Great close-up shot of the launch and takeoff, this Beaver looks perfect in this green liver. Hope they had a good trip up North, and lots of fun summer float flying.
I have built a couple of these launch truck setups , 4 wheel drive transfer case to front wheel drive , weld the frame to the front of the truck add couple little wheels .
Very nice. The Okanagan is a wonderful area. My folks lived in OK Falls at the south end of Skaha Lake for decades. Penticton airport used to be a busy place with Boeing 737's making regular flights at one time. Kelowna kind of took over in that regard. Fortunate to have such a calm day for launch. There's often a strong south west wind (prevailing) blowing up the lake. I was surprised to see a take off to the north! South end of airport runway only a couple hundred yards north of the highway.
@@VMCAviationVideos Such a calm day that I don't think it mattered. He would have been talking to the Penticton Airport controller for clearance I reckon. Destination was north, so it would make sense that was his choice, wind conditions permitting.
Hi, do you have anymore info on this plane? Maybe know who owns it? It has been abandoned in my backyard area for over 2 years now on US side of Osoyoos BC. I’d like to see if someone is going to come get this plane or not…. Thank you
@@VMCAviationVideos I have built a couple of this style of launch trucks , I myself like using solid front axle vs torsion suspension , I built one from a 82 Dodge K-car I think it is still used on Sprout Lake .
That truck was tripping me out for a second.
Yo, me too

What a beautiful plane.
Love the sound of the raydial engines
Absolutely fantastic! It is on my bucket list. Cheers
Beautiful BC scenery and a beautiful Beaver/ What a way to live. By Canadian standards 1255 nm is just up the road.
Incredible video! That was a very low pass over the road!
Haha, yes it was pretty low.
Beautiful plane, great video
She is a beautiful Canadian girl. Love flying in her

Very good movie mate!!. Excellent maneuver to place the seaplane on the water!!. Thanks for upload it.
Thanks for sharing this high quality video.
No more seaplanes in my home country after several incidents....
Which country?
@@VMCAviationVideos Oops sorry. I am from Germany.
Awesome!
Thanks!
What about the ropes hanging off of the wings? Just leaving them there?
Superb Video!

Not sure why he took off to the north ❓

@@MikeSiemens88 I agree, he was going north and he also had to warm up the engine.
@@VMCAviationVideos The long taxi would allow him to go thru checklist items as well.

Beavers sound like what airplanes are supposed to sound like
Pretty soon it will be all electric.
That depends. Only RADIAL Beavers sound like airplanes are supposed to sound like. Turboprops sound like, well,.................................
Great
Thanks!
WERE OUT OF COEURDALENE ID AND WEVE HAD 2 SEAPLANES ON THE LAKE NOW WE HAVE 2 MORE THE LAST PILOT DIED WHEN THE PLANE FELL INTO THE LAKE
1:26 WTH why the back of a truck is gone!??!
Hard to maneuver if you have 3 axles

1:24 wha... you cut the back off the truck.
Sorry
How do you conduct an engine run up on water and check magnetos?
Same as on land
@@VMCAviationVideos
But you cannot apply brakes on water, unless you are tight up. Wouldn’t you just start a take-off run at 2400 RPM?
@Westerly Winds I watched one video where he did his magneto checks at an extremely low rpm.
Pump out the floats.
This looks like penticton
Barely could see the takeoff!
Wait, why is there half a truck, I'm confused...lol
To move seaplanes around 😄
I wouldn't launch my boat in any way that wonkey and it's all welded aluminum, that said the beaver is probably better built than my boat!
this is the most midlife crisis video i've ever seen
Haha 👍
Too bad we didn't get to see it take off. Boooo
