Christ, you can lose the desire to sin even though we will sin at some point that is why we we need grace.
