you all probably dont give a damn but does anyone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot my password. I love any help you can give me
another question one of my test question give me the option and i know it sounds but the oxygen tank is 50% full ? it doesn't make sense but I want to make sure I'm clear on that one.
When he checked the seal he already had it all on and he turned the entire SCBA off which is very dangerous. When I check my seal I do it when only the mask is on and cover the hole with my hand.
@@D_V_.746 _"why you are not completely screwed if the integrity of the mask is damaged whilst operating in a hazardous atmosphere"_ Sorry I'm late to the party, but I'm curious; Is that because of constant over-pressure compared with the environment? The way you explained it, I can't help but compare it to my CPAP/APAP device. Constant pressure means the only air reaching my face is air coming thru the device (as long as it pushes, anyway. The mask has inward check-valves so I don't asphyxiate in a power outage).
I have a question the bypass valve should be on or off during the use of the equipment? by the name bypass I understand that should be used in case that something is not working right. is this correct or wrong. Thx!
You would check the gauge at the start. ? It would be pointless running through all these checks if there wasn't enough air available. It would waste valuable time taking it back off and putting on another B.A..
Luke Wright yes of course. From what I know you check your equipment every day and again on the way to the fire. The last check is for your own safety ( you dont say, all of these steps are for my own safety *facepalm* ) just to check if everything is really alright
66 metres (217 ft) Depth at which breathing compressed air exposes the diver to an oxygen partial pressure of 1.6 bar. Greater depth is considered to expose the diver to an unacceptable risk of oxygen toxicity.

Although it is recommended to put the mask on and the hood after, you can also have a good seal when the hood is on, before donning the mask. Just need to set the straps correctly.

one thing stood out to me here, once opening the airflow from the cylinder, fully, he proceeds to close the valve by a quarter turn. I have never seen this, in my 2 years of HazMat / Environmental Emergency Response on the field. Even in my SCBA training, this is not something we do. Can anyone explain the reasoning behind this? Im open to taking on a new technique if its actually beneficial.
my left ear really enjoyed this video
I always have my left one in and i just realized there is music in the left one
Same here

Once the belt is connected i would tie/wrap up the loose part. It was hanging loose, that could cause a snag
Thanks, i need this for my drills 🙏
Mulțumesc sint si eu la început de drum mult succes 😅😅😅😅
Thank you I will be practicing how to don a BA set today at course. 😃

How much time to breathe you have with that on???

Collin Rykaczewski Holy cow! Thanks for this comment!

Well done man
what would you say is the distance of the pyrex glass to your eye?
How much pressure gauge maintain for confined person
One Day I'd like to do My breathing apparatus course
Why do firefighters use gas tanks instead of a gas masks (filter)?
Because of temperature, and no filter can provide adequate airflow immediately while also safely filtering out everything.
Is the same air used in diving compressed in to these BAs?
up to a certain distance, at deep distances oxygen become toxic i believe, just search at what depth is compressed air safe underwater

Nice instructions
very useful viedo and give me knowledge thanks

I love this careers
Why do you have to turn it back a quarter turn? 1:40
you don't. Every service does things their own way mate.
The reason for this has to do with expanding values.... Things get hot they expand
For air conservation
Douglas Erickson no scuba divers also do a quarter back turn and there's no heat in cold lakes lol
Its to prevent it from seizing. You do the same thing with climbing carbiners
Great
thank you garret morgan for the invention of the gas mask
Why did he not know where the pressure gauge was right off the bat?
....why use the neck-strap, when you just can stress the regulator hose......!!!
damn!! this video makes me want to be a FIREMAN!!!!!!
Join the merchant navy use BA all the time
Join the navy. You'll be a firefigter
Or go to a VFD and be a volunteer
Are you a firefighter now? It's been 5 years now

i want this mask..
Ok it's probably just me but don't you put your tan hoodie on first then the mask
It can cause leaks in the mask
You pull the hood over after the scba
Although it is recommended to put the mask on and the hood after, you can also have a good seal when the hood is on, before donning the mask. Just need to set the straps correctly.

It’s to prevent backseating it’s applicable to most valves that prevents damage and possibly failure over time
To see if the pressure drops
It's also to check the pressure for fluctuations
Nice
