My Aby is my baby. He’s extremely loyal and loves his mama. He even tries to drive my husband away so he can sit next to me on the couch. Abys are not for the faint of heart though; they are phd level cat parenting.
I went to the local shelter in order to get a little friend for my tabby, who is an outside cat, but seemed to be lonely when he was in the house all day. As I looked through all the cats who were screaming at me, this one little kitten just stared at me intently, so I took her home. She immediately bonded with me and talked my ear off. I noticed she had a cough, so I took her straight to the vet. The vet told me she was a Abyssinin cat. I had never heard of this breed before. I have owned many cats all my life and she was extremely different in character than all of them. I began researching her breed and to my surprise, she exhibits all the charactor traits in this video. I named her Angel, because she is the most loving and playful cat I ever had. Plus, she just walked right up to my big bad Tabby named Glock and began playing with him without fear. Glock of coarse was hissing at her, but she paid it no mind. They are now the best of mates and play all day long after have a long sleep together on my bed. It is a joy to watch. She follows me around the house like a puppy dog getting into everything I do and stares intensely into my eyes during her I love you moments. I was very luck to find her.
I can attest to the Abbysinian being one of the top 5 smartest cats. My Abby stands out in stark contrast fr all my other cats. She understands and answers to whatever I say to her. She opens doors by jumping on the handle of the door latch. And she is totally devoted and loyal to me..
@@1961Lara my one other snowshoe did this. But he was clumsy and fell into the bowl. Still he tried and now he is smart enough to put his left and right legs on the 2 sides to balance himself..😂
@@philipprichardt8057 No one taught mine. She simply observed me opening the grilled door and did the same. Only she and her son know how to do that, not any of the other cats..
Not too loud at all, still very energetic, also super smart, affectionate, and in my opinion, as I had two, are the best cats I have ever encountered. Loved my aby cats
I got two brothers, one meows at a reasonable volume when he's hungry or before he pukes. The other one hardly ever meows and when he does it's a very soft kitten like meow.
how about foxes and predator birds?! what are the risks for this cat breed to be taken by wild life if one got it as an outside-inside cat 20%-80% at the countryside?! I had a Russian blue that was huge and came wild to our cottage house when it was 4-6 months old... it could live for a month alone hunting and getting access to the lawn where we had a heating lamp, a really cozy cave for him with water and food for a month when we were back in the city... He learned to fight off foxes, predators of all sorts and other cats... but now I really like this breed! But it seems many kilos smaller than the Russian Blue!? Maybe the fur makes this cat breed look smaller than the a russian blue!? -can you exercise and feed this breed to get strong and able to handle itself as a good hunter living both inside and outside as well!? The Russian Blue had no issues with handling the Swedish Winters either... But now we really like this breed as out next cat! 😻
I have had 9 Abby’s. They have all been hilarious, super smart, and snuggly. 3 lived past 20 and two others made it to 17. Wonderful cats.
I recently got 2 Abyssinian kittens and they are the loves of my life. Best decision I ever made

I had a male who taught himself to pee in the toilet by himself..

My abby learned from a friend of mine how to open doors. It took him only a few repetitions to understand.

Just wondering.. are they very loud like bengal cat?

Mine doesn't make unnecessary noises. She only answers when I talk to her or when she asks to be let out..

Ok thanks boys and girls:))

The voice has GOT to go! The Aby's should narrate.

I hate computer generated voices. I refuse to listen to them. Take the time to do your own voiceover.
