Hey mate great Vid. Not sure if you are aware but this Thursday Emma Hurst is pushing a bill through parliament to effectively ban the collection, use and sale of live and fresh bait for fishing. Spread the word and write to your local member to express that this will destroy the recreational fishing industry
Yeah haven't heard about that mate but not good at all I will pin you comment to the top of list for people to see cheers 👍
how stupid! I hope it doesn't pass. I can't imagine it would.
Some mad greenie with no idea about fishing and sustainability!
I always get more hookups within the hours before and after sunrise
Yeah best time mate to fish 👍
Skin the dart mate and they are great
Yeah I filleted and skin one cut blood line out cook it but still didn't like it
they have a weird small too there meat 👍
Good session, Ricky. There's something very calming about beach fishing.
Thanks yeah very relaxing beach fishing 👍
Loved it mate, great vid.
Thanks mate cheers 👍
Good to see someone else who hates getting pinched by nippers
Lol 🤣👍
My brother and I used to get out 90 mins before dawn. About an hour before dawn you get the false dawn which is the best time to start fishing especially for pelagics.
Perfect time for fishing mate cheers 👍
I totally agree with you about the small legal size for tarwhine they should have a legal size maybe 25, 27 cm. I caught a cracker of a Tarwhine from Lake Macquarie last year 49 cm !
Yeah they need to change the size on them for sure at least 25cm at smallest or even bigger 49 cm is a good one mate 👍
nice video - enjoy your lunch!
Cheers was good 👍
Is Tawhine the same as a Bream? Looks like a Bream we get in Queensland.
Hi mate they are to different fish bream and tarwhine but do like similar but tarwhine have a more rounded head and yellow stripes down the size of it
And when you gut it has black stomach lining where bream are white inside cheers 👍
@@stickyfishyfishing thanks Sticky. Looking forward to getting back into it now the weather is cooling a bit in QLD 😊
I’ve caught many a double dart sticky, they’re a pest when you’re trying to catch whiting!!!
Yeah there can't be a pest mate👍
Great vid mate , where’s some good spots to get nippers at in the area?
Thanks mate any of the sand flats hold nippers mate 👍
Hi champ, what do you recommend to tie a rig for the boat for the boat.
Hi mate depending on what fish you're after for a boat rig ?
Sticky mate hope you’ve been well good to see you’re still posting sick vids. Can I ask if you caught the nippers yourself or bought them?
Nippers are very easy to collect yourself. All you need is an Alvey or Wilson bait pump. Find a good sandy area at low tide. You can also get green nippers which are smaller than pink nippers. From March through Winter, live green nippers are excellent for catching blackfish and whiting.
Thanks mate I caught them myself mate just using a pump on the sand flats cheers 👍
Great vid as usual Sticky, your vids make it feel like we're right there with you! Hey when you said people cast out too far, is that just for bait fishing? I'm moving into land based fishing & keen to target the tailor which are starting to show around here in Northern NSW, but I'm always torn between the 12ft Penn prevail or the nice light 9ft Atomic arrow rig for the beach, what do you reckon? Cheers Bro.
Thanks mate yeah only need to fish in close for bream whiting even tailor but sometimes tailor will hang out a further on the back of the gutter so when tailor fish pays to try close and out further off the beach bait fishing better of with the 12ft rod with bait to keep your line above the waves but 9ft is good for casting metal lures off the beach for tailor cheers 👍
Do you have issues with line twists
Nah mate every now and then mite get some but not enough to worry about 👍
@@stickyfishyfishing ty
