    I love seeing interviews from the point of view of a person who actually loves the song/artist they're talking to. (Not like an obsessive fan, but someone who just appreciates the art.) You can tell Gabe's genuinely interested in talking to them instead of going through the motions.
    I really hope these guys qualify and pull the "Moldova 2022" move with televote. Such a good song

      I've seen some other interviews where the interviewers kept making jokes about their names and the title being sooo hard to pronounce (tbh... it's not that hard; it's just long). And you could tell that these guys tried to be cool about it, but they looked a bit tired of it. Like... you could talk about their chemistry, about Estonian culture hidden in the song, about the new album... But you keep making jokes like: "hehehe foreign language hard, lol"? It's pretty annoying even as a viewer xDD

      @@PersonaNG-oo7ku yes !! just say (nendest) at the very least if you don’t bother to make an effort and try your best - but then again, isn’t it the whole point of eurovision to showcase your culture and get acquainted with other cultures in turn lol

      @@PersonaNG-oo7ku I totally agree with you about the song title being just long but not hard. Like, I could easily say it after some small rehearsing 🤷🏻‍♀️

      @@PersonaNG-oo7ku good points about interview subjects on their chemistry, Estonian culture reflected in the song and instruments, and/or their new album; lots to talk about. BTW the Estonian language is one of the most difficult though (it's the top Latin alphabet based most difficult language) just before Finnish and Hungarian (all uralic) mostly due to the case systems (14, 15 and 18 respectively) (while English has barely 8) and the number of diphthongs (Estonian has 33) so it's no small feat to pronounce this song title correctly, for most people. You could see how they were very impressed, rightly so.

    • @PersonaNG-oo7ku
      @PersonaNG-oo7ku 10 місяців тому

      @@skyefab Oh, I'm very aware it's difficult, because I wanted to learn Finnish for over a decade and I still know like 15 words xD (I'm very bad at learning languages, tbh, but still...) And now this music makes me want to learn Estonian on top of it, because why not.
      When it comes to pronunciation tho, I think it's the classic case of: "it's simple or not, depending on what languages you already speak". My native language is Polish, so Estonian seems super easy to pronounce. I probably have an obvious accent, but I don't struggle to replicate any those sounds. (That's the neat feature of Polish. If you know it, other languages seem pretty doable in terms of speaking rules.)

    As an Estonian who hasn't been a die heart fan of 5 Miinust or Puuluup, I'm pretty surprised and impressed about how proud they have managed to make me feel. And not only with their song, but their interviews and attitudes as well. All these years I've just kind of been aware of their existence, but that has been pretty much it. Haven't been listening to either band daily, but I'm actually excited about their collab album. I wasn't sure how their "(Nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) midagi" would be accepted in other countries and I'm so happy that I've seen positive responses more than negative ones.
    I'm definitely keeping my fingers crossed and hope for the best for the semi-final. And even if they don't qualify, I'm probably still going to be their fan now. :P

    • @Kattinkkka
      @Kattinkkka 10 місяців тому +1

      What's that supposed to mean?
      Oh I just got it. You mean they talk like any other person! Because that's what all the construction men in the world and our boys are doing.
      My apologizes for not getting it earlier, I was too sleepy. But that must be it! Because there's no way you would actually have the nerve to come here just to imply there was something wrong with the way all the construction workers and our boys talk, right? RIGHT?! Because that's incredibly rude if you did.

      @Kattinkkka 10 місяців тому

      @@arttuhamalainen507 ... still not 100% sure what you mean, but okay. Haven't met any Estonian constructor who would speak in any particular way. Even though I've met a few. And I would apologize for mistaking a joke for an attempt to mock or insult, but if you had immediately said Estonian construction men and put on a smiley face or something then it would have been more obvious, that you were in fact trying to be funny.. :P So I actually am not going to do that. Not my fault I misunderstood.
