Um...No...I'd have to disagree. Good song but does not mean God is taking over Hip Hop. This is his most popular song and still comes no where near the top in Hip Hop. 3.5 Million views verses Hotline Bling by Drake at 749.5 Million views. He has a long way to go and him singling himself out as a Christian will make it easier for him to build traction because of the lack of Christian rappers (Or at least good ones). So this is helpful for him but in the mainstream casual listeners will most likely not want to hear a lot of Christian lyrics especially if they themselves are not Christian. I feel if he made at least some other good songs that are not so based on God and Christianity he could grow even more and then put a dent into Hip Hop. Just being realistic.
You don't get it man, it's not about the numbers and who is better than who. I Love Hip Hop and I am a Christian so these songs are alternatives to women, drugs and money that the so called famous artists put out there. I appreciate Andy and the the other christian rappers just the way they are, I'd ask them never to conform. Rom 12:2
To "Take over Hip Hop" IS about the numbers. You can't just ignore that. I love Hip Hop as well however I am not a Christian (I am a Deist). I still enjoy this song though. The songs that are about women, drugs and money are in every genre. Songs like that will never stop being created and being popular because they are relevant in most peoples lives. Not every mainstream rapper has to put out a song about those topics. Example: Me, Myself&I by G-Easy. It's about how he is dealing with finally blowing up. You can't say "so called famous artist" when they hold the number which do show the popularity which is what makes people famous. I am not saying for him to drop Christianity off his albums but at least make a few songs without it and see how he does so he can appeal to a bigger audience.

Why I am a fan of Andy Mineo
1. He greatly respects and admires Paul Washer, David Wilkerson, and Reinhard Bonnke. Says so at length in interviews.
Andy even has excerpts of Washer's Sermons in some of his songs.
2. He is an emulator of Charles Spurgeon in many areas. Especially Christian marriage.
Anyone trying to be like those guys, and taking inspiration from those saints, is on the true Christian Tract.
