- This is an excerpt from Mike Avery's Outdoor Magazine TV show (www.outdoormaga...). It features video from more than twenty years ago of Ted Nugent talking about why he wrote the song "Fred Bear". This piece includes rare vintage video of bowhunting legend Fred Bear recorded in 1985 shortly before his death. You won't see another Ted and Fred video like this one.
The only song I can listen to for 25 years and still get a chill every time!
I guess I'm kind of randomly asking but does anyone know of a good place to watch new tv shows online ?
@Xzavier Dean Flixportal :)
@Benson Miguel Thanks, signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) I really appreciate it!!
@Xzavier Dean no problem :D
it mesmerizes me man, the last 2 weeks i cant get it out of my head
We all love Uncle Ted and Fred Bear here in Michigan 🦌
As a fellow Michigan resident and Whitetail hunter, I couldn't agree more!! 👍🎯
I hate pedo teddy and live in Michigan so you are wrong. I can't support pedos like teddy.
I am no hunter, but I also feel that connection to the great outdoors. There is no feeling in the world that compares to being out in the woods for me. I feel this song in my bones, and it will forever be one of my absolute favorites for the feeling it brings to me.
Balling my eyes out cause my bow hunting friend was taken young and every arrow I let go feels like he is there before our big hunt
Fred created a lot of outdoorsman watching his shows as they grew up, he’s quit a man, Rest In Peace my friend 🙏 and thank you uncle Ted !
Bet you wouldn't let ted hang out with your daughter. LOL.
In the wind he's still alive!
Every Opening Day of archery season, as were tearing down the road headiin' for the deer woods at 3:30 or 4:00a.m.! Me and my best buddy & huntin' partner Tom ALWAYS crank that tune at least once ( or SIX times!! ) or it just wouldn't be Opening Morning??? Because, in the woods he's still alive and I'm glad to have him at my side, both Tom & Fred!! GREAT TIMES and a GREAT SONG that can never be matched!!
Love it...back when Ted shot the greatest bow of all time. Claude Pollington's Oneida Eagle.
I still have 4 of them!!!
That’s right Ted he’s always on my shoulder and every time I shoot a deer I always thank God and Fred.
I got that feeling again!! In the wind he is still alive!!!!🍻🔥
Fred bear accomplished a lot. He was also a nice man. He signed my bear take down recurve for me and I still have it.
Song makes me cry, almost every time!
That song is without question on par or better than his classics like Cat Scratch, Stranglehold, Livin in the Woods, Just What the Doctor Ordered etc.
Definitely does bring a tear , the song pierces the soul.
As a fellow bow hunter (I shoot a fred bear kodiak magnum) Hands down, my favorite Ted Nugent song
Long live Uncle Ted & the wonderful memories of the late, great, Fred Bear ! Absolutely an incredible heartfelt song paying tribute to Fred Bear ! 🎸🦌
Ed Bilderbuck, according to Fred Bear, was the greatest bow hunter.
"You can learn more about hunting in 1 week with a bow, than perhaps a gun owner might in their entire life"
Words of genius
Yes, in fact you can hear Fred say that in an interview I did with him. ua-cam.com/video/JEaaESlTJog/v-deo.html
@@MikeAveryOutdoors thanks for sharing it. I couldn't remember the video
@@MikeAveryOutdoors THANKS! just watched it! fantastic interview!
I'm not doubting Fred's hunting abilities but I'd rather be with the Benoit family, I'm a diehard gun lover and the stick and string don't have a soul like a rifle does and chasing big bucks through the big woods are what I'm interested in..
Awesome beautiful song classic! ❤️🇺🇲😎👍
He was the ( BEST HUNTER EVER & HE WAS A CONSERVATION HERO TOO.)
So my buddy in Hanover shoot Ted's Russian boar when it escaped. I was surprised to see all the pictures of Fred Bear in Blaney Park, Mi. To me that swamp is in Blaney Park. That's the home of modern archery. That swamp where Fred Bear got his first deer with a bow at age 42. Somewhere on that 30000 acres in a swamp with a ridge. It very well could be were I hunt on my ridge over the swamp. A Club destination was Blaney Park, 30,000 acres of Upper Peninsula woodland. It was there, in 1935, that Fred arrowed his first whitetail, a spike buck.
Respect To Ned 🏞️ Greetings From England 🏴👍🌄
Chills
THE WHACKMASTER COMETH!
I would almost bet that most hunters under 40 couldn't even tell you the name of the bow that Ted is holding in this video without having to Goggle it first!
Haha Oneida I’m guessing. I always wanted to shoot one
Uncle Teddy!
Fed didnt like ted at frist because Ted was a long hair no joke.
@@mikegoodlock7821 B.S. Ted and Fred Ted didn't meat Fred until his dad took him over to Fred's house Ted had long hair as a kid. So when you flip out on me in Tex think about what you have to say. And if you don't believe me I seen the interview of Ted talking about Fred Ted is the one who said this in a interview not me.
@@mikegoodlock7821 and I see you are so smart to call me out on what you think is a lie. How much bow do you pull back? Can you shot any bow? Compound Bow is E-Z so you tell me MR. know it all about Ted and Fred?
ED BILDERBACK
IDK that much about Fred Bear but when the Nuge wrote that song and Kiss my Ass I DEFINITELY knew I was a Ted Nugent fan!!! I was before this but I didn't quite have the understanding of the outdoors going on until I heard Fred Bear/ Kiss my Ass!!! I knew of songs like CSF, Wango Tango, Stranglehold, and Great White Buffalo ( which at that time I didn't know was a late Amboy Dukes era song), however; DEFINITELY think this song cemented his solo career!!! I do find it interesting that the more radical ( not left wing) the Nuge got the more Conservative in principle he got!!! Always found that interesting!!! DEFINITELY... An interesting dude 😎!!!
Never more true words you're learning more about deer from closer encounters vs long range shooting deer. Before the gunshots deer behaviors is more natural they don't feel pressured or nervous no other hunting like that to me.
Looks like an ole Oneida bow Ted I carrying.
I wonder why ted never used anything made by Bear......
I walk the woods in the North Fed did yes there are Bear but I am after deer with my bow hours in the woods.
Rite on
Uncle teds the best !!
Miss Fred Trost. I'll talk to you soon Uncle Ted. 💪💪🦌🦃🎣
Ted is a hottie. Good video. Fred Bear was inspiration to all hunters.
Fred good guy
@@jimdillon7691 Fred yes... Teddy smells...has shit in his pants
ONE OF THE GREATEST ASSHOLES OF ALL TIME BUT GREAT TUNE.
Ted was also a draft dodger
Fake News Douchebag
@@MisterTwister88 your fake news yo yo
@NavDocRet he faked symptoms by his own admission. Same difference
Doesn’t matter, it was a pointless fucking war and that can’t straight from my papa’s mouth who served 2 combat tours 173rd airborne. Nobody and I mean nobody should be expected to give there youth to fight a war started by politicians over an absolute lie. We’re supposed to have liberty in this country and the idea that you can be threatened at gun point to go fight a war by politicians who’s own children are protected from having to do the same is absolute bullshit. The draft should have never been a thing same as selective service.
So was Muhammad Ali you sanctimonious asshole.
Does ted talk about little girls while on breaks? Thanks
