Mmmy Grand Pa use to listen such ragaas and as a child we use to laugh. It off.But now a days I am of that age and these Ragaas are the essential ingredient of Indian culture.One tends to appreciate more from a distance-Other side of the globe-California.Sometimes I think these ragas contribute to the Indian society to be democratic!
When I get up in the morning Raag Lalit by Paluskar is the first raag I listen to as I drink my first cup of coffee. Then I go and play tennis for an hour or so. Yesterday I did not listen to Lalit by Paluskar before I started playing tennis. Something was missing. I was not hitting the ball right. Then I began to listen to Paluskar on my phone and lo and behold I started to hit the ball right again.

Hats off to the one of the all time greatest singer of Hindustani classical music--Pt. DV Paluskar in his silken / velvet-voice and his voice control.

pt.dv paluskar ji...from 1920 to 1954....passed away due to encephalitis..financially he was not doing well. he performed a legendary jugalbandi with ut amir khan saab in raga desi from film baiju bawra. It was a real unfortunate incident that a stalwart of such a calibre passed away at such a young age.
This is for entire cosmos not just for human beings. Pandit ji is chosen by creation to convey to all. We can only express gratitude to Creator for giving opportunity to listen and Pranam to Pandiji.

What a beautiful and soft voice. Bade Ghulam Ali had the skills but his voice was too harsh.
unfortunate we are! He left the world so early! Probably one of the best rendition of lalit i have ever heard!
