Public Service Announcement. Do not move the washing machine while its on any cycle! I moved my machine slightly since it was crooked in my room while it was on the wash cycle. After that , it made all sort of squeaking noises. LG in house technican stopped by today (under warranty) and he had to re-align it. LG's repair receipt says " Squaking noise. Adjusted and leveled washer, noise was due to tub rubbing against cabinet padding. Tested ok."

After using our old basic Kenmore washer for over 15 years it was starting to look old with rust. We know we did not want a front loader . Apon going to Hm Depo ,bst bi, we went to Lowes ,we were consistently told that L G washers were the best, we just so happened to buy the exact same washer. It really dose wash in a much different way. I was a little concerned about how clean the clothes would be. I happen to look at a load after a few day and could clearly see the white trim on my colored clothing was very clean and white. I know this sounds like a commercial but it's true they were very clean no dingy . I am surprised and happy. Mr Walker Soccer coach and player.
We love our LG washer! All those that say they don't wash well don't know what they're talking about! Most people don't watch them wash long enough or closely enough to see how great the rollover actually is. These are great machines. Very powerful and they save alot of water and detergent.
wowitskevin . Those people are ignorant, don't pay attention and don't read the instructions for the machine. I have the LGWT5270CW. Love it except let's be honest...they can't wash comforters
Most of these videos show the washer with very few clothes in it. I wish I could find videos with these washers loaded nearly to the top. I'd like to see the wash action with more clothes and water in it. I personally still prefer the tumbling action of a front loader. When it comes time to replace my current washer, I'll be getting another LG with the Turbo Wash feature. At least that feature will help get my clothes wet faster, as it'll be spraying the recirculated water on the clothes. I was expecting something similar on this washer, since it said turbo wash.
davenwin1973 . Wow "genius". What rock did you crawl from under? The tub gets filled with dry clothes to the top. When the machine wets them, they condense. You do not add more clothes after that!! The clothes need room to move around. I swear we need common sense schools. You and millions of people don't have any. You are exactly the type of person that thinks Overstuffing/overloading a washer like that Kirk Rivas fool is normal and correct
BroccoliQueefed if you think these washers are only supposed to be loaded with that little amount of clothes, then I see no point in having that big of a tub. Might as well just have a top loader with an agitator. This was otherwise why I avoided this type of washer 6 years ago, when I had to get a new dryer, and decided to replace my first front loader washer with another front loader. With that type of washer I fill to the top loosely, then it compacts, and freely tumbles as they get wet. Anyone Telling me that front loaders only a third to half way up, have never used it to its real capacity. Only combo models get filled half way up the tub, because that same drum is being used for the dryer as well, and don't have the capacity to tumble dry the clothes.
davenwin1973. Did it ever occur to you that people dont always have a huge load? My point is even if this tub was loaded to full capacity you would still be bitching. Like i said, The clothes need room to move around. This washer washes a month worth of my shirts, 2 weeks worth of towels.. he could have put three times the amount of clothes he had in there. There. Happy now?
This is a really cool washer! I noticed that during the Rinse cycle it uses two different water nozzles to spray out water, which definitely helps with cleaning the clothes well. Well, one is a sprayer; the other is the standard waterfall nozzle. My favorite part is definitely the end of cycle song, because yes, this washer plays a song when it’s done. And it plays a shorter song when you hit the power button. Oh, and by the way, Merry Christmas!
I just got mine today. I was reluctant to lose the agitator but I’m just gonna embrace change. I remember when my mother got one of these ‘normal’ washers with agitators. She missed her old old washer, the kind you have to pour your own water and after rinsing you would feed the clothes through rolls. Which I remember vividly catching my fingers one time and it was very painful. 😓

There is something so sensuous about this. Forgive me, my Samsung has been on and off for years. My husband carved the area that the water goes into (and soap) bigger so it does not back up and out on the front, then lifted it at an angel so the water will go into it, and we only put soap inside the front, because soap where the water comes into like the tray area will back up and water will come out the front face of tray. He did other repairs too, an error code came up and it was the pump or something.
Thanks simon says my sister in law lives in canada and I used to wind her up saying top loaders are in the dark ages. I think I'm converted. I wish I could get one here in England lol x
We used to have top loaders here in the U.K. but they died out in the 80s. There’s a few major reasons 1. They use tons of water compared to a front loader, this bring up the issue of British hot water systems not having that much hot water on demand and also water is more expensive in the U.K. Front loaders simply take in cold and heat themselves. 2. They do not fit under counter spaces therefore can’t be placed in a kitchen/utility room under a work space. Houses in the U.K. are much smaller and can’t afford to lose space 3. They’re super rough on clothes and wear them out much faster 4. They spin slower than front loaders leaving the clothes more wet which is a no no in the U.K. were only 57% of households have a dryer
@@Kubulek17 that’s mostly true, but you can still buy top loaders in the UK, which are the same built as European ones, they work exactly like front loaders, but they were designed to the small European bathrooms (where most people have their washing machines in Germany and to East of Germany (Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, etc), where you would generally prefer a slim washer, and where due to the lack of space, loading from the top is generally more convenient.
If you want more water to the wash cycle pause the cycle push the water plus button(if applicable) and push the resume /pause button to resume cycle.. I was worried at first as well because I didn't understand this concept of design. It s like you going to a laundromat and using a front loader, same concept, only in a top loader.
Have one similar so it's nice to know what it does on the inside, especially since it takes so long to wash a single load...and that doesn't count the times it's unbalanced so it rewashes the load. Can't wait for machine to die so I can go back to a regular washing machine.
EVERYONE STOP SAYING THIS WASHER DOSNT WASH ANYTHING. Your wrong,The clothes are sucked in from the sides of the drum and come out the centre this is called bloom action and it is very effective and efficient since it dosnt need a lot of water to be able to perform this. if you watch the load closely you will see what I mean. The clothes are getting clean you guys just think since there’s less water in it that it’s not washing
The new LG dryer on this UA-cam video needs to show the clear door so that we can see all of the clothes and the towels and the sheets spinning in the dryer even if we all decide to watch the clothes and the towels and the sheets spinning in the new LG dryer that have already been washed.
Thanks for posting this video. The machine I just bought looks like the moving it is so slow and initially never see it distribute clothes like this one. I think might need to return it.
Thanks for posting this video. We just received our new washing machine today and it's an impeller one although it's not an LG, it's a Samsung. This is my first time using an impeller type so this video is very helpful especially since the lid to our washer isn't the see thru type.
I ended up buying the 6.0 capacity top load LG and I couldn't be happier. I have no idea why people say it doesn't add enough water. Maybe they need to read the instructions and have smaller loads
I have a washer similar to this one. I never do a full load and always have to add more water. It doesn't look like it's doing much but the clothes do come out clean enough .
I just replaced the suspension rods on mine, the basket was banging around even with a small amount of clothes, they looked good but weren't providing the correct resistance
I am sure I will enjoy this LG washer if I follow the directions carefully. Of course on stained stuff, I likely will soak products seperately in a sink befiore using washer as I will stick with HE soap products on a HE washer.
I have one thats very similar to this that we bought back in 2020. The machine performs very well, but the only gripe I have with it is that it will sit there and fart around forever trying to figure out how much water it has inside of it. Other than. that it has been a great machine so far.
My sister needs something like this the other washer she has makes to much noises and shakes the entire house and it makes a really loud noise when draining water from the pipe as well
I'll never yell at my son again for playing video games.....can't believe I just watched a washing machine video for 30 minutes....my life has no meaning.
Only watched 1 minute of the video but I can tell you as an ex P&G'er that he used WAYYYY too much laundry detergent! When you think you are not using enough, use even less. Too much is not good for the washer.
How are some of the clothes on top getting cleaned? I see them in the same spot? We just bought one and noticed the same thing, our clothes on top stayed in the same spot the whole time.
They aren't. We have this washer and it might be in the wash cycle for 30 minutes but each article of clothing is only being washed for a very tiny fraction of that time. And for larger items that can't cycle between bottom and top, because a large article can't move through itself to get from top to bottom, it's even worse.
To the comments on people saying there is not enough water to clean properly... Not true. But I have heard that these things are wearing bearings and getting loud. Dryer that matches has quite a few complaints about the dryer having water in it when cycle is done. Wierd. Think it is a humidity thing or something but cant be sure. Mine was quite when I got it in March and is getting louder every month. I assume I have bearings going out but it isnt that bad...yet.
Check out that wash action! Great video . It’s a fact, the drum when it’s locked it does way better turnover action than when it’s not like the whirlpool type. Great washer
I have been watching many videos of washers, and this has the best washing action, with an impeller. Unfortunately, no one where I live services them. Not even the place that sells them!
no more new washer can do that .. even if you put it on deep fill it only adds 3 liters -_-' .. on my side .. i installed a " Y " on my water valve + garden ose and the " Y " has a valve for each output.. i just dump the ose inside and open the valve once the wacher had add his own water.
are these basically the same that's still out there being sold in 2023 or have they changed? I can't seem to find videos of recent ones in action. Thanks
You watch a complete cycle when you bought a shitty Maytag that has an agitator. Agitators we’re good back in the day when they were larger and used more water. Today’s agitators suck big balls. Lol
The point you made is exactly correct. If you want "old school" agitator performance, then you are going to have to buy a commercial grade agitator machine.
@Ronald McFondle that just makes top loaders terribly inefficient with the space. You could easily put that amount of clothes in a front loader with 1/3 the drum capacity (50 litre drum).
Yeah he used waaaaaay to much soap in there. I have the same washing machine and for the first time in my life i follow the instructions according to what ever detergent I'm using. People have this misconception that using ALOT of detergent cleans the clothes better when infact it can leave your clothes dirty still because the washer is unable to properly rinse the dirty detergent away.. we gotta get out of those old school habits because these new washers are different and use less water.. my washer can get ink stains and everything out better than any washer i've ever used and it not as harsh on my clothing like the classic ones... So my tip to everyone with HE machines and even regular classic ones READ and FOLLOW the instructions on your detergent bottle they don't put them their just for show.. And always use HE detergents which most these days are HE safe anyways. And my second tip is if you find that you may have added too much soap use the extra rinse cycle to thoroughly rinse that dirt and soap away ( which if your follow the instructions on the detergent you wont have to worry about it in the first place... One of the biggest causes for people having allergic reactions and itchiness from detergents is because they use waaay more than they are supposed to and the residue irritates the skin. And it also causes your washer to build up and eventually start smelling.. Mine smells brandnew and I run the tubclean cycle every 30 washes or once a month.
This is where you are both right and wrong. You are wrong because the more water the less concentration of soap. The less water the more concentration of soap. Top load HE washers use quite a bit more water than front loaders. You are right because with these machines they require a fraction of the detergent.
I am in the market to replace the GE Hotpoint Washer and Dryer that I just purchased. The washer is very loud and wants to walk, it also binds my clothes into a bundled up mess. Model # HTW240. Looking for recommendations.

here are all the washer brands I know. LG, GE, Maytag, Whirlpool who now works for maytag, Kenmore, montgomery ward, Westinghouse, AEG, Grundig, hotpoint, hisence, and more
Funny I had a Whirlpool that had that as a setting. I tried it once and 2 out of 4 of us in the family broke out in a rash. I won't ever change from the old school type top load that I have.
Mine will not power up only two years old. You have to unplug it and wait. Sometimes a day or two. LG needs to fix. Lot of people having the same problem on you tube.
Im italian live in italy, i love lg w m i have 2 front load with turbo wash, that do 2 rinses with spray and water in, i can't understand how it can rinses your clothes only one time and just withspray and not water in... but allways americans washer use only one rinse maximum 2 and thats crazy, thats why you talkimg about how good tide liquid smell on your clothes, even using half cup in this huge machine, becouse it never get rinsed away.... we use a full cup in little front washer that wash like whit a drop o water and it will be more concentrated but ht hey do allways 3 rinses with mach more water tro the glass, and if i use turbowash option, it does 2 rinse with high wter level and in the middle spin use the spray, and i olso i add allways another extra rinse, and they smell like nothings 😅,but that means they are really washed from dirty and detergent! I prefer front load much better and efficient, they fortunally dont even sell the top load here, are to big for nothings and i hink is really rouh the mechanics action on the clotes from the bottom....sorry, my opinion
You can’t tell me that that little spray rinse got all the detergent from that wash. Ridiculous to believe that those clothes were rinsed well enough. I’m sure if that tub was filled with water you would see plenty of suds in there. What gets me is that people believe this is acceptable. Vintage washers not only had a spray rinse during the first spin, some even had a second spray rinse after the deep rinse cycle, then you knew your clothes came out clean and fresh. I don’t know about you but I don’t want detergent residue all over my body.
petermazbabie sigh, understand physics and how a product works and how about just simply get one yourself before you try biased old fashioned technology opinions before degrading new stuff smh
I had a machine similar to this in Asia, but much smaller. God help you if something gets caught on the agitating disk on the bottom and the machine keeps going, it tore all my clothes up suddenly one day. Hopefully LG has programmed this model to be very sensitive to resistance and stops the machine.
I have a meile that run rings around that machine stick in on a 30 mine wash press start water fills half way and starts the wash oh and its a front loader with a spin speed of 1500 rpm
We don't like front loaders in the Americas. They are ergonomically "retarded" and they take too long to wash clothes. They are usually maintenance nightmares
Several points, One I set mine on normal I select hot water and high spin, I get neither, If I select bright whites and it automatically goes to hot water , Then I get hot water, this means those settings mean nothing Maybe they are for the custom program that it has I dont know, Lastly my washer has a noise like a steam engine on the spin cycle I have not heard that on any posts on youtube in any machines on here, this machine dont do it, Does that mean I have a reject?

ua-cam.com/video/X6FT0zzpN_k/v-deo.html here’s a video about the machines I’m talking about
Top leaders are shit this machine does ok with small leads but they are horrible at big loads or blankets
I like apples
If you want more water to the wash cycle pause the cycle push the water plus button(if applicable) and push the resume /pause button to resume cycle.. I was worried at first as well because I didn't understand this concept of design. It s like you going to a laundromat and using a front loader, same concept, only in a top loader.
Lance Shelton or use the heavy duty cycle
Or buy an old fashioned washer
Amigos shill what the f is that
Have one similar so it's nice to know what it does on the inside, especially since it takes so long to wash a single load...and that doesn't count the times it's unbalanced so it rewashes the load. Can't wait for machine to die so I can go back to a regular washing machine.
these new machines with no agitator suck. They dont even clean and rinse properly.
@@back2the80s What is an agitator?
It would take 3 hours with a front load machine to wash the same load. 30min is great.
I wish mines was see through.

I have SO much interest in washing machine
Thanks for this video. Does this machine have a Deep Fill option for the drum to fill up with water? I need it to completely fill.
Yes!
Noooo!!
This machine is comsumer reports 4th highest rated with LG taking 3 of the top 4 spots
I ended up buying the 6.0 capacity top load LG and I couldn't be happier. I have no idea why people say it doesn't add enough water. Maybe they need to read the instructions and have smaller loads
I just don’t understand how swishing the clothes around cleans better than an old school washer that agitates and allows the clothes to roll over.
Exactly
Every time I buy something/any machine, I started to watch videos about it.🥴🥴🥴
Same here. To late.
Me too it is very helpful to me
So do I 😒
Isn't that too little water? I think this
s what most people are complaining about HE Top Loads not washing well. I'd add more water.
I have a washer similar to this one. I never do a full load and always have to add more water. It doesn't look like it's doing much but the clothes do come out clean enough .
Does it wash bed sheets?
😂😂 clean enough sound bout right
I just replaced the suspension rods on mine, the basket was banging around even with a small amount of clothes, they looked good but weren't providing the correct resistance
Just bought one of these. I don't know why I'm here. I'm gonna just watch mine. Lmao
I am sure I will enjoy this LG washer if I follow the directions carefully. Of course on stained stuff, I likely will soak products seperately in a sink befiore using washer as I will stick with HE soap products on a HE washer.
Doesn't the washer have a pre soak option?
I have one thats very similar to this that we bought back in 2020. The machine performs very well, but the only gripe I have with it is that it will sit there and fart around forever trying to figure out how much water it has inside of it. Other than. that it has been a great machine so far.
Yes I want that one thank you 😊
Amigo 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
looks like a Rolls Royce plane engine. daamn!
Less soap is key! Just bought a lg front loader💕
Thank you for sharing!
arch angel thank you for sharing!
My sister needs something like this the other washer she has makes to much noises and shakes the entire house and it makes a really loud noise when draining water from the pipe as well
Thank you for this video. Pretty sure my agitator is broke and this is the exact same washer I have and I needed a refresh on its impeller
wddd
I'll never yell at my son again for playing video games.....can't believe I just watched a washing machine video for 30 minutes....my life has no meaning.
oh knowledge wold people move onto i love spin cicle😍
Only watched 1 minute of the video but I can tell you as an ex P&G'er that he used WAYYYY too much laundry detergent! When you think you are not using enough, use even less. Too much is not good for the washer.
Which explains why my clothes smell like detergent after the wash is done :P
Should have used DEEP WASH w/ EXTRA WATER choice for a wetter wash and better circulation.
So does this mean that you can't fill the machine with more clothes or does it just sense the amount of clothes you put in it and will add more water?
It's so extra lol. But that light is cool. At first I thought it was apart of the washing machine. That would've been cool
Some LG models have tublights.

Lj Lynn your clothes didn’t come out clean enough?
LG and SAMSUNG are so bad
Get a Speed Queen, “Ms Queen”
Don't it's not good for your health
My sister has one of these type of washers and they can’t get heavy clothes as clean an old fashioned machine
Dam for real?
@@maclac48 yeah, if you need clean clothes stick to the front loader of the classic top. These machine are awful
@@Tyler_Owen23 My friend that’s exactly what I did.
Why does the metal clang sound happen during cycles.
Is it a locking pin?
Think they could have really perfected that sound.
Can't you add more water or set it to cover your clothes? It seems like the clothes on top are not being washed properly?? thx!
no more new washer can do that .. even if you put it on deep fill it only adds 3 liters -_-' .. on my side .. i installed a " Y " on my water valve + garden ose and the " Y " has a valve for each output.. i just dump the ose inside and open the valve once the wacher had add his own water.
It doesn't need more water for this load. It does a bloom wash and they DO rollover. I dont get why people cant see that
If anyone pays attention the laundry in the top middle never got washed
I love it
I don't
are these basically the same that's still out there being sold in 2023 or have they changed? I can't seem to find videos of recent ones in action. Thanks
You watch a complete cycle when you bought a shitty Maytag that has an agitator. Agitators we’re good back in the day when they were larger and used more water. Today’s agitators suck big balls. Lol
The point you made is exactly correct. If you want "old school" agitator performance, then you are going to have to buy a commercial grade agitator machine.
Just bought this washer. Highly recommended by the seller (home depot). Didn't watch it in action until now. Weird.
Watch that squeaking closely because the plastic spokes under the wash plates on the LG break often
I can’t imagine a full load getting clean. 5.2 capacity for what? Every video shows less than half a load washing in a gallon of water.
newer machines weigh the clothes before a wash to determine how much water to use
@Ronald McFondle that just makes top loaders terribly inefficient with the space.
You could easily put that amount of clothes in a front loader with 1/3 the drum capacity (50 litre drum).
Its for ppl with large families and/or large comforters
@Ronald McFondle There would STILL be lots of room in a 50L drum front loader for this small amount of clothes to move around.
@Ronald McFondle a small load? Yes - a very small load.
Now - does this look overloaded to you? ua-cam.com/video/NObDCKbKPhI/v-deo.html
Tray, We Rented a Apartment, And We Just Have the Old GE Washer... But Until we Find a New House, We Cannot Change The Laundry Appliances. 🙁
This is where you are both right and wrong. You are wrong because the more water the less concentration of soap. The less water the more concentration of soap. Top load HE washers use quite a bit more water than front loaders. You are right because with
these machines they require a fraction of the detergent.
Tray whats your input in this washer? Are you happy with it? Looks like a great washer

I am in the market to replace the GE Hotpoint Washer and Dryer that I just purchased. The washer is very loud and wants to walk, it also binds my clothes into a bundled up mess. Model # HTW240. Looking for recommendations.

Funny I had a Whirlpool that had that as a setting. I tried it once and 2 out of 4 of us in the family broke out in a rash. I won't ever change from the old school type top load that I have.
I appreciate your video.
Great video. I’d like to see more :)
Mine will not power up only two years old. You have to unplug it and wait. Sometimes a day or two. LG needs to fix. Lot of people having the same problem on you tube.
How you put a light
You need to use a flashlight and some tape on glass so you can see.
Needs background music.
I suggest Don Henleys "Dirty Laundry."
Mine is just like this but I found a small nail clipper in it after a wash and now it sounds like a train running when I wash what you suggest

Same. I hate it! 😢
I love your washer batter 😁
Very good and interesting machine..
Love these deep washers except don’t put on high spin they will explode.
I put mine on extra high spin everytime I use mine, and i have had it for 5 years and have never had one problem with it!
@@lindseymcintosh342 that’s great
I wish it will
Can softener be added with the turbo wash? It basically does a drive by rinse on turbo wash compared to filling it with water and softener.

I am not begging for comments.
