Shout-out to the dispatcher. Did a phenomenal job.
Pretty sure he was retiring today. Not a good way to go out.
@@douglassadowski5510 Wow.
Right on.
Thanks
I’m pretty sure Bronx Dispatcher 150 is retiring today. What a way to go out. God Bless all involved.
He is... I feel so bad for him, having to hear all the frantic calls begging for help...
Incredible. Thank god such an experienced pro was at the controls.
jesus thats a horrible way to retire
Retired 25 year dispatcher here. I hope he can view it as he was still around an extra day to lend his expertise. Wonderful job on a horrible incident.
Nah, they are amazing professionals.
Huge props to the dispatcher, keeping all of that straight. I’ve never worked anything but standard 1-Alarm fires…I can’t imagine working a 5-Alarm. Sending love to every single firefighter and EMS on scene, and all the families and loved ones affected. 💔
Div 7 aid had his hands full with all that info coming and going. Great job brother. Being the aid at any fire is not easy. I can’t imagine what it must have been like at this job!
The dispatcher here is on the ball. Great job.
The dispatcher that was on the audio is Retiring Today at 6 PM EST after 25 years of Dispatching. Today was his last day…..
@@Fdnyrigs well thats a shitty way to retire
@@NickyD Or maybe he was supposed to be there for one of the most critical moments in FDNY recent history.
@@frankhazzard3250 It was meant to be, the most senior man needed to be on the radio for this
@@NickyD Not really, because now many people did the dispatcher save because of his expertise and experience in a situation like this? Had he would not have acted fast, then how much more would the fire consume?

This is so sad. Thank you FDNY and first responders. Y all will forever be angels on earth
dispatcher handled this amazingly, kept cool and talked clearly, very good job from him
Such a terrible fire. Huge respect to the FDNY & First Responders for what they have had to deal with. Can't even begin to imagine. 🙏
Nothing would scare the crap out of me more going in a building directly into a working fire
Jimmy AKA Dispatcher 150 did a wonderful job today and he kept it cool not sure this is how he wanted to walk away but I wish him the best with retirement!!
go out with a bang. Would prefer him over a rookie.
@@HighwayLand amen brother
He is a professional.
Thanks
Really horrible incident. 54 injuries, 32 life-threatening! Wish all patients full recovery.
Prayers to everyone injured & displaced by this fire.
At least 19 deaths for now.
Supposedly it is this dispatchers last shift he is retiring at 6:00 pm
God Bless him!
Who cares
@@joeburros4878 no need to be rude
Yes that’s correct, today was his last day dispatching retiring after nearly 25 Years on the job with the FDNY.
@@joeburros4878 🥰
FDNY dispatchera may very well the best in the world!
No doubt about it
All business. On the ball and so efficient.
...so sad to listen to! FDNY made their best to rescue as many as they can!
Special thoughts, prayers, and condolences go out to the families of these victims. It’s even more horrible knowing that children are also victims. God bless them all.
If they had a dispatch Hall Of Fame, he has my vote. Insanely good, this coming from a firefighter.
Thanks. Taking a bow
@@jimmyr2713 great work Jimmy! All of the dispatchers within the FDNY do a tremendous job at what they do. Congratulations on you’re retirement!
@@jimmyr2713 Seriously, great work, from a fellow Dispatcher/ EMT.
This has to be one of the most horrifying incidents I have ever seen. If you have family, take the time to tell them you love them, and take the time to say a prayer for the good people that live in that building. They are hurting badly and need some love.
Many respects to the dispatcher!!! 🖤💛🖤 #thingoldline everyone who responded many respects to you too!!
I wonder if this started like at the 2230 grand concourse apartment block, that started at 2am Saturday morning.
That fire started with a lithium battery fire on an electric scooter in a restaurant then spread through the walls into the apartments.
That became a 4 alarm fire and is on the FDRV channel.
annocued alreday the cause was a space heater
Terrible. 19 confirmed dead including 9 children. Prayers to everyone involved
GOD bless the souls lost, families, and ALL RESCUE FD, EMT, and ER. I wish I had the money to buy LOUD fire detection alarms for all buildings like this.
@ 4:00 Apt 3B Occupant with newborn sheltering in place. That's the original fire floor, pray they got them out.
OMG What in the hell is going on with all of these fires in the city during the past week?
My God this is such a tragedy in our city those children lost their lives along with adults my heartfelt Prayers goes out to their families.
8 children among 12 dead in large Philadelphia house fire a tragedy last weekend
Not to start an argument but do you know how many fires happen daily that you never hear about.
@@kevinkelly5249 yes but he makes a valid point
@@kevinkelly5249 WTF Are you talking about?I don't know where in the hell you live?but when we have a serious and tragic situation like this fire especially where so many children and adults lost their lives and add to the fact there are more victims in the hospital who may not make it?becasue they're in very very critical condition from smoke inhalation.Where not talking about a little fire in a small apt, house in a little one horse or car town where in a very big city where this was one of the fourth major fire tragedy in NY in 30 yrs?
DON'T COME AT ME WITH STUPID BS QUESTIONS LIKE THE ONE YOU ASKED ME?PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES AND YOU'RE ONLY WORRIED ABOUT HOW MANY DAMN FIRES THAT HASN'T BEEN REPORTED?WHO GIVES A RATS ASS?

@@MusicLoverPearson You're surprised and shocked by this?
It's the hood, you fool. The projects. It's a loony bin. Wake up.
I noticed as well how long it took to even transmit the 2nd alarm, esp considering they had already received calls from people trapped. Other than that, overwhelming response I bet they surprised once they saw the situation with so many people overcome. Dispatcher 150 (Jimmy) did an unbelievable job commend him so much. His experience showed through, shame he was retiring but I know he earned it. Glad he was there that day!
This had to be an epic response by FDNY knowing what happened in PA.
I could be listening to this all day...hold on I have been. Its fascinating to listen too. Not a job for me i'd be spinning out. Cheers NYFD

@@Fdnyrigs awesome thank you!
Dispatcher did an outstanding job and needs to be recognized ! This is how it should be done ! FDNY the best FD in the world and it shows. Unfortunately that building was a death trap ! Rescues were made and as horrible as this was it could have been a lot worse ! Dispatch is the glue !

Meanwhile across town …a police car is purposely set on fire.
God bless our first responders.
I feel so terrible for the kids and adults smh
Wow! Very interesting video! I have also subscribed :D
Sad.. All those lost souls…
do u have any vids of those trucks responding to the fire?
Seems a long time before he transmitted the 2nd. Not even an extra engine and truck before that.
Great job of course by the Bronx fellas.

Why doesn't FDNY use the NATO phonetic alphabet? @13:25
We just use what we use.
Why do they keep ending things with “K”?
It's like saying "over" to signify end of transmission
Oh interesting I’ve never heard that before
@@fhowland It's a NYC thing.
Signifies the end of a transmission that requires a reply.
Its a tradition. in the FDNY in the 19th century they would close out ticker tape messages with the morse code k to signify the end of the transmission, they have kept it alive to signify the message is over, NYPD says the same
Hope they end up telling what happened in the ordeal .what was cause
@12 min 6 10-45. !!!!
my condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in this terrible fire. I think the execution of aid from the emergency forces was very disorderly. They took too long to extinguish the flames and then they did not collect the hoses that hinder the work of the paramedics.
Perhaps you should have gone in there and shown them how it’s done!
Are u serious right now this is literally worst case possible let’s see u jump in there show em how it done big boy
Then you obviously know nothing about emergency services. Sit this one out, bro
